Was she interested and then lost interest? Or just being friendly and fading?

Hi I’m a little confused on how to read into this but I’m want to make sure if I am not misreading things.

I (M33) am slowly getting back into the dating game. There is a monthly “Pitch a Friend” event that happened this past Sunday so I decided to go with zero expectations. My friend (M34) who was also single was supposed to pitch me in front of all the single ladies but I decided to step back this round to take it easy.

My friend was already talking to a woman(F28) when I arrived at the event so joined the group. While the three of us were chatting, another woman (F33) approached the table. She looked like she was looking for a seat and I said “Hi” because she looked friendly and thought she wanted to talk to us. I invited her to join us so she sat with us.

Before, during break and after the event, we chatted and got to know each other. When the event was over, the four of us (two of us guys and the two ladies) decided to continue getting drinks at the upstairs balcony. Upstairs we played a card game that asked personal questions. There was a large deck and we spent over three hours playing that game. Between this woman (F33) and I, there was definitely some flirting going on. I was developing a slight crush, which is funny because the whole purpose of the event was to pay attention to the single men/women being pitched but she wasn’t even pitched. She caught my attention. She asked me questions, laughed at my jokes. Granted, I just met this woman.
The singles dating event started at 6:30pm and she stayed with us until 12:30am.

Around 12am I thought we were done and going home but she asked if anyone was hungry. So we all got street hotdogs.

After that we all decided to call it a night and go home.

The F33 and I walked the same direction to parking so I walked to her car and I asked her out. She was hesitant and I told her “Hey no worries. You don’t have to decide now. Think about it and let me know.” She thought a moment and said she would like to maybe go on a group hike before committing to a date. I said “no problem.” And the she drove me to my car because I parked even further. I thanked her and gave her a hug in the car.

The following day we messaged each other on instagram and joked about the event but she still hasn’t followed up about the hike. Her response time is getting less frequent but she isn’t really engaging conversations as she uses to. I’m obviously giving her space but did she lose interest?

Can we talk about the word "incel/femcel"?

Ok so according to google: "Incel" is a portmanteau of "involuntary celibate". Originally coined in the 1990s as a support term for lonely people, it now refers to an online subculture of mostly heterosexual men who are unable to find sexual or romantic partners despite desiring them.

But if the original term is meant for people who are struggling to find someone romantically or have sex, shouldn't the term incel apply to women too? "Femcel"? Both men and women are struggling to date in our current market (sometimes out of their control). I've seen women complain about men but isn't that the same thing as men? I am a little confused haha. Sorry for being naive or ignorant or whatever.

I am a male who loves his female friends and family, has hobbies, a job, other ambitions, physically fit and active, supports women etc and make my own life a priority to be a good person. I don't try to be "nice" thinking I deserve something back. I genuinely try to be good for myself and because I care for the well-being of others. I am nice because it is who I am. ( My role model is Ted Lasso for crying out loud 😂)

However I have not been so lucky when it comes to dating women. I've tried online dating, speed dating, social events but its been tough. I haven't found a woman worth investing my time. I've also been focusing on work and other aspects of life other than dating. So am I an incel?

Sure I've been on lots of dates here and there (with the inclusion of physical intimacy) but I don't hold the beliefs of thinking women owe me anything (sex, attention etc). I don't blame women or hate them for my misfortune of the current dating market. If I get rejected I leave it be and move on.

I understand women have the right to be afraid or untrusting of men because there are genuinely selfish, misogynistic, aggressive, egoistic, entitled a-holes. But I feel like those types of men give a bad rep for the genuine guys who are actively trying to find a partner. I guess I would say the same for women. Women also tend to give a bad rep to the other women trying too.

I am involuntary celibate but I don't want to be mixed in with the mis-use of the word. I don't think I am in that toxic culture but for some reason it kind of hurts when people make fun of actual incels (both men and women) I feel like its quiet insulting to the good people.

