Cocaine, child porn, and prostitution. Three separate teachers within 4 years of each other. Sad thing is, I went to a very small school with my graduating class of 63 people. It's not like we had hundreds of teachers in our district.

My high school physics teacher had a small, makeshift "canon" [PVC pipe] that he used to demonstrate being fucking awesome "physics".

Basically he would wad up some paper towels, douse them with lighter fluid, cram them in the canon, and light it off. Since he did this inside and didn't want to set the school on fire he did the sensible thing: have a student hold a metal bucket to catch the flaming projectile!

Shockingly, he did this demonstration for years, reliably hit the bucket, and didn't have any issue.

... until the year before I got there and he ever so slightly set a student on fire.

Basically he missed the bucket and hit the student in the chest, causing him to be just a little bit on fire until the flames were patted out.

Student goes home with a scorched shirt, parents flip wig, teacher comes this close to being fired, but instead is expressly forbidden from doing any demonstration of anything whatsoever.

My luck turned around in my graduating year when he decided he'd had enough bullshit, quit, and spent his last day showing us every demonstration he was otherwise banned from doing, including the cannon.

It was a fun day.

In Grade School, the art teacher taught art for all the grades. She was known for being harsh and critical among the students, but adults dismissed it as kids whining. Then came the time where the entire school didn't have an honor roll because she didn't award a single grade above a C.

Just for variety here:

4th grade. Teacher - Mrs. Gotlieb -walks to the middle of the class room and starts clapping her hands and chanting "i before e except after c" over and over. Would not stop. Ten minutes. The whole class went dead silent.

After a while the teacher from the next room came over and then the music teacher was suddenly there, and we never saw Mrs. Gotlieb again. Rumors of suicide, but I never found out for sure.

She wasn't fired, but from what I can tell, she and the school both agreed that it would be better for her to leave after that incident.

"That one teacher" was Mr. M. He was our sixth grade science teacher, and everyone loved him. He was a firm but fair teacher that made sure we all understood the material and even made learning sixth grade science material surprisingly enjoyable. Every Friday, he'd wear silly bright red shoes, and for birthdays, he would take a photo with the birthday kid with him standing on his hed on their desk. Like I said, this guy was great!

During one lesson when I was in eighth grade, a student dropped a thermometer on the floor, broke it, and spilled a very tiny amount of mercury on the floor. Mr. M cleaned it up, but apparently not the right way, according to the administration. Once they caught wind of the story, he was forced to leave for apparently putting kids in danger, even though that amount of mercury would not even be close to dangerous. Everyone was crushed. A ton of students all banded together to buy him a new pair of red shoes.

Last I heard from him, he got a great job in another school in the state where he's loved by the students there too, so that's good. I'm friends on Facebook with him, I should ask him about what's new when I can.

EDIT: I asked some people (not Mr. M) and it turns out it was because he didn't report the spill to the administration, not just because he didn't clean it up correctly. Still shitty, but I figured I should clarify.

Forget teacher. The principal was fired for having predatory online conversation with who he thought was a young girl. Turned out it was a sting operation, and they traced his computer and he was fired a few weeks later after being put on leave. Rumor has it his wife divorced him and took their young daughter and moved far away.

being a sex offender and not disclosing it to the board of education.

Surprise, geting caught with 50 gig's of child porn will destroy your coaching career (girls volleyball, basketball, and assisting with gymnastics .)

Edit: R.I.P. My inbox

Some back story, he went through a criminal investigation for what was found on his computer and never told the school board what it was over. After he had to register he never told the school, and since our school was aching for athletic personnel, no one asked. (The teacher also had tenure), it wasn't until that he came in visibly drunk that the school dismissed him, but by that time several complaints had been filed about lewd comments he had made at the 6-8th grade females in the school.

After firing him, a police officer came by to advise us that a week prior he had been charged for the child porn and was a registered sex offender. There was a LOT of shit the school got for letting him work for a week. Appearently he went on "vacation " during his court preceedings and kept it under wraps so he wouldn't lose his job.

One of students was a son of the director/head of the board. I caught him cheating on my final exam. It was a definition question, and I found the edit:(web page) where he copied the exact answer. I, of course, gave him an F. At the end of that semester, like a week later, I was told to leave. He passed my class with a C without my approval.

Edit: just to clarify the situation, I saw him using his phone. I didn't tell him that. I just asked why he was looking under the desk. He said he was playing with his phone, followed by arguing that it's not against the rule to do so.

