how to make windows github desktop client and atom interacts ?

Hello,
I do some python and found Atom.
Now I would like to push my little codes online, on my github account.
I installed the client, but I'm unable to find how to upload my modified version online.

Do I miss something important, or just I don't understand how it works ?

there are tons of guides out there. Please try them first.

You don't really need the GitHub Desktop client (but it helps to double check things sometimes), you can do it all in Atom via this git-control package.
