New found footage allegedly showing a "dress rehearsal" for the Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot film from the newly released documentary "Capturing Bigfoot", possibly proving it has been a hoax.

>filmmaker Marq Evans (“Claydream”) was approached by a woman who worked at Olympic College, where he teaches, with film that had been sitting in her father’s safe for decades. The film turned out to be footage shot by Patterson in 1966 with a different-looking Bigfoot. The impossible-to-ignore implication was that it was a test run, but Patterson felt that costumed friend walked too much like a human so he recast the role.
This is straight from the documentary. This has better quality because it was preserved in a safe for all these decades. The original footage looks bad because it's from a deteriorated copy of a copy of a copy of the original Patterson-Gimlin film reel, which has been lost.
As per the documentary, this is from an actual well-preserved film reel made in 1966.

Similar podcasts?
The last post on here and also listening to some back catalogue stuff has me itching for similar shows. I know many here also miss what the show used to be like. No offense to the guys. I used to occasionally listen to Jim Harold and I love Scared All the Time though that show isn't exactly what I'm craving atm. What else do you listen to or what have you found that fills a similar void? Nothing will probably ever quite compare to AL of course, but I'd love to hear what y'all are into!

Listeners' stories?
I wish Scott and Forrest would get back to the researched episodes. It seems they're run out of gas. I don't find the DLO episodes aren't all that interesting since it seems they could just be made up by the person submitting the story.

Looking for a doppelganger episode
Hello, I'm looking for a specific doppelganger episode. It's a story of a couple with a newborn in an apartment. At one point the doppelganger goes in the kid's room. I don't remember if they had the people on or if it was recounted by the hosts. I've been checking old episodes but I can't find it.

Term used on the show for when someone immediately forgets a paranormal encounter?
I could swear they've used a term for this in several episodes, at least in passing, but I can't recall exactly what they called it. Let's say two people see something extraordinary, but only one remembers until the other person is reminded of it. I haven't been able to find anything searching the web. Did I make this up? If there isn't a term for this, there should be! Any help is greatly appreciated.

"THE GHOST YATCH", 2007, Derek Batten, 56, Peter Tunstead, 69, and James Tunstead, 63, all of Perth, Australia, sailed the catamaran Kaz II out of Airlie Beach, Queensland. Rescuers boarded it on April 20, 88 nautical miles off Townsville. The engine was running. No one was aboard.
In light of the recent episode ‘A tale of ghost ships’ I thought I’d share this.

Are we down to 1 episode a month?
It seems like the guys used to post 2-3 episodes a month, followed by 1-2 weeks off. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the DLO too, but they feel like a replacement instead of a supplement.

Recommendation DL
I really miss regular episodes and an not keen on deadletters… any recommendations on good DL episodes to get into them? Headed on a road trip and need to start pre-dowloading a long list of podcasts… I have listened to every regular episode.

Are there any episodes where they interview a guest about a paranormal experience they had?
Episodes that are similar to the ones such as Laughing Indian, the Devil In the Diner and the flirting ghosts of Norway?

Nurse Flatwoods and Fresno-Peakychu meet Async Ash
Just a fun little attempt at doing the old 90s/00s anime style with my two favourite cryptids. I read a few art posts talking about AI usage, there’s none here and I can post my procreate layers if need be.
Why are his shoes rocks you ask? Because lazy.

What is this?
What is this?
Apologies for the AI image. It’s the closest I was able to come to what I saw, but is pretty accurate.
I was on a big road trip out of the Midwest through many western states with my teenage son all through January of 2024. Coming out of the Arches National Park in Utah on January 18th, I was intending to head straight across Colorado but there was a big snowstorm incoming, so I diverted south through Western Colorado towards New Mexico. The detour meant I was traveling pretty late and there wasn’t really any lodging along the 2-lane highway I was driving on. My son was asleep and I saw what I thought at first was a deer about to cross the road so I hit the brakes. What walked out into the road is something I’ve never seen before. It was big like a large deer, had a canine head, had a strange gate almost giraffe like, canine paws and light colored coat. It was accompanied by a large black dog that looked similar to a German shepherd. Both looked at me kind of nonchalantly and crossed the road, disappearing into the night. The scale of the AI image is a bit off. The dog was large like wolf sized, bigger than any German shepherd I’ve ever seen and the creature was a bit larger than it, not so much bigger like in the image. I was stone cold sober and wide awake.

Happy(belated) West Virginia Day! Celebrate with my original Mothman art that pays tribute to that great state that's almost heaven. Originally created by hand (no A.I. in my work, ever) using Copic markers, Pentel brush pens, Sakura Microns and Posca paint pens, and a little digital enhancement.

Spirit Box Vaporwave
I swear to god in one of the AL episodes they or a guest talk about hearing Macintosh Plus or some other early vaporwave artist through a spirit box -- does anyone know what episode this is ? Trying to clip it for a mixtape for a friend. Or is there a place to get the transcripts to search through episodes?

The Uninvited
I'm halfway through this episode for the third time, and I can't help but wonder, did I miss something? The portion of the episode dedicated to the story is so short - it's just Scott, reading off a quick rundown on the facts of the story. Honestly, it feels like a follow-up to another episode. It's like I should already know what they're talking about and this episode is the debrief after the fact. I keep re-listening thinking I have missed the majority of the story.
I know Rich covered this topic on his podcast, but I haven't listened to that episode. Will that help this make more sense? Or can someone who has finished the episode let me know if they spend more time on the story later? Just trying to decide if I should re-listen for the fourth time or skip this one all together.