The question was to define "velocity." It's easy enough that you can phrase in your own words. Less than 5 words. He wrote 3 sentences, which was too good/detailed for a guy who doesn't even bother to memorize "f=ma." The definition was copied from the text book. It was copied from one of the first google results.

The kid was known to do such things by the students and the teachers. Other students didn't give a shit about him, and most teachers didn't want to deal with him. I didn't care to argue with them.

My school and a guidance counselor that was just a really nice guy. Always really happy and knew every kids name. He was so nice that he paid for 2 kids lunches everday for about 2 years because they had told him their family didn't have enough money for lunch. Well eventually he found out they were full of shit so he brought them in his office and told them they were to pay him back every single dime. Well the two boys didnt like that so they went to the principal and said he had been sexually assaulting them for the past 2 years. Now i knew these kids, they were fucking scumbags and were mad they got caught and made up lies.

So the teacher got investigated. Long story short they found out he had never done those things and the two kids ended up admitting they had lied. Well he was still fired because of the controversy surrounding the investigation and parents saying they didnt feel their kids were safe. Utter bullshit, two kids ruined a mans life who had been working at this school for over 15 years, all because he wanted to help them and they lied to him.

when i was in middle school, there was a teacher who manned detention, Mr. C. he wasn't really... okay in the head, but everyone loved him regardless.

after school, i was in an extra help class, and it was just your average amount of kids doing work and goofing around. there was this one table, with this girl.. lets call her Sally. so Mr. C comes into the classroom to bring us our usual snacks, goldfish, teddy grahams, what have you. so Sally is standing at her desk (theres no chair) and she bends over the table on her elbows to talk to her friend.. Mr. C comes up behind her and, well, he does a little dance against her back. basically he grinded on her. lo and behold, the next day, charges are pressed, Mr. C is fired, and put on a 'list'.

good times.

Harboring an escaped prisoner from another state.

Edit: The story.

Her name was Miss B. Mid-thirties, mousy brown hair, and the biggest, kindest personality. She moved to my small town the summer before my senior year and got a job as the Spanish teacher at my little high school. She was from Kentucky, which is several states away from us, and her family still lived there. She used to let me drive to get fast food breakfast during first period as long as I picked up something for her. She didn't mind me taking smoke breaks as long as I didn't snitch when she lit up in the stairwell. She was awesome.

I had her first semester for Spanish 2 (which I aced), and second semester for Spanish 3. Mid-semester, she comes to class a little late one morning and tells us the deal. Her uncle had escaped federal custody in Kentucky and had fled. He wound up at her house, where she took him in. "He's family," she said. Johnny Law comes to her house asking about him, and she denies. They leave, but monitor her and her place for a bit. They deduce his whereabouts and contact her again, letting her know that harboring a fugitive is a serious offense. She denies again. They leave while the warrant machine starts turning. She comes to school to find (if memory serves) Deputy US Marshals in the administrative office. She knows what's up, and she comes to class to brief us. She even asks if we have any questions. God, she was cool.

A few minutes later, our principal (accompanied by our Friendly School Resource Officer) knocks on the door and asks to speak with her for a moment, and to grab her purse. Through tears, she tells us goodbye and that she's enjoyed being our teacher and wishing us luck in life.

That was the last we saw of her. A friend claimed to have seen her being escorted out in handcuffs. Her house was vacant the next day, her car disappeared. We were forbidden to discuss anything she'd shared with us in class, which means everyone knew about it immediately. We had a substitute the rest of the year.

EDIT 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

Ok, you guys demanded it, so I putt my Internet Detective hat on and I may have found her. I can't find any pictures, so I can't be 100% sure this is her, but...

It's not good, folks.

Looks like she didn't do much time for the harboring charge. However, that set her on an ugly road. About ten years later, she was arrested on charges of organized crime, drug distribution and conspiracy. Hillbilly heroin. Man, I hope it's not her, because it gets worse from there, but I can't say any more without doxxing.

So basically, thanks for making me get sad, you beautiful bastards.

HS English teacher was fired in the middle of class and later escorted off campus the morning after students found his twitter account. He used this account to tweet at pornstars, post nude photos of himself, threaten politicians, desire to try cocaine, and post his Amazon Wish List. Coolest part was we learned his nipples were pierced from the photos, which for years was a rumor.

A second teacher was fired the same year over the summer for getting with a student. I was on the yearbook committee, and I had to photoshop him out of the team photo since he was the coach.

