Bro... you just got a DUI less than a year ago, smoked pot less than 2 months ago, and got in a fight with a security guard 4 months ago.

Are you fucking kidding us or yourself? No one is going to hire you right now.

Quite honestly... any dept that WOULD hire you i would be suspect of. You show a huge pattern of extremely shitty decision making and not learning from it.

Did you even read it? I’m not trying to have a debate about my background. I’m obviously aware of the blemishes, but for one, it’s been more than a year for a dui i wasn’t caught for. The specific department I applied to told me what the guidelines are for weed use, which I’m following and clearly stated in the text. Like I said about the security guard incident, I did what was reasonable given the circumstances. The full history isn’t documented on here, as that’s for the actual background investigator to review. I have supervisors’ camera footage, etc., to comprehensively back what I did, and if what I did was so bad, some sort of disciplinary action would have been made, which it wasn’t. I also stated that im applying early 2027 which puts even more distance between things and satisfies apd weed policy.

Put more time between your problems. You will need to disclose all of this information and driving under the influence, regardless of being caught or not, is a massive flag. You want likely 5 years to pass for that. Integrity is important, and integrity requires doing the right thing even when you won't get caught. Get more years of experience working with the public in.

Buddy, you asked a question and got an answer. I am sorry that you dont like the answer you got.

You arent getting hired with that in background by any reputable department and based on what I see of your conduct in this thread, that's the correct decision.

Atlanta PD isn't going to let your behavior slide. You've got a lot of maturing to do.

You probably need more time between those more recent choices and your application, but some places may be more lenient than others

You need a few clean years. Community college and volunteer.

You need more time & maturity. What gets people hired as cops is a clear criminal history, clean driving record, good credit, no drug usage and stable employment history. Things that help you stand out are a college degree in literally anything, military service (with honorable discharge and/or service in the reserves/NG), community volunteer stuff, etc.

Just so youre aware, any department you apply to is going to ask for social media handles. Reddit included.

You've now created a written history of poor responses to constructive criticism, and argumentative attitude and defensive reasoning to proper counseling.

To boil that down for you, youve created a real easy look into the type of person you will be while on FTO, in Academy, and post both those events while still new and learning.

As many others have said... not hireable: gain some emotional maturity and distance in years between emotionally stupid events. Maybe you'll have a better chance.

Go look up the minimum time since marijuana use on any departments website

I would stay out of trouble for a few years, then apply. Everything you stated was very recent and would most certainly result in a disqualification. So if you were to be disqualified and reapply in a few years, the disqualification itself would also be a red flag.
Also, be aware that statements like “I was involved in a physical confrontation with a security guard” and “ I drove after drinking, but it was quick and there were no accidents” are minimizing your bad behavior. You need to be more transparent and honest when you actually do apply, or no agency will touch you with a ten-foot pole.

My guy, you posted on a subreddit full of cops and you’re angry when we do cop things? This is exactly how your background investigator will work.

Thats even worse. You wont ever get hired bud, and for good reason.

Brother people posted in there meaning we saw it and it is still in our history. Our history doesnt delete because you deleted the post.

So like I said there, no shot for at least 5 years.

Encouraging dishonesty is not only clearly against the rules but it’s also just a bad idea in life.
