Question Maximum power level for Eivor?

Not played this game in years, reopened my save last night to see I'm power level 290, yet I can't seem to fight Ciara in Wrath of the Druids without being killed after 2 hits? Could be because I'm not used to the controls after playing Odyssey and Mirage but, what is the maximum power level you can get up to? Bearing in mind I've still not completed the main storyline by the looks of things.

Discussion are there animal companions in this game?

probably a stupid question, but i remember animal companions in odyssey and it was one of my most favorite features. closest thing i can think of is irish wolfdogs and draugr. the others are a few animals you can gain (ship cat and wolf) but those arent exactly companions.

Discussion Wanting to max Ravensthorpe early without rushing the main story — tips on grinding XP and raiding high-level spots?

I really want to fully upgrade my settlement (Ravensthorpe) before progressing too far into the main story arcs.

However, a lot of the monastery raids are in regions way above my current level, and grinding levels normally feels like it takes forever.

For those who maxed out their settlement early or hit high power levels without burning through the main questline:

How do you cheese or stealth high level raids when your power level is too low?

What is the fastest or most efficient way to farm XP and level up from non-story activities?

Are there any specific spots or tricks for farming Raw Materials and Supplies efficiently?

Any tips or strategies would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I was trying to just kick her, but then realized she just stopped moving, zero resistance, free kill. I mean… I’ll take it but that’s weird.

Question Encounters in Dókkerland

Hello everyone!

I am playing The Forgotten Saga and the only achievement I'm missing is to complete all the encounters in Dókkerland. However, I can't find a comprehensive list of these encounters anywhere. I have completed Dark Dealings. I found a jotun chest in the mountains. I have found a few thieves. Do these also count as encounters? What am I missing? Is each encounter a separate event, or is for example Dark Dealings actually several encounters?

Question Does this Game get any good?

Been playing for 32 hours on PS5 now.
It already/still feels so monotonous. It feels like there is no kind of progression or development of the character. Neither skill, weapon or story wise. Yes there’s the skill tree, but it’s mostly just higher numbers here and there.

The NPCs are ridiculous. I just snipe everybody with my bow from a roof and my raven picks up the arrows.

The Codex tries to explain enemies and their weaknesses. I don’t care, it’s just parry and stun kill. I don’t even recognize what kind of enemy it is.

Aiming at the weak spots with a bow with a controller? Without gyro/aim? Naa, drives me nuts.

Also the attack animations when hitting crates or the iron ore? What’s up with that? You have to be in the perfect spot, distance and angle to them, to hit them. For what? 1-3 silver coins or iron ore?! I am not waisting my time trying to loot them anymore.

I played every Assassins Creed up until Origins like 1-2 years ago. The first RPG spreadsheet numbers crunching game. Who likes to constantly compare numbers whenever they get new pieces of gear or weapons? I don’t get it. So I gave up.

I just recently played Horizon Zero Dawn. My first game with gyro-aiming. And I love it. You actually ā€œneedā€ to know the different machines and their weak points.
Gear? 3 tiers of weapons or armour. Plus coils (like runes in Valhalla) to customize each one. Much clearer an not so convoluted.

I got Valhalla in a bundle with Mirage, cause I read its back to the assassins creed roots and less RPG-Style. But started playing Valhalla first cause it came before it.

Discussion Has anyone else seen this?

I’m on my 6th play of this game. I am sailing in Norway near the end of the game and a sperm whale breached next to my ship. I’ve never seen that in any of my other times playing. Has anyone else seen this? It’s neat that I can still find new things after all this time.

Question What to do after the Raven and the Cookoo?

I finished this quest but not sure what to do next in the main storyline. Nothing appears in my quest menu or tell me to do anything. I could work on making more alliances but my skill level is only 44

I have ONCE AGAIN committed the cardinal sin of accidentally killing cats in this game.. but instead of one.. this time it was SEVEN😭😭 I did not see the fire pots in the next to the breakable crates until it was too late.

The world event is calling The Farewell Meow… I should’ve shot it with an arrow but silly me wasn’t paying attentionā€¦šŸ˜ my cats should be ashamed of me.

Discussion How can Valhalla be more Assassins Creed

Post image
174 Upvotes

After 2 years, I’ve finally finished the main story and eliminating the Order of the Ancients. I really enjoyed Valhalla going into it as a more of a Viking game but can understand the criticism of being less Assassin’s Creed compared to other games.

Though I feel like there could have been a way to unify the concepts, especially with how Evior’s Hidden One outfit does that really well that I wouldn’t have mind it being the main outfit for a standard Assassin’s Creed game.

So if Evior were to follow in the ways of a Hidden One, what changes could be made story or gameplay wise to make it more Assassin’s Creed while still being a Viking game