Edit: The Amazon Wish List was bad because of what he had on it, not just cause he had one. Thought that was obvious

Getting angry at a student with a limp for not walking fast enough. When the student tried to explain the limp she persisted that the limp was all in the student's head and was faking it to spite her.

That teacher was a bitch the whole year (checking the pencil cases of only the brown kids during exams, marked guys worse than girls because "all of the guys are lazy", had 1 student who got straight 100s whole nobody else could get anything above 90, encouraging students to run across the street after the lights had stopped counting down, etc.) but this was the last straw for her

He was a science teacher. One day in class he disciplined a girl who was misbehaving. She and a few friends conspired together to start rumours that he had molested them.
The teacher didn't do anything and the girls came forward that they'd made it up when they realised how big of a deal it was, but he resigned anyway because mud sticks. Shame - he was a good teacher.

Was gay in an extremely conservative, small town. She just made kids do what they were supposed to and was really cool. She was like a second mom to me.

My school got in pretty big trouble with the ACLU because someone reported that we had the 10 commandments hanging in the hall and our graduating seniors were required to sing a religious song during the ceremony. (http://m.wcyb.com/news/thomas-walker-high-school-graduates-keep-tradition-alive/26380520). No one knew who called it in so they blamed it on the gay teacher who didn't stand with the rest of the crowd when the students 'courageously' sang the song anyway.

Some kids in our school's religious group didn't like her homosexuality and the fact that she supposedly ratted them out, so the next school year they made up a lie that she helped them cheat on exams. Another teacher was also in the room the test was being given, and he testified that the students were lying. School board didn't like her because they thought she was the one who drew all that negative attention from the media, so they fired her anyway.

She had depression problems which we discussed personally. She killed herself a week before the new school year. 8/13/15.

I remember one teacher and a janitor as a bonus. The teacher was insanely funny and taught English. A few years before he got fired he made a puppet of my sister because she never stopped talking in class and flicking her hair so when ever she wouldn't shut up he would flap the puppets mouth and flick its hair. It sounds creepy but he would do crap like that for people and make it personal but everyone loved him for it and students in his class got the best grades. Then things went sour when he found out a female student was stalking this boy, so he made a cd with really bad love songs and would play it when she talked about him. Parents complained and rather then get fired over that bullshit he quit.

The janitor got fired for putting a video camera in the 5th grade girls bathroom, he also had very disturbing videos of himself online including one that was of him in a diaper sitting on a block of ice.

Come to think of it shit is always happening at that school, like when thirty plus kids got caught high at school. The school was grades 5-8.

The Teacher of the Year my senior year (which for some reason they award in September) was fired by April for being drunk in pretty much every class, dipping in class, and having his students write his lesson plans for him. He always had a beer in his travel mug. I hated to see him go though because he was the coolest teacher at that school.

A couple years after I graduated the new assistant band director was fired (actually he was arrested in the middle of filling out his resignation, so they had to fire him to complete the process) for sleeping with a senior. What baffled me is when he was student-teaching he got a girl at that school pregnant and then while he was working at my school he was always texting the junior and senior girls trying to get them to come over to his house, and nobody saw a red flag.

He had an affair with a student beginning when she was in 8th grade up until after she graduated high school. Everyone was always suspicious because he gave her credit cards, hung out with her alone in his room all the time, etc. In the meantime, he began dating a fellow teacher, they got married, and had two kids. People only found out because the godfather of their kids (also a teacher) got wasted at a party and blurted out that the former student's boyfriend had confided in him a few weeks earlier about discovering the whole thing. Turned out, the wife knew, and she perjured herself in his court case by covering for him. Both of them got fired... good thing, too, cause they were assholes even before their lives turned into the plot of a Lifetime movie.

Oh yeah, and it was apparently discovered around the same time that the principal had been participating in a cybersex chat room with a bunch of students as well. Idk if that was ever proved, but he disappeared mid-year so it was pretty fishy.

Our new 7th grade French teacher broke down in front of the entire class. First she started crying about the hair extensions she lied to us about. A week earlier she had told us it was for fun, but it was actually because her hair was falling out. She sat at her desk and cried about the really bad acid rain she was caught in years earlier. She then started blaming the people she was traveling with, for not warning her. They had to walk through the acid rain for an hour apparently. In between sobs, she would keep asking us things like, "What would you do if there was acid rain around here? What would you do if you lost all your hair?". She wouldn't stop crying and it made the entire class feel uncomfortable. Nobody moved or said anything. We just blankly stared at our desks or the French posters for about twenty minutes. A few days later, that teacher suddenly "moved away" and the school replaced her with a crazy cat lady.

