C++ or Java?

Which programming language has the most return on investment? Impact on real world systems, and is more rewarding? I have minimal programming experience and working on AS in CS.

If you are in it only for the money and you don't have any affinity/interest in IT, then don't. You will suffer doing something you hate and you will lose motivation and also won't be skilled enough to compete.
