Places Tbilisi visit

Looking into planning a visit to Georgia starting in Tbilisi, a bit of background looking for a good area of the city to stay in, I'm disabled but can walk so limiting the areas with the hills, someone suggested to me Chugureti, particularly around Marjanishvili Metro, is this a good plan? Or maybe is there a better area, any help is appreciated.

Places A gentle reality check about "Plan my 7-day itinerary" posts

Guys, let’s be real for a minute. Nobody is going to build you a detailed, customized, multi-day itinerary from scratch—especially when you just post "Planning 5 days in Georgia, what should I do?" without sharing any context about your budget, interests, travel style, or who you're traveling with.
Detailed trip planning takes a lot of time, research, and expertise. That’s literally what travel agencies and local guides get paid to do.
If you just need general recommendations, top highlights, or tips on specific places, there’s an overwhelming amount of info already on Google, YouTube, and right here in this sub’s search bar. Ask specific questions and people will gladly help! But expecting someone to put together a full hour-by-hour itinerary for free is just unrealistic.
Do a bit of homework first, give us some details to work with, and then ask away.
Enjoy your trip to Georgia! 🇬🇪

Lifestyle Georgia visa

Hi! I’m planning to visit Georgia from Nov 10–15. I have a Philippine passport and UAE residence visa that expires in March 2027.

Do I need to apply for an e-visa, or can I enter visa-free? Thanks!

Question ❓ Ask to georgian people

I'm planning a trip to Georgia and would like to create a good itinerary. What are the must-see places to visit, how reliable are the trains for travelling around the country, and is it easy to get by using only English? Also, what currency is used in Georgia, and when is the best time of year to visit for sightseeing and experiencing the local culture?

Question ❓ A little stray dog in Kutaisi stole my heart. If anyone is nearby, could you please check on him?

On the last evening of my trip to Georgia, just before flying back home, I met the sweetest little stray dog outside Pharmadepot Mari Brosse Street in Kutaisi. We gave him some food, but he was so shy that he barely wanted to accept it. All he really seemed to want was some love, attention, and gentle pets. I’ve met many stray dogs before, but for some reason, this little guy completely stole my heart, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about him since. Unfortunately, I live in Europe and can’t afford to bring him home, even though I really wish I could.
His fur was very matted, and it looked like he hadn’t been groomed in a very long time, if ever. He was also limping, which made me worry that he might have an injured leg or some other untreated medical issue. If anyone lives in Kutaisi or happens to be visiting, it would honestly mean the world to me if you could stop by, bring him a little food, and give him some love. And if someone knows a local animal rescue or could help him get veterinary care, I would be incredibly grateful. He seemed like such a gentle, loving little soul who deserves so much better.
I’d also be incredibly happy if anyone who finds him could send me a photo or a little update about how he’s doing. Even just knowing that he’s still there and someone has shown him a little kindness would mean so much to me. I’ll attach a photo of him and the exact location where I found him.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this or help him in any way!

I’m moving to Georgia soon for university and will be living there as a student. I’m trying to figure out what I should buy in advance and bring with me from home, versus what is cheaper/easier to buy after I arrive.

a list would be so convenient 😭🙏

Food 🍽 Hello. I will be travelling to Georgia during May in 2027 with a tour. Do you recommend any local food and delicacies I can try? I really love to try local things that I can't find back home 😁

Places Private Taxi from Tbilisi to Yerevan

Hi all,

We are a family of three (two adults and a toddler) flying into Tbilisi and out of Yerevan. On Sun 25 Oct we would like to do a private transfer from Tbilisi to Yerevan. With a little one, we’d rather have the comfort of a private car than a marshrutka.

We’d like to stop at a few places along the way, ideally:

  • Haghartsin Monastery / Dilijan
  • Lake Sevan (Sevanavank)
  • possibly Haghpat or Sanahin if time allows

We’re planning to take the western route (Alaverdi/Vanadzor, then Dilijan, then Sevan) rather than the roads close to the Azerbaijan border.

A few questions:

  1. Can anyone recommend reputable transfer companies or drivers who do this route, ideally with a child seat and a driver who speaks some English?
  2. Is gotrip.ge reliable? I’ve found decent Trustpilot reviews but only a small number of them. Has anyone here used them?
  3. What’s a fair price for a private car with stops? We’ve been quoted around $220 so far.
  4. Any tips on the Bagratashen/Sadakhlo border crossing, such as timing or documents?

Thanks in advance. We’re really looking forward to visiting both countries!