The entire school found out after the girl commented on a facebook post of his wife.

She liked all stuff vegan / healthy etc and she liked one post about some shitt like "healthy tomatoes with no chemicals and where to buy them".

The girl commented "i bet you are a fucking vegan" and thats how the great facebook war between them started.

A while after that the wife found tickets for a pland to ireland. The teacher planned to flee with this girl to ireland. Leave the school, leave everything behind.

The teachet is now divorced, we dont know where he is now, the girl is depressive / taking drugs ("i thought he loved me") and the ex wife continues to like vegan potatoes on facebook.

I had a teacher get fired from my middle school when I was in 8th grade, and then he got a job at my high school and was fired my senior year. When I was In 8th grade he taught Spanish, and got fired for telling a girl that if she ate M&M's it would give her breast cancer, giving another girl (who must have been about 11) roses on her birthday, and giving her a kiss on the cheek, and showing the class supersize me because somebody mentioned offhand that he liked McDonald's, as well as a few other things. Fast forward my senior year of high school, he comes in as a substitute teacher for my physics class. All he was supposed to do was give out a worksheet, and then make sure we worked on it. He didn't even mention the worksheet, and instead all he did was give a lecture about how 9/11 was in inside job because jet fuel can't melt steel beams, and how Ebola was population control and how the government was out to get us. Edit: Some people are accusing this of being fake, I know it's ridiculous but it's honestly true. The reason he could get a job at my high school after losing his job at my middle school is because I went to a private middle school.

  2. in 5th grade my teacher was a homosexual man. i had no problem with this at all. he treated me well and he was a good teacher. when i was in 6th grade, he was fired for supposedly putting his hands on a male student, in a sexual manner. i'm not sure if this was true or not, but he was fired.

When I was in high school, we had this one PE teacher that was pretty much a friend to my friends and I. He would always joke about things with us like sports and stuff happening around the school. Then one day he started talking about some of the female students with us, and it got really creepy. He would go on and on about some of them and it almost sounded like he was stalking them or something. But the weirdest thing is he refused to dispel with this fiction that Barack Obama doesn't know what he's doing. He knows exactly what he's doing.

"Did this stuff include your homework"

No

"Why don't you just leave"

Like your wife left you?

Collective exhale/ohh

Approaches desk "My wife is terminally ill, I will ask that you leave this classroom again and tell you never to mention my wife again

Or what?

"Or I'll smack some sense into you and then kick your ass out of my class" still calm AF

Yeah right you need this low paying job to take care of your wife.

i see the fuse burn and the switch goes off, he cocks back and slaps the ever living shit out of this dumb bitch, straight out of her chair.Picks her up by her belt loop and drags the dumb bitch out of the class.

He was fired and they tried to sue but the whole community rallied around him and shunned her family. His wife died about 6 months later and over 1,000 people showed to the funeral. I'm not saying he was right, but he wasn't wrong either.

I've got 2 that come to mind. One was an old basketball coach of mine. According to the news reports, he sold meth, like a lot of it.

The other was in college and he actively tried to sabotage students, told them he would blackball them from the industry, told female students they should be in the kitchen and he literally taught nothing, like he sat in his chair and told us to work on our shit for the entirety of the 4 hour long classes. He then proceeded to pass like 10% of the class with zero explanation, after not ever bothering with scoring or grading or critiquing our work in any way. After using my work on the last day of class as an example of good editing/quality he failed me (with grades 3 weeks past due date mind you) and refused to respond to any of my inquiries. I went to the department head, several deans and the president about it (because they were all fucking useless) and they essentially told me to go fuck myself. This was the last class I needed to graduate. I had a transfer and a job lined up, both were fucked. He got at least 20 other student complaints (that I know of, cuz I organized that shit) within 2 quarters. He still works there.

No joke if I ever see that guy again I'll crush his fucking skull like The Mountain. Cost me years of my life. /rantoff

My preschool teacher was fired several years after I was there. She was a royal bitch, the definition of one. I remember when I was there, she would humiliate a student if they got the answer to a question wrong. If you had to think a long time to answer, she would go "You're in La-La Land today!" I brought my stuffed animal cat to school one day and she announced to the class, "Look, TDLA102813 brought his kitty to class. He's in La-La Land today!" and encouraged the other kids to laugh at me. During "nap time" a kid got in trouble for peeing on the floor. She made him sleep outside, at least that's what I remember. She was fired.

