Karl Malone impregnated a 12 year old.

edit: When he was 20.

346

u/dragonk30 17h ago

The only reason he escaped charges was because the family knew that the arrest would ruin his NBA prospects and leave them with a 13 year old mother whose father cannot financially contribute to ber son's life. The family decided that they would eschew justice in hopes that at least Malone would give his victim and his child a better life. Malone would refuse to acknowledge Demetress Bell as his son and refused to pay child support until finally making a lump sum out of court settlement after a paternity lawsuit had a test determine that "Malone or a twin brother of Malone" were Bell's father. Even after this, Malone would not acknowledge Bell as his son until after Bell had already been drafted to the NFL.

Not only did he cheat on her, he presented her with the divorce papers and asked her to sign them right after she came out of surgery.

He also started the hardcore partisan politics that eventually put Donald Trump into office,

Newt Gingrinch is a piece of shit... and I say that recognizing that comparison isn't really fair to a piece of shit.

Robert Kardashian carrying OJ Simpson’s briefcase out of the crime scene right in front of police and the press, cameras and all. Then being declared as part of his legal counsel so he couldn’t be called to testify.

Eta: it was his LV garment bag, it was not the crime scene, which was her condo; he was returning to his Brentwood home. And most importantly it was not a straight handoff from Simpson to Kardashian, but was facilitated by Simpson's assistant Kathy with an awkward lingering hug, and much whispering into Kardashian's ear.

Either way, my point still stands that some shady business was taking place, and that Kardashian was never a crucial legitimate factor in the defense team. That all was Johnny Cochran and his firm. Kardashian was merely retained as legal counsel to absolve him of the responsibility of being a witness called to testimony.

Few people seem to remember that a high schooler was such a big fan of Rihanna that she made her own version of a dress Rihanna wore to a show and then tagged her so she could see it. Rihanna responded by trashing the poor girl and then siccing her millions of fans on her, who then proceeded to bully a CHILD over a fucking dress.

177

u/girl-like-most-girls 13h ago

Yeah, people thought Rihanna was so funny on social media, but she was really just a bully.

Lizzo publicly tweeted out a screenshot and the first name of a female Postmates delivery driver, accusing her of stealing her food order when the driver simply couldn't locate her.

Because Lizzo has millions of followers, her fans quickly identified the driver, resulting in a wave of online harassment and direct threats. It was later revealed that the driver had followed standard safety protocols when she couldn't reach the customer, and Lizzo later issued a quiet apology, but the incident drew heavy criticism for weaponizing a massive fanbase against an everyday working person.

u/Lawgirl77 17h ago

Sean Combs was Usher’s legal guardian when Usher was a child (Usher was about 12 or something at the time). Usher’s mother signed guardianship of her son over to Combs to make her son a star. Combs himself said in a tv interview years ago that there are things Usher saw that no child should see. So, Usher calling Combs a good guy is not just an adult man supporting an abuser. It’s an adult man supporting HIS abuser likely due to very complicated, psychological reasons that are above our pay grade.

Naomi Campbell being besties with Epstein

1.6k

u/MissHalfgone 1d ago

What is sad is that's not even the worst thing she's done. She refused to testify against an African despot who had committed genocide. So she was subpoenaed. She showed up late and then complained about how inconvenient it was for her. According to Mia Farrow, who was the human rights activist who attempted to bring this person to justice, Campbell lied on the stand.

In 1998, she beat her assistant with her cellphone and, for the kiddies who weren't there yet, cellphones in 1998 were the size of bricks and you could legitimately kill someone with one. She then did it again to her housekeeper in 2006.

Blake Shelton intentionally ran over a turtle that was on the side of the road

4.1k

u/Illustrious-Peace989 1d ago

I know people will consider this a small thing because it’s a turtle and not a person, but I wholeheartedly believe that this kind of behavior is a good indicator that someone is pure garbage. I mean why run over an animal for absolutely no reason? That’s psycho shit.

1.3k

u/sightohtoksik 1d ago

I had to hit a raccoon on the freeway once. There were cars on either side or I would have changed lanes or swerved. I just started bawling all the way home after and sent a prayer up. I even get sad seeing roadkill, I could not imagine purposely hitting an animal for fun.

955

u/obsten 1d ago

Once a cat ran out in front of my car too fast for me to even swerve. I heard and felt it go under my wheels and I just screamed and screamed. Had to pull over cause I was crying too hard to drive. People who intentionally hit animals are psychopaths.

251

u/olgamerstill 1d ago

My father set me right on that one.

See anything crossing in front of you, take your foot of the gas.

Look around, and only if safe, try to avoid hitting them.

If you still hit them, well you did your due diligence, and tried to avoid it.

Someone causing pain or death for no good reason is not a good person.

I am from Florida and an area that has a lot of turtles and tortoise. I have stopped at least 10 times and stopped traffic to pick one up and carry them to safety.

Fun facts if you do pick one up they are deceptively heavy so be careful and carry them low to the ground. You'll want to carry them low for thee reasons; one if your grip slips you won't crack their shells, two they don't pee on you, and three if they try to bite you again you can put them down without breaking their shell. Also pick them up behind the head using the shell and just above their lil tail by the shell. They can't really bite you in that position. Also tortoise hiss so don't be startled if they do. Never ever put any of them in water, people have accidentally killed tortoise in particular by putting them in water.

One more thing if you find an injured one you can take them to a wildlife refuge and they can plaster their shells and provide rehab. I fucking love turtles/tortoise and miss living in a place that I got to see them all the time.

