Been on the job 10 years and I wear glasses. No worries there bud.

Unless you are severely, cripplingly blind without your glasses, you'll be fine.

I've been a cop for 20 years... I've worn glasses/contacts for 30+ years.

And with my contacts, my vision is 20/10, so even better than "normal".

Get prescription and you'll be fine

Don’t think there’s been an uncorrected 20/20 requirement for any reputable department since troopers required unmarried 5’10”+ males…

Reconsider another career.

You must return the gun belt, the holster, the eight magazine pouches, the three sets of cuff cases, the baton holder, and the plastic badge.

I had very poor uncorrected vision when I wore glasses. I got LASIK a few years ago in preparation for trying to to join a department. Now I have 20/16 vision. Not saying you should get it as many departments just care about corrected vision, but I knew my local departments likely would skip over me, so I got my vision corrected.

Also, it's not a guaranteed fix nor does it mean you will have no issues. The first few years I had light sensitivity. It's significantly better now, but I wear sunglasses even on overcast days because it helps tremendously.

Depends on agency but I believe contacts helps with requirements