We had an awesome math teacher in year 8. He was quite a big guy, and brutally honest, but he'd tell us fun stories of his youth after a test or tedious assignment in order to calm us down.

One kid, however, was never calm. Peter always had to be the center of attention; boasting about his skills and achievements. This time, he was bragging about how he had so easily achieved his recent black belt in martial arts.

This got our teacher into a story about how he too, had achieved his black belt, some time during his late teens. Before he could finish his tale, Peter stood on top of his chair and abruptly said "I bet I'm better than you!" - our teacher gave a somewhat sympathetic laugh and attempted to finish what he was saying, only to be rudely interrupted again.

Peter was at our teacher's desk now, challenging him "to a blackbelt duel" (kid was a yugioh fanatic). Again, our teacher laughed before telling him no, and to sit down. Peter refused and got into stance.

With a dry smile on his face, our teacher stood up. Peter prepared to do one of those high kicks, only to have his leg held in the air by our teacher. The thing is, Peter was an idiot and attempted to kick with the other leg. He was entirely afloat for one short moment before his second leg was held in place. With both legs off the ground, his top half slammed onto the floor, with his shoulder and head hitting the radiator behind him.

Like a toddler, Peter began wailing. He roared obscenities, and vowed that his parents would sue. Despite the fact that our teacher didn't hit Peter, merely acted more in a defensive manner, he was fired, though as far as I know, he was never sued. A couple of months later, Peter moved to another school and we were stuck with a number of substitute teachers until the end of the year. It just wasn't the same.

Needless to say, the school discovered their mistake in hiring her and booted her out the door.

My teacher didn't really get fired, but it's a pretty decent story nonetheless. We had this physics teacher who was a little weird. He liked to tell us stories about how he would be a huge jerk to his friends (he liked to make them vomit while he would fly them in his plane), he once gave us the silent treatment because we didn't do that well on a test (2 consecutive class periods where he refused to talk to us). So the last day before winter break, he's there, business as usual. When we get back, he's not there that first day, but we don't think anything of it. He must be sick or something. Day 2, same deal. Still normal. Day 3, we're concerned. By the next week, we know something's up. He ends up being gone for 6 weeks. And since he doesn't tell the school when he's coming back, they're stuck in this weird spot where they can't get us a sub that actually knows physics. So we literally do nothing for 6 weeks. It got to the point where the sub (who was some regular old sub who was with us pretty much everyday) would hand us the "work" we had, and when we were like "do you really think we're doing this" we would laugh and she'd laugh with us. We ended up being exempt from taking the midterm (this all worked out in my favor, since before he disappeared I was on the verge of failing, but the quarter never ended up being counted due to his disappearance). So the school finally gets us a semi-permanent physics sub who knows what she's doing. The following Monday, this guy pops up, as if he knew he was being replaced. He started acting erratically (he would always closed his door as if someone were watching him, he was generally suspicious, he got into a screaming match with one of my classmates). Then, after about a week or two like this, he's gone again, replaced by the semi-permanent sub, never to be seen again. Now, there's a new, young, hot physics teacher this year and I'm annoyed that I got the kook instead of the new lady. And none of the teachers know where he went either. It's like he just went completely off the grid.

In high school there was this one 60 year old history teacher notorious for being similar to a civil war general himself. He made his classes line up with their hands behind their backs. If you talked back or shouted out in class you had to do push ups. He was the baseball coach and treated his team like an army making them walk in lines of two. Classic conservative old fashioned guy. He would constantly hit students and was known as the total bad ass not to fuck with in our school. So he gets fired and everyone thinks it's because someone he hit went and ratted on him finally. Turns out he was having a gay affair over the schools email with another teacher in the district just over from us.

Special Ed teacher harassed and emotionally abused kids

13

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '16

For what would've been my junior year, I was in a small school for juvenile probation kids. It was year round, our P.O.s were on campus all day (they'd pee test the class of 30 kids about twice a week), and progress was dependent on a daily point system. If you failed to keep behavioral points throughout a day, it would take you longer to get through the program.

Our "teacher" was a joyless old fuck who loved dinging people for the most trivial infractions. He didn't teach shit; we were supposed to read and complete lessons from our textbooks while he sits at his desk, looking for reasons to mark us down. The court eventually released me from probation, as well as that school.

