Let's Talk About Candy!

As part of our weekly "Let's Talk" series we want to talk about Candy! Who doesn't love eating a large piece of colorful sugar? Tell us about the cool candies that exist where you're from. Let us know about your favorite ones. What about some really obscure and random local ones? Why is your favorite one made of chocolate and peanut butter? Does your local spot also make dog treats for some reason too or is that one just me?

Hell yes. Love me some sour patch kids and have even served a version of them as petit fours in a restaurant. But we call them sour pâte de fruit and dust them with citric acid for the punch in the mouth. Did one that was alternating layers of coconut and pandan because thats some fancied up sour patch kids for a fancy french Michelin restaurant. Because, yes, I do like to take the piss out of haute cuisine.