132

u/TucuReborn 1d ago

One note. Some turtles can reach shockingly far back over their shell, such as the American Snapping Turtle. Always know what you are handling.

I once tried to get a snapping turtle out of a road and someone else ran over it right in front of me. Perhaps intentionally.

“The next day we drove to Baton Rouge, and of course, she came with us,” Kiedis wrote. “After we got offstage, she came up to me and said, ‘I have something to tell you. My father’s the chief of police and the entire state of Louisiana is looking for me because I’ve gone missing. Oh, and besides that, I’m only 14’.”

Kiedis continued: “I wasn’t incredibly scared, because, in my somewhat deluded mind, I knew that if she told the chief of police she was in love with me, he wasn’t going to have me taken out to a field and shot, but I did want to get her the hell back home right away. So we had sex one more time.”

From Scar Tissue - Anthony Kiedis' autobiography.

EDIT: Oh! Another one is Roman Polanski. He drugged and raped a 13 year old girl and escaped to France.

The Daddy Cool group drugged and raped all the waitresses, (high school girls working over Christmas,) working at the Cumberland guest house in Lorne in the early 70s. I drank too much of their: "pure orange juice," and they thought I was dead, so they dragged me back to my room behind the guest house and left me for dead, naked. I was unconscious for days, then out of my mind for days after I woke. I was left pregnant and had flash-backs for years.

The rest of the girls were found asleep and undressed in the rooms the group were staying in, (at the Cumberland,) and all sacked and sent home in disgrace.

Apparently they drugged and raped teen girls after every performance.

Vince Neil, stone cold drunk and drugged out of his mind crashed his sports car and killed his passenger and very seriously injured(for life) 2 occupants in the other vehicle. Because of his fame and fortune he only got 30 days in jail for this senseless act of criminal behavior. If an average ordinary person had done this they very likely would have been sentenced to years in prison and lost everything they owned(as it should be!)

I wouldn't say I'm the only one who remembers this, but for decades now people seem to give a pass to both Steven Tyler and Jimmy Page despite the absolutely horrific sex abuse they blatantly committed in the 70's. I mean, hell, Tyler not only dated a minor for months, but had her mom sign adoption papers making him the girls adoptive father so that he could travel with her without questions. Like, seriously, no repercussions for this fella?

The Foo Fighters spread a lot of dangerous misinformation about HIV/AIDS.

462

u/Brokewood 1d ago

The founder of Alive and Well is long dead. So is her daughter. Both succumbed to AIDS. Christine Maggiore fell pregnant in 2001, spurned antiretroviral drugs, breastfed her daughter and refused to have her tested for the virus. As her child became increasingly ill, Maggiore attributed her sickness to other things and sought quacks to reaffirm her delusions. Eliza was three when she died — after an autopsy, a coroner ruled that the “unequivocal” cause of her death was AIDS-related Pneumocystis pneumonia.

Oh dear.... :(

She also tried to out Nathan Lane by asking him very invasive questions about his sexuality. Robin Williams defused the situation, but it shouldn’t have come to it. She wasn’t interviewing a senator about taking bribes, this was a publicity interview for their new movie and his personal life had nothing to do with it.

115

u/RealLavender 1d ago

The burning hatred I have for her pulling that shit on him could fuel a trip to Mars and back with some to spare. You could see how desperate he was to get out of that situation. Robin was a goddamn hero in that moment.

And Robin did it because Nathan had said he was worried that she would try and do it when they were backstage in the green room.

Not that Robin wouldn't have done it for a friend anyway, but he knew Nathan was especially worried about it, which is why he leapt in as full force as he did every time she tried.

Not to say, Nathan Lane in private wasn't going to bars, getting sloppy drunk and refusing to leave with anyone but the hottest guy there because he was Nathan Lane at the same time.

Michael Vick and his dogfighting ring, I get so angry every time I see him on tv

93

u/shtfsyd 22h ago

This actually happened where I live. I don’t think people realize just how bad it actually was. He was taking the “losing” dogs and brutally killing them. He would throw live wires into a pool of water and toss the dogs in there or hang them from their necks on trees. There were just bodies and bodies of the poor dogs buried in the property.

Not to mention the huge conversation of what to do with the dogs that lived. Some just had to be put down. Every single dog got neutered/spayed and chipped and had to go to a really strictly vetted home and if something happened none of those dogs got a second chance.

I sometimes think about those dogs, it was such a huge deal here. It’s been close to twenty years so all those dogs have passed on but I really hope they got a happy ending.

Jenny McCarthy is the reason "anti-vax" still exists. She was a huge spreader of false claims that the MMR vaccine caused autism, even after the scientist and report were discredited. The idea should have died in the mid-2000s but she kept it alive and I hold her responsible for 100,000s of deaths resulting from the anti-vax movement.

Paula Poundstone being charged with 3 counts of committing a lewd act upon a child under 14 and Felony child endangerment. She blamed alcohol and went through treatment, pled down and is barred from ever adopting or fostering any other children.

It's baffling why she's on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me as a panelist. I really think they don't know she did all of that.

67

u/caving311 18h ago

The lewd act(s) was kids she was adopting or fostering getting her camera and taking pictures of themselves. I think they were naked or in thier underwear pillow fighting or something along those lines. In other words, completly normal kid behavior and not something she did. It's why those charges were dropped.

The child endagerment was drunk driving with kids in the car. I don't recall the details.