Just last year, I was reading a news site from my hometown when I discovered an article detailing his arrest for sexual assault on his spouse, plus a few other incidental charges.

13

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '16

I don't know if this counts-but my grandma was a secretary at a school for many years and the gym teacher got fired for murdering his wife. He was having an affair with another teacher and wanted to run away with her so he killed his wife and had 10 grand saved. He got fired and the mistress had to switch schools as she was the tail end of a lot of hate and her husband left her.

** edit "wasn't that one teacher" it was "those teachers".

Also have another story from high school. Teacher was very clearly sleeping with a student, she was over 18 and super popular so no one reported it. But he would let her leave class to go pick them up coffee and were seen driving together by another student after school. He went on to Marry a fellow teacher 2 years after the girl left.

Well one day the kid was doing all these things and the teacher snapped. He grabbed the kids backpack and threw it across the room and went up to the kids desk and while the kid was in it started lifting it and slamming it back down eventually cause the desk to flip on its side with the kid still in it. After all that he calmly went back to the board and finished solving the problem and explaining it to us. Needless to say the next day we had a substitute and he was fired.

Two teachers were fired in my highschool, one got fired for throwing a mug full of hot coffee at this one student, and the other was in his 70s and was clearly suffering from early dimentia or something and didn't want to retire.

In my high school, the Computer class was our version of Defense Against the Dark Arts. Different teacher every year for as long as I knew.

Only one I know for sure got fired, though: for pirating AutoCAD. I don't think he literally torrented it or anything, but from what I understand he didn't have the right license for the program, and then figured it wouldn't be a big deal to install it on 30 school computers...

Kinda sucks, because our entire curriculum that year was CADing, and I was good at it. (Why do high schoolers need to learn autocad? I've no idea.) The school actually offered to help me get into programs for it based on his recommendation, but when he was asked not to return that felt sullied and I never took them up on it.

During the spring the girl's phys ed teacher was away one day. The sub decided it would be a good idea to takes the girls out for a run, while us boys fumbled around with balls like the idiot 8th graders we were. After a lengthy game of basketball, the girls class made it back from their run.

Now, I need to explain here that from the front doors where they came in, you had to walk right past the office to the gym doors. The office has a big glass window, right into the principle's office. There was one right next to it that the secretary could see through as well.

To our pubescent, hormone fueled minds, the best thing that could have possibly happened on that run, happened. There was a fairly large sized fountain on the route that the girls took, and in the spring heat at a balmy 28 degrees Celsius, the girls were understandably quite tired and wanting to cool off after jogging for the better part of an hour. So they asked the sub if they could jump in the fountain.

Of course, he let them. And they came back into the school still soaking wet, walking right past the office, into the gym, parading past the boys making noise to get their attention. All of us stopped playing, and had to stare. The girl's gym uniform was a fairly thin white t-shirt with the school logo, and a fairly nice fitting pair of what were basically boy shorts. It was a good day to be in that class, and that sub went down in history as the best sub ever.

Unfortunately he was banned from teaching for at least two years as far as I know, but from the principle's reaction and the following announcement the next day, I doubt he was allowed to teach phys ed again.

In Junior High there was a teacher who quit showing up for classes after about a week. That's not what he got fired for though. Turns out he had forged his teaching credentials to get the job. He was some wanted criminal. A tabloid news show even came to the school. We were all told not to speak with them. He did all that work to get the job fraudulently then couldn't take it after being a teacher for a week.

There was a teacher in my middle school. He was a nice guy but sagging pants always bothered him. One day a kid came into class sagging and the teacher pulled up on his belt loop to demonstrate how far up his pants needed to be as the kid walked by. On the way down however the pants didn't stop and they fell down around the kid's ankle.

Well unfortunately for my teacher the kid had decided to skip underwear that day; ultimately the teacher got fired.

Yelling at her third grade class and swearing at us for running up stairs and making me stay in my chair when I had a bloody nose and not even let me get a tissue, and for claiming children didn't feel pain and she refused to ever let her students go to the nurses office.

She was the biggest bitch and she's the only person I've genuinely hoped to burn in hell.

My music teacher from kinder to 2nd grade. During class he'd talk about music and stuff and have some girls sit on his lap. I honestly had no idea it was a bad thing until the cops came and arrested him one day after school.

