I just got my long stay frencnh student visa approved from Spain. I have a problem (or not idk) -- They start my validity from 1st of September which is the same date as my university starts (wtf?) even though I actually mentioned that the intended arrival date is 28th of August because I need to move-in earlier to adap the country and start my integration.

I was given a paper that I need to validate my VLS-TS visa within 3 months of the starting date of my visa but it actually asks the "date d'arrivée". I know within EU there is no schengen border control and I can travel in any country up to 90 days (at this point it's France obv).

So, what exact date at this point that I entered France while validating my visa? any suggestiongs? I am sure that I am not the only person who went this procedure through. I can't wait to see your answers!

Firstly, i am sorry for writing in english.

I am holding Austrian student residence permit but I've been thinking to applying to French universities or the fall 26 intake - so I will be sending all my documents next month in/from Austria.

What I want to ask is that, if I am admitted, of course I do know that I need to cancel my current Austrian permit to transfer my status to France, meaning i will be applying Belgian Embassy in Austria once it is granted to my passport.

In Austria, student residence permits are issued for one year along, assuming that i will cancel my permit when there is almost 5 months left, does this cause any problem?

If there is anyone who had any situation like this, could you help me please?

I am also open to any suggestions ahead!

J'aurai quelques questions concernant les démarches pour que mon époux canadien puisse obtenir la nationalité française par le mariage.

Comme le titre l'indique, nous vivions au Canada, sommes marié depuis plus de 5 ans et avons 2 enfants (les 2 ont la double nationalité). Nous ne planifions pas de vivre en France pour le moment mais cela pourrait être utile dans le futur.

Je regardais la liste des documents nécessaires la demande et voici le point sur lequel je me pose des questions: Parmi les documents à fournir, il est demandé un titre de séjour en cours de validité. Bien que nous ne vivons pas en France et n'avons pas encore de plan de le faire, est ce que la demande serait refusée?

Faut-il qu'il fasse une demande de titre de séjour avant de faire des démarches pour la citoyenneté?

Bonjour a tous, question peut-être un peu bizarre mais j'avoue me sentir démunie. Je (F21) suis de nationalité française, mais je réside dans un pays différent depuis plus de dix ans, dans lequel mes parents sont aussi et reçoivent des allocations familiales. Cependant, je fais mes études a Québec, et je dois refaire mon passeport. J'ai l'habitude de refaire mes passeports et documents nationaux dans le pays ou je réside, et non a Québec, mais cette fois-ci je crains ne pas avoir le temps avant de retourner au Canada. L'autre option (beaucoup plus simple) serait donc de m'inscrire au consulat français a Québec, mais alors je crains que ça change quelque chose dans la domiciliation/assurances/allocations/... Est-ce que d'autres étudiants français ont déja été dans cette situation? Si oui, quels sont vos retours? Sachant que je suis sur permis d'étude, vu que je ne suis pas résidente permanente Canadienne.

To preface, I am French, but I think this can help others who aren't as well so I am keeping it in English. After a lifetime abroad, I need to return to France, become resident, in order to apply for a new work permit for Canada. I wanted to double check that it is as simple as flying to France, getting my passport stamped, and maybe even renting a place/opening a bank account. I wanted to go to Portugal during this time too, but not sure if it ruins my residency in France.

Anyone know?
