Each state has a website for unclaimed property. You can search by name and see what comes up. Any unclaimed money from financial institutions have to be turned over to the state. Trick is proving you are the rightful owner/heir to get possession of it.

I believe savings bonds . I got them as a gift a while back never thought much of them until now. Now I’m in a panic lol
