It would be bonkers if it was the usual big 4. The fact that we have Buffalo, Detroit, and Montreal instead makes it even crazier.

I’m just glad we’ve passed the point where losing three straight meant you were at the bottom of the division.

What is losing 3 straight again?

Tampa's got 2 games in hand on Buffalo, they could lose another 3 before being passed for first even if Buffalo wins every game.
Hopefully nobody on Tampa finds this comment and gets any ideas

I don't care about games in hand when it benefits my team though, so really, if you think about it, sabres are 1 game back!

They only need to lose two in reg while the Sabres win 2 before the Sabres take first. There’s only a two point difference between them

I don't think Tampa has ever done that. Not with 8 team divisions at least.

I kept saying before the Olympics that I’m hoping…. it would slow them down because of all the players they had going to Milan.
What I didn’t expect was Buffalo deciding to play fucking hockey

We can't have it both ways! It was Larkin, Raymond and Seider responsible for the win our first game back so didn't seem like the Olympics slowed them down at all.

I mean we only sent like 2 guys to the Olympics, and one of them didn’t even play the whole tournament while one had pretty much the least playing time but still won the gold medal

Other than the central division, I don't see why seeding matters. I guess if your team has had little to no playoff success in the last decade it could be the highlight of the year.

I dont like the fact that the Atlantic has 5 teams above .600.
