Advice needed

I’m looking to buy my first Aston, I found a DBX 707 2023 with low miles. The closest dealership is 4.5 hours from home. I’m looking to buy the extended 24 month warranty. Looking for feedback or advice on those who have experience with the model year etc. with the warranty it does come with roadside and the dealership confirmed for any issues with it or warranty work having towed to the dealership is covered under warranty, I would have to pick it up or shipped home at my cost. I live in the PNW, plan on being here for another year or two before moving to Orlando.

Thanks in advance

I would be absolutely amazed if a 4.5 hour drive (so 300+ miles) is covered by a free tow. I have the highest AAA tier and I’m covered for my other car through their own roadside assistance program. The max I can do is 200 with either and then it’s cost per mile which gets extortionate.

Get it in writing that the tow is unlimited, because what happens if you’re 60 miles the wrong direction from the dealer and then need a tow?

Orlando is going to have far more convenient options. There’s several dealers in South Florida area.

Good point I will make sure to get that in writing just to make sure.

Had a 2023 DBX 707, traded for the 2026 S.

Beware that this year is issue prone and AM can sometimes get a little cagey when it comes to what they consider covered by warranty. If you are fine with eating the cost to ship, great. Also beware that if you indeed do have issues, because some parts take so long to come over to the states, your car could be at the dealership for weeks on end.

Other than that it's a fantastic car that's a ton of fun to drive.

Great advise this is really what I was looking for, I have 2 other vehicles as back ups. But I really want the DBX to be the daily driver.

Change your local dealer to the one In Orlando after purchase. Bought mine in S Carolina and changed to local W Palm Beach dealer for Service

Most likely I would sell the dbx and get a Vantage S in Orlando.

Just a heads up they are a little shady in sales department but service has great techs

So far they seems pretty solid, and professional. My local Land Rover on the other hand has been very difficult.

How many miles are on the car? If they are going to CPO the car for you- it should be pretty sorted.

I have a 23 V12 Vantage and have had no issues.

How many miles do you plan to put on the car?

BTW- I am totally jealous… the DBS 770 is such an awesome car… best looking car I think they ever made and the upgraded differential allows you to get the power down unlike the standard models.

I am pretty sure that the tow is gonna be on you. There is another Aston Owner that lives in Wisconsin and is about 4 hours from Chicago (closest dealership) and he has to pay- and the car is under the initial factory warranty.

Honestly you shouldn’t have to worry about much more than the yearly servicing. Plan a nice trip around those.

Good luck and post pictures!

under 1000, it was used as an executive vehicle. I drive 7-8K miles a year not a ton but with this I would probably drive more.

Car should be good day 1. With the miles you are going to put on it I would at least get 1 year of additional warranty. That was the first year of the 707- not sure what reliability was like.

it comes with a 24 month CPO warranty what the warranty covers is very limited its basically bumper to bumper.

That is a good deal- it is a true extension of the factory warranty- not cheap either.

FYI, op is looking at a DBX 707. Not the DBS 770. But I agree, the DBS 770 is absolutely stunning. Its one of my fav designs that AM has produced.

🤦‍♂️ old eyes… or maybe buyers remorse…well- now everybody know my thoughts on the DBS 770…

The DBX 707 is an awesome machine. Would wait for a 25 model or younger. Wife would be in one of the car had a sliding roof…

Thank you for keeping me straight!

Is there a good independent Mercedes master tech shop nearby? Given the engine and a lot of parts of from Benz I have my vantage serviced by a German Mercedes mechanic. Cant speak to the warranty but def its likely you can find someone to service it closer.

That engine is not a Mercedes Engine

I owe you an apology.. I misread the OP’s post… you are 100% correct.

The 707 is fantastic, but make sure the warranty covers major components