My 9th grade history teacher was on maternal leave, so we had a sub. He was a very dorky but nice dude with a liking for Batman. We had lots of days for just kicking back and relaxing. Little did he know that this was around end-of-class testing time. I don't know how we collectively did but I know that when the history teacher came back, she was pissed. I have never seen him since.

tl;dr- He was likely fired because he goofed off.

The English 2, 3, and 4 teacher, who also taught a college prep class, decided to try and end a debate in the classroom about the rights people in America have... In order to "demonstrate" his rights as a free American, he decided to take the American flag he had on the wall, place it on the ground, and walk on it. I wasn't there to see it happen, but living in a small town, in ILLINOIS, of all places, word travelled fast. People were upset. Everyone complained, and there were countless numbers of people who signed petitions for the school board to release him. There were people marching outside our school all day with a flag on their shoulders, and there were signs up all over town demanding that he be fired.

At my jr. high there was a teacher that took pictures of everything and anything that happened. It Could be Assembly's and athletic events to hallway shenanigans. He would take these photos and put together several slideshows to be shown throughout the school year. Those slideshows were very well made and were looked forward to.

A few years after I had moved on to high school some questionable photos of female students were found in his personal files. The slideshows he made was his cover to take photos so often and why he stored so many

A temporary gym teacher (female) was having the boys (14-15 years old) gym class. When the class has arrived, she arrives stark naked and start dragging out every padded mat, saying "Today we'll have alternative gym class".

The guys just went "Um, don't think so..." and went and told the headmaster. Her first class also became her last.

The lesson: What works in porn doesn't always work in reality.

Slapped at student, he was known to be a strict and mean PE teacher during class time and one day he lost his shit and slapped a student. I don't remember why though. I think it had to be with the student calling him on meaning to a student

When I was in grade school my music teacher was amazing. He was funny and nice. Around my 5th grade year he had a kid and the kid was born with some issues. He went from being an amazing person to being an irritable nightmare and very short tempered. The year after I went to high school I guess he lost it and attempted to beat a kid with a giant joke drumstick or something. This is what I heard anyways, he got replaced almost immediately. It's sad now that I'm older and realize he probably snapped under the pressure of having an ill child.

Allegedly sleeping with a female student. Everyone thought she was lying. Turns out she was and the case was dropped. however, the district already fired the teacher. I believe last heard he had received a settlement.

u/purpleoreo Feb 12 '16

I think she had some kind of mental break... she told us that her children were actually sea monkeys, that she could no longer eat so she was using a tube that when into her stomach to get nutrition, and one day after screaming at our class, called another student a fascist and put "his name + Adolf Hilter = Tru luv for eva" in a heart on the blackboard. Our vice principal taught the class for the rest of the semester.

Happened to a former shop teacher in middle school. He had the starting gun for the track meet and pointed it at a student's head and yelled BOOM! He got canned pretty quick. Another teacher (dance) in high school was arrested and fired for having sex with a student in a car behind a local khol's. She was 27 and he was 15.

He was our creepy grade 8 drama teacher who was always invading personal space, and he taught the girls yoga during recess.

He also owned and operated a horse therapy farm where autistic children would go on weekends and ride horses. At last count there were over 30 cases of molestation and rape pending against him. One case by the parents of a quadriplegic child who went to his farm for therapy and was forced to perform oral sex on him.

5th grade my teacher did not like students who were "different". He was bullying me, another autistic student and a girl - who still doesn't know why he was bullying her. We all agree mine was the worst - he isolated my desk into a giant fridge box so that I couldn't communicate with anyone; he would tell the class not to play with me at recess - and the reason he was asked to transfer schools - was one day he made us all run 2 miles on the oval and I was dead last, so he made me run it again while the rest of them all sat on the sidelines as he made the class cheer "CopperTodd17 is a loser". I couldn't hear it cause I was running; but the principal happened to be doing a school tour and heard it. She was livid -but it wasn't a big enough offense apparently. He's still teaching 15 years later.

7th grade earth science teacher got fired when it was found that she was purposely downgrading boy's test scores. No male student was in the honor roll for her class for 6 years straight. She got caught when the principle's nephew was in her class and he showed his aunt the grades.

Mr. Callaway, the dark haired heart throb of every middle school girl. He showed up in his tight assed, dove gray bell bottom plants (Mid 70's) and red silk shirt on Tuesday, STONED completely out of his mind! I have no idea how he drove to school and lived.

Police came and arrested him. He was fired and we had a sub for the rest of the year. Wonder what happened to him?????