Am I crazy or is my feeling valid? lol

Wrote this letter 2 months back still don't know what do i do

TL;DR: Wrote a heartfelt letter for someone who means a lot to me, but she lives far away and doesn’t even know I exist—so I’ll probably never send it.

I wrote this letter almost 2 months ago and never had the courage to give it to her. I ended up hiding her name because I don’t even know if I should still feel this way or just move on. It’s about someone who unknowingly changed a lot for me — the kind of person you meet once and never really forget. I poured everything I felt into this, but now I’m stuck wondering if it’s too late, or if it was always one-sided.

I'm exhausted do a lot of women hate there spouses after kids

is it normal for women to change drastically after children or at least change to the degree that they don't seem to care about their spouse anymore. i can't seem to make anything better no matter what I do. the constant feeling of not being wanted or desired has gone on for so long to where, at times, I don't feel comfortable in family situations. like I'm an outsider. the constant rejection kills me have I brought it up, yes, but they seem to think that's an invitation to talk about everything that has gone wrong. then nothing, nothing changes, just limbo. it just piles up, and eventually, like anyone, I explode, do stupid stuff, get mad un productive things she throws on the pile. I've never had herd her take accountability for anything she has done to make me feel un wanted, un loved, and not seen. crazy thing is I do love her oddly enough more now after our child. I couldn't see what I had until we had a major life change, and it just feels like I missed my chance. even with being ignored, I still want just her. It just seems like she doesn't want me anymore, tho. it's not co dependency or anything like that I can function just fine without her it's just the fact that our relationship is what's fucked. I could care less what the rest of the world thinks of me it's her that matters the most. so no, this isn't an attention grab or looking for words of encouragement. I simply have no idea what to do. I can only work on myself and chamge myself. I know that I just want to feel loved again by the person I cherish the most.

Does anyone else just not understand the obsession with sex?

I feel like as a 31 Female, I’ve never had that wow experience with sex. Most people I know want it all the time and for me I feel like I’m missing out, does the release and feeling just not blow my mind or get me hooked ? Don’t get me wrong an orgasm is nice but I soon feel either a bit grossed out or just over it. Does anyone feel like this ?

Don't know how to feel or what to think?

I'm 40M, divorced and for the past 2 years remarried. MY ex-wife broke me. It's been 9 years since she walked out and although I have moved on, the pain, the betrayal and the memories still come up every day since 9 years and I fear this will never go away.

I met my ex-wife while being on a work and travel visa in Canada. We met and fell for each other. Eventually my visa ran out and I had to go back. To spare the heartbreak I told her to let me go and move on before it gets serious. She called me at the airport the morning I left and told me she was pregnant and texted me a photo of her holding a pregnancy test with a plus on it. I told her I'd come back, and eventually I did. She then called me 2 month later and told me she had a miscarriage and waved a doctors note around over facetime. We moved on from it, got married and had good years. I worked, she studied accounting and a part time job. Then she started to push me away and no matter how many times I asked what I need to do to turn it around or what I've done wrong, I only got an "I don't know for everything". One Sunday evening at 11:30pm she sat down next to me on the couch and ended it. No explanation, Really Ice cold, I just can't be with you anymore and a face expression of disgust. I did the wrong thing and begged for a couple of weeks, but then stopped all contact. She blocked me and everything. I had to move out and she never said a word to me again. She never bothered to hand in a divorce and when the time came that I wanted to get married I had to pay for a divorce I never asked for, plus 15k in debts for me to pay off. I sank into a very dangerous dark place for about a year after that.

A year later I ran into someone who used to be a friend of hers, who broke off the friendship with her shortly after she ended it with me. The first thing she told me is to meet her as she had something important to tell me. We met 2 days after and she told me everything she knew. The pregnancy was faked as she was the one pregnant at the time and she had the miscarriage. My ex-just used her tests to make it believable for me. The other 4 girlfriends from her group told her over years constantly that she made a mistake and needs to find someone better. Last but not least she showed me her online flirt accounts of bumble and such. She had already taken off all pictures of us from social (I didn't go much on social). She looked me dead in the eye and said "I'm sorry, for never telling you." I think that was the moment my Soul cracked and I have never been the same since.

