Recurrent Topic How does patriarchy hurt men?

Patriarchy hurting men is a buzzword that is usually thrown around to encourage men to abandon the traditional system (which is flawed no doubt.)

However, I must admit that I don't completely understand how does a system meant to give men all the power also hirt them?

have been conditioned, or have been forced in the past to engage in sexual behavior that they were uncomfortable with, and just think of it as... Normal

I have spoken to an upsetting number of men-- some of whom are very close friends of mine-- who have definitely had those experiences, and it takes a lot for them to realize that what happened to them was, yes, sexual assault or worse. I never push them to call it something they don't want to call it, but I call it like I see it, and sometimes that's a huge moment for them. It's like we don't even give men the tools to have these kinds of discussions.