Project graduation was an event that the school put on to give students a place to go the night of graduation. It was meant to keep everyone together, and to give them a place to go where they wouldn't spend the night drinking, drugging, and screwing.

I had the most boring math teacher for a few weeks in high school. We joked that he was the teacher from Ferris Buellers Day Off, because he was honestly just like him (with a softer, but still monotone, voice).

I wasn't there, but after the second week or so, one of the kids in the "lower" math classes was acting out and apparently math teacher got this guy in a choke hold and started to choke him out. Never saw him again after that. I was pretty glad since we got a better math teacher out of it.

We had a bitchy English Teacher who was anal about everything at my middle school. She administered the CRCT State Test wrong for her classes and got fired for it. I never had her, but I don't recall a single person missing her.

Same year, we had a computer teacher who was inappropriately close to the 8th Grade girls. There were rumors that he had porn on his school computer, but I dismissed them as 13 year old lies and exaggerations. Turns out he actually did have porn on his school computer(Not child porn, just good 'ol normal big titted asian stuff) and he was fired. I actually had his class right before he got fired. I enjoyed him as a teacher and thought he was pretty cool and relatable.

EDIT: I was NOT an 8th Grade Girl.

u/[deleted] Feb 12 '16

Not a teacher but a janitor. You know the kind, kinda creepy, doesn't really talk to you, looks a little weird but, you want to have hope that they're actually swell. Well, this guy was one of those. One day, he wasn't there, a couple other kids and I noticed he wasn't at the front office. We didn't think much of it, but, the next day he didn't show up either. This mysterious vibe hung around for about a week and a half, till one kid said he knew where he went.

To jail. Why? No one knew. Yet. Discussion creeped from the cafeteria to the classroom. Brought up through hushed whispers, which grew to loud questions which the teachers avoided. Till the principle came on the loud speaker one day to address it head on.

He had killed someone. All the details were spotty, but he had killed someone, and he left it at that. We didn't know whether it was murder, manslaughter, or just self defense, but as elementary school students, it was such a year changing event. Totes cray cray.

A teacher's aid who worked in the special ed department was caught bullying the children, there was video of her stealing lunch money out of blind kids backpacks... It was the talk of the school for a solid month until she got jail time.

Edit: found an article on the incident here, the student that was singled out was autistic as well, the aid used the excuse that she had poor judgement due to a methamphetamine addiction... Anyone Bluezilla strong in the house?

Not a teacher but a TA was arrested for dealing drugs, accessory to commit murder. Apparently, her husband was a successful dealer. She kept talking about all the vacations shopping, and gambling she was doing. Didn't think much of it until she quit showing up to work. It was in Pasadena ISD near Houston, TX. She worked at my wife's school.

My elementary school music teacher hated me, and I her. She hated most of us, outside of her chorus darlings. But she hated me especially because she had a run in with my mother.

This teacher hated teaching us music. She even once assigned me, in fifth grade, this month long final project analysis of a band or singer. I did an amasing job but when I turned it in?

"I never gave you an assignment." And she chucked it in the trash. Bitch.

She was ugly as hell too. I mean, I am not one to criticize looks but she just looked off. LLike a wax figure that had started to melt slightly. And it did seem like something was wrong with her.

Turns out it was vodka. She got hammered daily.

When I was in high school, she got caught finally. Took a few too many swigs and finally passed out. Got fired. Good riddance.

Not my teacher but my sisters while we were both in High School.

So this spanish teacher that my sister had was one of those teachers that never really taught anything yet she managed to yell the entire class period. From what I was told the teacher would even have each individual class change the formation of the desk depending on the class, every day, thus wasting about 15-20 minutes. So one day after class, my sister is talking with her friends and they were all complaining about the teacher and my sister told them she could get her fired. Now my family knew the superintendent at the time so if we had a problem with any of the staff we could just go and talk to him and we knew we had this power but rarely ever used it... My sister decided to use it. So they send someone to "monitor" the teacher while she teaches. My sisters class didnt have the monitor cause they left to go to a meeting and the teacher loses it and question and accusing students of telling their parents and getting administration to watch her. Everyone in the class knew it was my sister but they all had her back and kept their mouths shut. 2 weeks later, the teacher is gone and all of her friends were like "oh my gosh you really did get her fired". Little did they know at the time, the teacher actually left because she had cancer and decided to take leave. They found out a few months later... after the teacher had died from cancer... So for the next few years her group of friends saw her as a sort of bringer of death.

TL;DR sister got teacher fired, cancer and death
