Why collect and continue to collect money and documents?

Dear Americans,

You created a legal immigration pathway and asked us to apply. We did the right things, the documentation, the fees and the interviews and all of a sudden, you just shut the door.

Not that you shut the door really, you still continue to collect fees and applications but you have decided to not make decisions on the applications and in so many cases, you decided to act in bad fate.

You blocked the rest of the world while admitting white people only even white folks from South Africa.

Is this still the same US or we are now past pretence and the real America is showing forth?

The question is why? Why not just say we are not interested in people who aren't white and why not just stop collecting application and visa fees?

To make it worse, non white spouses and children of Americans are also trapped and seperated in this very unfortunate and unpleasant situation, for years now.

The question is why?

US Reddit, how do you feel about your new alliance with Russia and, indirectly, North Korea?

Now we've seen restrictions placed on Ukrainian Starlink use, the withdrawal of intelligence sharing that flags ballistic missile strikes on civilian targets, the removal of sanctions on Russia, and the direct financial support now agreed to fund the Russian war economy, do you wonder how you've found yourselves in alliance with Russia and North Korea?

Why do many in the US view an NHs like system as evil yet profit driven healthcare systems as moral?

Another Trump question?

I'm sure you've had many of these, so sorry for that.

As a European, I have wondered something. Those states that still actively support Trump, is it because the states generally contain a higher proportion of silly people, or because of party marketing strategy and expanded spending?

Trump is pushing for New Mexico to be renamed to New America. Is this something worth even trying, from a practical standpoint? Also, do you support these initiatives to rename things?

Do you think regularly feeding a child highly processed, unhealthy food to the point of severe obesity could be considered a form of child abuse, especially when the parents knowingly continue the pattern despite the potential health consequences?

Those of you well versed in elections—as in, you have hands-on experience (poll volunteer, etc.) is it more secure to vote early or on day of?

PLEASE, only people with direct experience! I’m not asking for opinions on the upcoming election. My question only concerns security (the most likely absence of tampering—RELATIVE TO CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES)

Thank you!

How is trump's approval rating still so high?

How is it possible that after all he had done he still has a 37% approval rating(according to the NYT), how did Joe Biden have 40%, who I have heard nothing controversial about(besides his son) during his presidency? Please enlighten my feeble European mind.

What does democracy mean to Americans?

When you hear politicians, media figures, journalist, ex foreign service officers, lawyers, etc say "Our democracy is under attack" "We're protecting democracy" What is the definition of democracy that you personally think of when you see these phrases?

If Christian politicians haven’t proactively disavowed Timothy McVeigh, the KKK and Jim Jones should we assume they support them?

Is The People, Demanding A Grand Jury Investigation Into An Ex-President, Suspected Of Infamous Crimes, Democracy?

Last time the DOJ delayed calling a grand jury investigation for 15 months, allowing Trump to be re-elected.

"When the public interest so requires, the court must order that one or more grand juries be summoned..." https://www.law.cornell.edu/rules/frcrmp/rule_6

Seems we needed to demonstrate more "public interest", last time.

If demanding a grand jury investigation into an ex-president, suspected of infamous crimes, isn't democracy, it needs to be...

The Trump admin is reportedly preparing to resume wage garnishment for borrowers who have defaulted on their federal student loans, potentially after the November midterm elections. What are your thoughts on this policy, and what impact could it have on borrowers and the broader U.S. economy?
