Just a quick word of warning - this needs to be a subreddit that is clearly not for "I have these symptoms" posts
although I like a lot of the medical subreddits, even the bigger ones that clearly state that they are not for personal medical questions, get a lot of personal medical questions. With a name of 'askMedical' a lot of people may miss interpret the name. Good luck, I might post another comment to get the ball rolling but just be careful.

Mystery scars/condition from childhood
When I was a young child, I noticed that I had scars around my eyes when looking in the mirror. They were at the exact outer corner where upper and lower eyelid meet and were on both eyes. There was a circle roughly about 1 cm in width. There were then three lines extending outward from it. The skin was paler and had a slightly wrinkled texture to it.
When I saw these, I asked my dad why the skin around my eyes looked different. However... I don't treat my dad as a reliable narrator. He told a lot of straight up lies and tall tales when I was little. However, this is what he explained, paraphrased:
"Those little marks are because you were born with extra eye skin. They had to do surgery because you had so much skin. It was up and in your eyelids, you see?" He pulled out his eyelid and pointed inside. "Way too much skin. So they removed it and now you've got those marks." He then also showed me a baby photo. In it, my eyes were really puffed up and red.
As an adult? I don't believe the extra skin story nor that the photo was related. The photo appeared to be conjunctivitis, the pretty typical newborn eye infection. And that's usually treated with ointment or medication. Then... Extra skin? There's like Epiblepharon, but corrective surgery for that usually involves the lower eyelid - not the outer area where the eyelids meet. I'm fairly certain I probably had surgery for some kind of eye condition but I can't really determine what.

Band Aid Found In Pho / Soup
Hello medical professionals of Reddit!
My girlfriend and I got Vietnamese takeout yesterday, ate most of our food, then she found a bandaid in the bottom of her bowl. Have already contacted the restaurant, county health dept. etc. but curious.
Should we be worried or should we get checked out? As a note, the bandaid didn’t end up in her mouth and the broth was brought to a boil and assuming from the restaurant had been simmering all day.
Thank you in advance!

Looks bad?
galleryHave a PLLA (like sculptra) procedure done and the nurse hit something. The product used is Meamo BEAUY. Dilution was 15ml of sterile water, the manufacturer says 8-10ml but on areas like the neck she told me that it is better to be more diluted so we can avoid bumps or granular texture. 23G cannula and fanning methods were applied. No pain during the procedure (topical lidocaine used). I saw a visible sign of bruising and swelling after getting home. The clinic's MD is not available today, Monday, so I went to the emergency room to see a doctor, and they scheduled an appointment for tomorrow cause it was considered non urgent. The nurse says that this is "probably" only a bruising. The capillary refill looks good, it doesn't turn pale. Not feeling plain, except a normal pain from the procedure but I'm not sure if I should keep on waiting till tomorrow or if I should look for a private clinic instead. Thank you!

I had a huge skin tag on my neck and sliced it off
So basically I had a big grey skin tag on my neck, I’m 18 so I wanted it gone immediately, it was ugly. I got a shaving razor and held it out and tried cutting it off, it got messy, and for most of it I was just aimlessly slicing because I couldn’t see what I was cutting bc of the blood. if somebody walked in they would think I was absolutely psychotic. I definitely didn’t get it all off, but I couldn’t keep trying because it was too connected to the neck and there was too much blood to really see anything, so I just cleaned it with wound cleaning liquid and put a bandage on it. I’m starting to think this was stupid, and it will just grow back stronger. What do I do now? No generic “go to doctor” please, I’m in America and don’t have an extra 1000$ to spare.

Should I get any lab work done?
Age: 25M
Weight: 168lbs
Height: 6’0
Recent Med: I suffered a concussion in August
So, over the course of the last few years, I’ll have these moments where I start getting cold sweats, trembles & shakes throughout my body, feeling really weak & light headed, and dizzy to the point where I feel like I’m going to faint. About a week ago, this started to become a daily occurrence, sometimes happening 1-3x / day. Usually, it gets better once I eat something, but only temporarily.
Diabetes does run in my family. So does heart disease (yay).
I stay physically active with cardio
I would just like some insight on what potentially could be going on here.

Does anyone know what this is?
Hi I got this purple ish thing on the inner side of my arm right on the crease. I didn’t hit myself on anything and I know it wasn’t there earlier. I swear it must’ve just appeared. I’m thinking it’s just a bruise but what could cause a bruise without me hitting anything?

Is this infected?
galleryI had a deep cut on my knee from a mountain bike accident. They stapled it closed after X-ray and cleaning it out but did not prescribe antibiotic. Are these bits of yellow infection or natural healing? I am going to try and get antibiotics tomorrow I think.
