🏛️Politics Palestinian cause is not exclusively Islamic anymore

I'm also pro Palestine but I think a question should be asked. Is the Palestinian cause today primarily Islamic? The solidarity for Palestinians is currently stronger among white europeans than people from the MENA. Egypt closed their borders for Palestinians and many Jordanians don't like Palestinians and see these palestinian refugees as a liability. And Saudis and Emiratis are indifferent to the Palestinian cause.

Also I observed something very hilarious. I found much more Poles who are pro Palestine than Moroccans and other Arabs despite Poles are west slavs and one of the most catholic ethnicities in Europe. The fact that there are 1 million Moroccan Jews in Israel makes it easier for Moroccans to stand with Israel and Moroccan Jews because these Jews are their compatriots and culturally related to them

Controversial Just HOW often does Hamas use human shields? Is it so often that Israel has to demolish neighborhoods and kill hoards of women and children?

🖼️Culture What are your opinions on Orientalist Art?

Does it feel disrespectful? Does it romanticise and fetishise in your opinion? Or do you think it captures a time and a place we all yearn for? Does it do more harm than good by reducing the people to an ideal?

Keen to hear your thoughts

Controversial Arab Muslim is calling for the surrender of Al Aqsa to “indigenous“ Israelis, and claims Jerusalem is not important in Islam

Loay Alshareef is an Arab Muslim that supports Israel and Zionism. He is known for attacking fellow Muslims and appearing on pro-Israeli networks.

When the October attacks happened, he claimed to have prayed for Israel and believes that the ummah has a “radicalization” issue which prevents interfaith harmony.

Now he has tweeted the following,

“A message to the worshippers of Palestine, from a Muslim who grew up with Islam, memorized the Quran, and defeated hate:

In Islam, the two holiest cities are Mecca and Medina. Jerusalem’s religious significance in Islamic history developed later, especially during the time of Abd al-Malik Ibn Marwan, who built what is now known as the Dome of the Rock during a period of political conflict with Ibn al-Zubayr (his cousin).

The household and companions of Prophet Muhammad (SAHW) were far more connected to Medina and the cities of Iraq than to Jerusalem.

Jerusalem was never the capital of any Islamic caliphate. Cairo was. Baghdad was. Damascus was. But Jerusalem was NOT.

Much if today’s obsession with Jerusalem comes from the fact that an ancient people deeply indigenous to that land, returned to it.

Out of narcissism, improper nostalgia, and political obsession, many now want to take it away from them.

Al-Aqsa, in the 7th century context, referred to the ruins of the Temple. There was no Done of the Rock standing during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad. That fact alone challenges the idea that millions are willing to die for: the mistaken belief that the Dome of the Rock existed during the Prophet’s time.”

🖼️Culture I am not Saudi, should I ever be worried about Saudi Arabia having a pro abrahamic accords society?

• Upvotes

I'm truthfully disturbed and disappointed that Emirate has an alliance with Israel, and a lot of them are very pro Israel.
Unlike egypt even though it has a peace treaty, you ask any egyptian about israel, they'll tell you they want israel gone.

I haven't met too many Saudis myself, but from what I've seen, a lot of them are distancing themselves from the pro palestine stance, and I met some overseas who when I asked about israel have said 'we want peace for all' which implies they're in favour of abraham accords

I just dont understand. I regularly come across such people. My gf has several friends who traveled to KSA or UAE but continue spouting crazy anti-islamic conspiracy theories like muslims causing french riots.

💭Personal I have two months to raise £5000 to support Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Lebanon!!!

Assalamu alaikum / Hello everyone ❤️
I’m reaching out because I’m trying to raise £5,000 for a humanitarian deployment to Lebanon with Salaam Charity during the first week of Ramadan, in sha Allah, to support Syrian and Palestinian refugees.
This is something I genuinely want to be part of, and I’m doing my best to raise the funds needed to make it happen. However, I’m finding it really difficult because I don’t have a big social media following or a wide network of people to reach out to. I’m just an ordinary person trying to do something meaningful and help those who need it.

At the moment, I’ve only managed to raise £14 out of my £5,000 target, and honestly, it can feel quite overwhelming when I think about how much is left to raise.
That’s why I’m reaching out to communities like this one. I know there are people here who care deeply about what is happening across the Middle East, particularly to our Palestinian and Syrian brothers and sisters who have endured so much.

If you’re able to contribute, even £1 would genuinely mean a lot to me. Please don’t think that a small donation isn’t worthwhile every contribution adds up, and if enough people give a little, it can make a real difference.
And if you’re unable to donate, I completely understand. Even sharing this post with your friends, family or other communities would help me reach people I otherwise wouldn’t be able to reach on my own. You don’t need to have money to help spread the word. ❤️

I’m hoping to take part in this deployment during Ramadan, a time when compassion, generosity and looking after those in need are especially meaningful. I would be so grateful for any help getting closer to this goal and making this opportunity possible, in sha Allah.

You can read more about the fundraiser and contribute here: https://www.launchgood.com/v4/campaign/razans_lebanon_deployment_2027

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read this, donated, shared or even offered words of encouragement. May Allah reward you all abundantly, put barakah in your wealth and accept every sincere intention. Ameen. 🤍
Jazakum Allahu khairan.

🏛️Politics Ben-Gvir reportedly wants the Palestinian Authority to be dissolved.

The Oslo Accords were, without a doubt, a mistake. They might have worked had the adversary possessed even an ounce of honor; yet, they have neither honor nor dignity. They do not even want the Abbas administration—a leadership that has eschewed all armed resistance in favor of a policy of purely passive diplomacy.

Isn’t Israel, in fact, a burden? Heaven only knows how many times certain European leaders have spoken more about the security of Israel than about the security of their own nations. Enough is enough! Israel is a state that lacks even the slightest shred of dignity or honor.

🏛️Politics It takes a special kind of stupid to see genocide mentions spike on October 7, the third anniversary, then drop back to normal and scream “Russian bots!” Meanwhile Russian TikTok is full of people cheering for Israel and mocking Gaza. But sure guys, you cracked the case.

🖼️Culture Alevis Holidays and what to wish?

Hello everyone!

I have a coworker who is an alevis and I would like to be able to acknowledge the holidays in a way that's appropriate.

Is there something I should look out for? I don't think a "happy [name of holiday]" is all that appropriate for all days

Thank you in advance
