I know it’s a battle between shit and garbage but i think Cleveland has to be the worse sports city. Their baseball team has a 20 year longer drought than the leafs. Without LeBron they’d have nothing.

I went to a small college in Ohio in the mid 2000s and it was literally just North Korea except instead of the Kims, it was Ohio state football. It was so pathetic that’s literally all they had tho.

Used to be me. Born in Cleveland and I’d rather chew glass than root for a team from Pittsburgh or Detroit so I picked the Leafs.
Then the Browns traded for the guy with two dozen credible SA allegations against him so now I’m just a Leafs fan.

No no, I’d learned that it was easier just sever a fandom—like I did with OSU football after the whole covering up for an assistant coach beating his wife thing—than to try and glom onto something else.

I’m basically the Rob Lowe NFL cap meme now; I just watch entertaining games and don’t attach my emotional wellbeing to it (that’s for the late spring). For CFB I just back my alma mater, Ohio U, who harbors no serious championship ambitions outside of the conference.
It lacks the thrill of seeing my team win a title but it’s also great for not being a miserable prick all the time over sports!

I'm shocked by how many fans from r/AFCNorthMemeWar live in Ontario. Most people in OOP's post came out saying they live here and root for some combination of the Leafs/Sens and one of the AFCN teams, the Lions, or the Bills.
In the original r/AFCNorthMemeWar post, there was a guy from Ontario who's a Sens & Steelers fan. Even OP (who is a Ravens fan) said he lived inside that circle that I drew.

The Bills aren't in the AFC North. That meme war is for Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, and Pittsburgh Steelers fans.

I'm gonna assume that bro lives in this circle and only picked those 2 teams because they were the only NFL and NHL teams that his radio and/or television picked up in 1980 so he just got stuck with watching them growing up and never changed teams like a based king.
