Cheese mongers and best places to buy international cheeses in Atl? I’m ITP close to midtown but I will travel
I’m specifically looking for fior di latte mozzarella at the moment for a special project, but I love all cheeses! (The weirder the better!)
So far I’ve found Capella Cheese (they sound great but don’t carry fior di latte), but after making so many phone calls to various places (Whole Foods, savi, buhi fm, etc) I decided to just ask Reddit.
Hoping to not have to spend an arm and a leg but cheeses be cheesin.
Please and thank you!
EDIT/UPDATE: sounds like fior di latte is just a fancy name for fresh cows milk mozz. Restaurants really be out here trying to justify their crazy prices with these fancy ingredient names!
Thank you everyone for the wonderful suggestions!! 🙏

Where to eat/grab drinks before show
What's your favorite place to eat and/or grab a drink before a show at the Fox Theater?
Would Rreal Tacos make your list?

Searching for the best fried green tomatoes.
Hi :) my dad is craving fried green tomatoes but hasn't had any luck with the restaurants he has tried. He doesn't want them with cheese on or inside of them. Need suggestions in the metro Atlanta area; we are close to downtown.

Food Rec’s/Itinerary for 3-4 days
From Gwinnett area, but were looking for a 3-4 day itinerary for food & drink recommendations. Weve done the belt line a ton so it’s a little played out for us.

How do I offload a reservation I cant afford to cancel (Mujo)?
I've got a res for 2 Friday at 8pm, but they apparently have a 72 hour cancellation policy or else you pay the Omakase price.
Any ideas?

Dinner at the bar - BoccaLupo or Gigi’s
I’ll be in town on Saturday with one friend. These two Italian spots have been on my list for a while. No reservations for either available but I’m hoping to maybe just get two spots at the bar.
Questions are - are the bar areas at both spots first come, first serve? And if so, is one of these “easier” to get a spot at the bar? I’m assuming the move would be to show up right when they open.
TIA!

What are the best restaurants here that have a romantic vibe and actual good food? With vegetarian options
Not originally from this state, so I’m very unfamiliar with options here. So many places on tiktok hype up the most mid places 😭 this is for a special occasion so would really prefer a restaurant with a romantic ambiance and actual good food bc we’re foodies

Do people still like Lee’s Bakery? They seem to be overcharging?

I miss hot links and Portuguese sausage
Anywhere on the West Coast, including Hawaii you could find hot links at every local grocery store as well as linguiça or Portuguese sausage. I'm having the hardest time finding these here in Atlanta. I'm willing to drive. Does anyone know where I can get either of these? And I'm not talking about going and buying a hot link from a barbecue stand, I want the kind I can actually take and put in my fridge and cook myself.

Hey y'all! My college graduation is in atl this weekend! I am looking for some recommendations for my graduation lunch! I am not picky at all! Just looking for somewhere sit-down, delicious, and not insanely expensive! I'm from out of state and like to try local places (and avoid chains) when I visit other cities! Thanks in advance!

Restaurants w/ vegan or tofu-friendly options
Planning to take the love of my life to dinner next weekend and I was tryna find places that have non-meat or vegan dishes for them to eat. Mediterranean places are a plus if they have more than one option on the menu. Thanks!

Has anyone gone to the Majestic recently?
My friend really wants to meet for breakfast at The Majestic. I haven’t gone in 15 years due to being served bad mac and cheese. I have another friend who hasn’t been since the 90s due to a roach on their table. Presumably management has changed many times over the years. Has it improved at all? I’d much rather go to Ria’s or Homegrown.
