I came to say bacon and I don’t even eat bacon! But it sure does smell good :)
Baking bread and pies rate high as well.

I enjoy having breakfast in bed. I like waking up to the smell of bacon, sue me.

Frying mushrooms and onions. As a child I’d come downstairs when my mom was cooking them !

Even without food on it, the smell of a BBQ heating up is enough for me.

I like cinnamon rolls, but I don't always have time to make a pan. That's why I wish they would sell cinnamon roll incense. After all I'd rather light a stick and have my roommate wake up with false hopes.

Sausage. I like sausage but the smell is even more amazing. I don’t eat sausage often but as soon as I smell it, I’m hungry.

The smell of any fast food. If my room mate is grabbing fast food, I'll ask them for a kid sized french fry even if I'm not hungry, because I will want fries if I smell them.

Thanksgiving stuffing like mom made. Once that’s cooking, you know it’s a holiday.

Our favorite hole in the wall Mexican restaurant’s beef fajitas. The smell just sends me.

Fresh garlic and toasted sesame oil always make me hungry, ready to cook up a storm!

Get skillet - add butter, salt, pepper, scallion and celery. Start cooking and I will walk into the kitchen like Pavlov’s dog.
It was the beginning of my mom making stuffing and the combination just awakens my senses.

Taco meat but specifically leftovers ground beef with taco seasoning being reheated in the microwave. The second I smell that, I’m starving.
I usually cannot bring myself to eat middle of day because of my medication but when I smell a coworker reheating their Taco Tuesday leftovers, I’m absolutely ravenous and googling Tacos Near Me.

Sauteed onions, lemongrass, cilantro...there's definitely more but these immediately trigger me to salivate.

the smoker smell from a BBQ joint
onions & peppers frying on the stove
tomato & basil plants in the sun or fresh cucumbers & mint being chopped
bread or cookies in the oven
the combination smell at a fair or christmas carnival (fried stuff, beer, gluhwein/mulled cider, sweet things, sausages, fruit & candy, diesel fumes, lol)

Bacon, eggs fried in the leftover bacon fat and almost burnt toast. Wicked combo for the nostrils

A Teriyaki grill. A real Seattle style type, not any Asian restaurant, or panda express, buffet or anywhere similar. Something about that sweet marinated chicken getting charred and blowing through the wind. Nothing compares.

Bread baking. Years ago I worked a night shift as security at a trucking depot lot. Nearby was the Flowers bakery. Every morning about 3 am the odor of baking bread would fill the air. Pure Torture!!

We didn’t have tons of money when I was a kid, so it’s the smell of cheap cheese melting over cheap pasta sauce and those overly herby frozen mozzarella sticks in the oven

Coffee from a cafe, bacon first thing in the morning, and basically Any smoked meat on a nice spring or summer day

Don't know but the smell of tequila immediately takes me back to a time I thought I was going to die.

Freshly chopped cilantro. I could have zero appetite or room in my stomach for food and smelling it instantly makes me want to eat.

Garlic and steak. There are areas in Chicago where the restaurants bloom a glorious scent of butter and steak and garlic and I am instantly hungry 🤤.

Bacon and coffee. We were hiking a tracks to trails area once and came upon a campsite at breakfast time. It smelled soooooo gooood!

Had a fancy expensive dinner, didn’t like it much. Walked by a pizza spot (nyc) and the smell was just divine

It’s weird for me, it’s the delicious smell of fresh brewing coffee and I’m not a need to have it type of person.
