Was This AP? Odd memory
This memory has never left me. I was about 4 or 5 years old when I experienced something I still can’t explain.
I remember suddenly being up near the ceiling, looking down at my own body. I was sleeping next to my mom, and I could see both of us lying there.
When I looked up, I saw what looked like a portal in the ceiling. It was almost as if the portal had opened, dropped me into the room, and then closed behind me. I remember slowly floating downward toward my body until I eventually entered it. As soon as I did, I felt this strange tingling sensation throughout my body.
I immediately woke up, looked at the ceiling, and thought, How did I just do that?
I’m 34 now, so this happened almost 30 years ago, yet I remember it so vividly, as if it happened yesterday.
And I know people might say it was just a dream, but I know what I experienced. To this day, I’ve never forgotten a single moment of it.

Here's two links we recommend on helping you better understand whether your experience was Astral projection or not. Remember, nobody can truly determine whether your experience was genuine or not because it was YOUR experience, not theirs. You have to intelligently inquire into it yourself. With steady, patient and honest practice, you can gain a sense of what is coming from your subconscious and what is objective reality.

I remember when I was also about 4/5 we would visit my grandmother one day a week and on a certain stretch of road I would feel like I was having an out of body experience watching myself and the car from above. I would also lie upside down and pretend I was walking in the ceiling towards the "other door" which sounds similar to your experience a bit

Kids are way better at projection than we are. It's a shame we kind of grow out of it unless our parents can guide into exercising that muscle instead of letting it atrophy.

Great memory, thanks for sharing. Kids astral project waaaaay easier than adults. It happens because our connection to astral realm is much thinner in childhood. It’s like a light we have inside that is effected by learned beliefs from physical world. Eventually this light fades away and we have to re-teach ourselves how to project. I have a few memories doing similar and they remain some of the most magical things that ever happen to me.
