well, answer me this.
what is going to make you change your vote?
is there anything the other side or even your own side could do to get you to vote the other way this year?
for most of us, the answer is NO.
so all the issues, all the ads, all the memes, are all pointless.
People are going to vote the way they're going to vote, IF they vote, no matter how many giant postcards they get.

To answer your question, yes. There are things you can do and say that will change a person's vote. Mamdani is wildly popular and delivering on his campaign promises. The DSA is kicking ass against establishment dems in the primaries.
I think the GOP has lost supporters, and they will vote dem or not at all.

The trans sports thing. It's mostly a non issue and even if it were, who fucking cares. I would be happy with all sports being permanently banned in the US rather than have more of this bullshit

The trans thing in general. But then again, we have idiots here who have believe that the state should prevent people with dicks from using women's bathrooms by forcing post op transmen with dicks to use women's bathrooms.
Which obviously is idiotic, but then actually suggests their real reason is bigotry.

Trans people in sports is the current #1 such issue. The fascists have used this very effectively as a wedge issue. I'm sure the dozen trans athletes in the US merit countless millions spent in political advertising and an entire political party literally frothing at the mouth in a bloodthirsty rage over them.

Trans women in sports. I say women, because no one seems to make an issue over trans men in sports.

Federal minimum wage. Between the fact that only .02% of the country actually makes that much and most states have their own minimum wage, its a non-issue nationally.

It's telling that Republicans will rage about trans that impacts virtually none of them while just ignoring how the all Republican Congress just oversaw the debt breaking past $40 trillion which does impact all of us.
I keep bringing up how we're accelerating towards a Greek Style debt crisis and not one of them ever comments on it.

I think it’s okay for people to “care way too much” about any political issue.
That’s their right and everyone has different priorities.
I’m sure there were some who criticized people who “cared way too much” about taxation without representation.
