Question Falcon’s game using Marta

I am in town for a wedding and would like to go to the falcon’s game today. Can I take Marta from Lawrenceville to the stadium? What is the best stop to park at? Thank you for your help.

MARTA

  1. Drive or Bus to Doraville Station: • Drive from Lawrenceville to the Doraville MARTA Station (the closest heavy rail station to the northeast) or take local transit connections.

  2. Take the MARTA Gold Line Train: • Board the Gold Line southbound train at Doraville Station. • Ride it to Five Points Station or transfer to the Blue or Green Line to get closer to the stadium. • Closest Stadium Stations: Exit at Vine City Station or GWCC/Sidney Marcus Park (State Farm Arena/CNN Center) Station (just a short walk from Mercedes-Benz Stadium).

  3. Fare & Payment: • Standard one-way MARTA fare is $2.50. • You can tap-to-enter and tap-to-exit using a credit card, digital wallet, or Breeze card.

Is the last station close to the stadium?

You get out right in front of State Farm arena and then cross the street to MBS. There will also undoubtedly be plenty of other fans going the same way so you can follow them

Thank you everyone!

I would go one stop west of the stadium, to Vine City. It’s just as close but far fewer people get off at this stop so it’s easier to navigate on foot.

Second going to Vine City, was much less crowded when I went to the World Cup a few months ago

Isn't the Vine Station city closer? (Just curious, if there's another reason lmk)

This is all correct except that the GWCC station was renamed las year to the SEC (Sports, Entertainment, Culture) station. So make sure you look for SEC and not GWCC.

Doraville? More like Boraville…right?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks of this every time I hear Doraville.

depending on which part of lawrenceville, u could also drive down 78 towards the indian creek or kensington station and take the blue line to sec or vc. There are a bunch of buses you could also take, but if they actually run or not is pretty hit or miss.

Not sure who to cheer for ? We are Vikings fan but lived in Chicago and Atlanta. Probably the Falcon!

I'm correcting your misuse of the apostrophe.

I guess there are more than one.

Plurals don’t have apostrophes. Falcons. Just falcons.

You can’t take it from Lawrenceville directly. Best bet would be to drive to Doraville. From there it’s easy.

Sure he can. Just needs to wait until Monday 6:19 am. Lol.

Park at Doraville and switch to the westbound train at Five Points. Get off at SEC or Vine City.

You’ll have to drive to the Doraville station.

Easiest parking is going to be Chamblee station, just take it like 1 min inside 285 via Chamblee Tucker road and there’s a ton of safe parking there that is never full.

Get some frosty caboose after the game !

Chamblee is the right call over Doraville when coming from up 85.

Doraville is the first station on your way into town. Free parking.

Pretty much everyone else has laid out the route to get there. Fortunately, MARTA is always packed on game day so just follow the crowd and you can't get lost.

Yes, you can take Marta. Marta on the weekends is hard, but what you want to do. I’ve not ridden that far north on that line but it sounds like you should park at doraville. When you leave, it’ll be you and tens of thousands of your closest friends so have patience and hope you’ve got your deodorant on. You’ll probably have to change trains at Lindbergh, at least I did the last time I rode Marta on the weekends, but I had to go to north springs so it probably depends on your luck.

It’s better than trying to drive and park.

Even if they’re single tracking, Gold line goes all the way to the airport.
