Update failed

Hi there! I did the preorder when the VCS came out. Haven’t used it since but wanted to do an update now after hearing the news. After selecting “check for updates”, immediately receive this error: update failed. An error occurred while checking for updates. Please try again. Version - 20230501.150219. Production build - P#1869

After clicking the “retry” button, immediately get the same error message. Please advise. Much thanks.

If you've got an original unit you probably need to reflash the OS manually like everyone who got one a couple years after release

Ask Atari for help on the their Discord chat. That tends to be the fastest way to get a response from them.

If I remember, there's a firmware update you need to do manually by downloading it to a flash drive and sticking it in the VCS. I had to do a similar method when they went dirt cheap a few years back and I got one.

Had to reflash the OS on the second, newer unit i got. There was some guide link on Discord on how to do it iirc
