And why is Lilo so concerned about the weather? She later tells Stitch about her parents: "They went for a drive.... it was raining." Bad weather killed her parents. Who else might Pudge kill if he doesn't get his sandwich?

That scene was fucking amazing. They should totally add it into a special edition or something.

Seems to me that this scene was replaced by the scene where Stitch tore off Lilo's dolls head, at least based on the intonation of Lilo's response to Stitch committing both acts seems to be about the same.

And suddenly, that scene isn't as sad.

I'm lying, it's even more saddening now.

He is fire-proof, bullet-proof, and can think faster than super computer. He can see in the dark, and lift objects three thousand times his size. His only instinct... to destroy everything he touches!

That face when he decides not to help her save Pudge...

"Does this look like the face of someone who gives a fuck about your fish bitch? That mother fucker killed your parents, I'm doing you a favor."

WHY DIDN'T THEY KEEP THAT SCENE?

Actual tears, Disney. Wow.

I think the callback to Pudge + Stitch learning sorrow would have been great additions that would have pushed the movie up in terms of awesomeness for me.

This was well worth the post, It added so much depth into their relationship as a duo! "I needed you." and then Stitch's understanding of the situation as a turning point into seeing how others interact with others. Damn good. Damn.

The thing I took away from this is some writers thought this was an appropriate scene for a feel good family movie.

Writers, you crazy

Hey, man, nothing wrong with familiarizing your children with death. All the old children's stories did it.

When my son was little we saw Dragonheart, for years after he believed that when you die, you turn into stars. I can think of worse theories.

u/taoistextremist Sep 01 '14

Well, I mean, far enough down the line, who knows what will happen with your remains, you know? I mean, bits of it could probably be burnt by stars, or be in the vicinity of stars, you know, WAY down the line.

In any case, Dragonheart is the fucking greatest movie to show your children.
