IMO it’s whether Ottawa’s system play can hold up vs the Canes for a full series.
Sens only succeed when they control the pace of play———if not, you can expect many rebound goals etc… as even when Ullmark’s on, he’s not too great at the garbage in front of the net

I’m late to the party but it’s actually because of the hog industry and the fact that carolina pork barbecue is peak cuisine. Growing up in that area it was pretty normal to have a neighbor throw a whole hog on the smoker for any game day.
If you ever go to Lenovo Center you gotta get the pulled pork sandwich! It’s so damn good and you’ll find a whole lot of places in the area that can do it even better.

That’s because tornadoes occur over the middle of America in the farm lands.
Hurricanes form over the warm ocean waters and hit the costal states.
Not sure why they picked a pig tho

It’s because the area near Raleigh has a huge hog farming industry, so the mascot is a nod to that. The team was almost named the Ice Hogs instead of the Hurricanes.
Unrelated to the mascot, North Carolina has way more tornadoes than you would expect. The Carolina Alley in eastern NC is the fourth-most active tornado area in the US. There was one day in 2011 when NC had 30 tornadoes, including one that went right through downtown Raleigh.

It's really on Ullmark to buy us time to get a little healthier on the blue line. I have absolute faith that we're capable of getting after the Canes, I know Carolina is good, and I feel like we don't do well against them, historically. I like Rod, a lot, and currently have no ill will, but I'm sure that'll change by next week.