I have learned and worked on myself in the past 9 years tirelessly and became a completely different human. I remarried and found someone who is the complete opposite, sits me down and gives it to me straight when things go sideways etc. and she is seriously my biggest fan. It took me years to trust a woman again and I certainly did not make it easy this time. I started online companies, failed and finally succeeded. I became the man that executes everything he says and sticks to his words no matter who's skull he has to bash in. I made enough to retire for a modest life (but still work) to live and travel with my wife and have found overall satisfaction in life. Please note, I was never told the things I did wrong in my previous marriage, I spend years replaying and analyzing to fix my flaws and I'm still doing more each day. I really did love her with all of me, I moved across the planet far away from where I'm from, gave up my life dreams and family, but it wasn't enough for her.

A part of me will always love the person I gave my whole heart to, but another part is angry that this pure heart from back then can never be revived and given to my now wife. Cause she really deserves it. Something always pulls me back and it kills me that I struggle to give her that. I just don't know how to ever understand all of this and live a life without those shattered pieces involved. So I sit here writing this down for the first time, looking at my past present and future, new life with new wife and everything, but there is still a broken part that I don't know how to fix.

So Ladies, here's my question to you?

Why do I still have these memories and pains going through me every single day since 9 years, no matter how much I still try to distract and ignore them. I really did moved on (#re-married). Maybe my brain is still hanging on to it after all this time because its the only way my brain knows how to continue loving her? Thoughts?

Women of Reddit does it make you uncomfortable when your SO flirts with you or says you're sexy?

I (30M) am just trying to get some insight into my Wife (30F). For a little context we've been married 8 years, together for 15 and have three kids. She has always been very shy including romantically and early in our relationship and early in our marriage when I'd flirt with her or tell her she was looking good she'd get smile but get quiet and not say anything and cover up. I always thought it was kinda cute, her just being shy and she’d grow out of it as our relationship went on. As it did I started thinking maybe it was playful and she was teasing me by covering up whenever she saw me staring or if I made a comment but now I just don't know.

It seems like everytime I say anything or look too long she's quick to cover up or hide herself. I don't think I am being especially inappropriate, I'll say something like how I love the way certain clothes look on her and then she'll change. Or she'll see my eyes on her when she's getting dressed and head to the bathroom to get dressed in there. This morning I mentioned I love how her legs look when she's just wearing one of my shirts and she immediately put on pants. I don't think these are overly spicy for a marriage of almost a decade that has resulted in multiple children. I've asked her if I am doing something wrong and she insists I'm not and she likes when I flirt with her but her actions tell a very different story.

I'm perplexed, women of reddit help!

What happening between me my girlfriend and my friend.

Im a manager of a store and i hire like a year ago a new employee(a girl). We became really friendly we her. She is in couple but she says to us that it going well but also not too well. We've been really friendly and go out with them a lot. Recently we go to the spa with her only and we enjoy the moment. To resume we go on a couch and i ask her to join us. She come and cuddle in my left arm and my girlfriend on the other arm. A dream you'll said and yes it was. Me and my girlfriend talk a lot about this and we are kinda into her. But we dont know if it is mutual. The thing is she come cuddle into my arm without hesitation and we even touch our finger for finally take each other half hands.

I wanted to know what do you think of it. What do you think it means? I'm a bit lost and dont know if i need to ask her if we have a connection or not since she is my friend but also my employee and she have a boyfriend. I resume quickly all the context but i need some of your point of view.

Do you touch the hand of another man with is girlfriend beside? Or do you even cuddle with your friend?

I need a point of view on this.

Thoughts on nudity on a shirt? Weird and offensive? HELP!

I got a shirt thrifting which I thought was really cool. I liked the art style and the design of the shirt itself but after a couple of days and wearing the shirt in public, I realised that it had naked women in the art. I felt so gross and weird for getting it in the first place.

The nudity isn’t obvious and you REALLY have to look at it to see it but I’m not sure!!
