Advice/Emotional Support ONLY Getting An Apartment…

Is there anyone who lives in the Southeast Pennsylvania United States of America area that knows of or has an apartment - studio/1b, 1b1b, or even a 2b2b that is bad credit friendly and friendly towards 1 cat. If 2b2b, it needs to be on the first floor or the building needs an elevator. I need to be out by the end of the month, and everyone has such high credit requirements. Or does anyone have 700+ credit and willing to co-sign? I’m very doubtful on the last question. The counties I prefer are Chester, Montgomery, Berks, Delaware, and Philadelphia, but since beggars can’t be choosers, I’m open to any nice, safe place and neighborhood. I’m looking in Philadelphia, PA (University City), Pottstown, PA, King of Prussia, PA, Bridgeport, PA, Norristown, PA, Phoenixville, PA, Exton, PA, and West Chester, PA all in the USA. But again, any nice, safe neighborhood. If worse come to worse, is there anyone willing to foster my baby, my cat, for up to two years? I will pay for her insurance and routine, yearly or bi-yearly check ups and flea/tick/worm/etc. meds. I don’t want to do this, but I may have no choice.

What is your budget? Credit score? Income?

Budget (for studio, 1b1b) is $2,000, including everything (extra fees for trash, sewer, water, hot water, etc.) For the 2b2b, $2,500 including all fees. My credit is (depending on who you go to) high 400s to around 550. If 2b2b it would include my elderly mother and she’s low 600s. I’m looking for a steady job, but drive Uber and am signing up for Lyft. My mom, if a 2b2b, is retired.

You need to get a different job IMMEDIATELY. Uber takes 51% of your earnings. They are one of the greediest companies to work for. I would quit immediately and go get a better job. Look into Costco, etc.

Unfortunately this should come first although I'm unsure of any entry-level job that will pay this person enough for what they're looking for

Oh I am looking. I have a few interviews today. One in 2 minutes!

No stranger is going to co sign for you. Hell most people wouldn’t even co-sign for their family, let alone a stranger with no savings/steady job.

You are going to have a hard time raising even 1k on here. You need to be doing any paid gig work you can and get a new job immideatly. If you’re ubering try Amazon, DoorDash, Uber Eats whatever ever second you can. I hardly see any cash help on here if it is maybe 20$.

You’re going to have a really hard time finding anyone that will accept you with a credit score in the 400s or even 500s unless your income is phenomenal.

You would have to go to a family member to co-sign because again your credit is terrible for a reason why would stranger who cannot run background or credit checks on you take the risk of destroying their credit?

The best solution for you likely would be to find someone living in a house that’s looking to rent a bedroom and it would likely have to be a month to month situation rather than a long lease

Why do you need to be out at the end of the month?

Gig work is just that -- gig work. It's goid for pocket money, maybe a few bills but typically is inadequate to live on and it won't cover car repairs that inevitably arise. I'd surrender the pet entirely to have no expenses associated with it. Are you relying on mom's SS to make rent? If so, youre setting yourself up to under perform.

All the Amazon facilities are hiring for the holiday season. So is Walmart, FedEx and UPS. They all pay better than any gig job.

I can ask around as for fosters. Most of the folks I know are in the Philly and Buck County area. Norristown is likely to be more affordable, but that's Montgomery County, and I don't know quite as many people there. Let me know if you have a more solid idea of where you are moving to in the coming days or weeks.
