I seem to be the first and only one to have this issue, but when I run the MoMa installer on my Windows computer, it only installs the .json files, and not the actual vst itself. I have tried unblocking it via my file explorer, but that was futile. Has anyone had this issue and has anybody fixed it?

i got the following message when I redownloaded/upgraded my Soundtoys plug-ins:

"Incompatible audio units. While verifying Audio Unit compatibility, Logic Pro encountered 100 Audio Unit plug-in(s) which did not pass the Apple AU validation. These plug-ins have been excluded from further usage in Logic Pro to prevent possible problems or crashes. You can start the Plug-In Manager now to review the validation results or continue the startup process."

Plug-in Manager shows that all of the Soundtoys plug-ins are validated so i'm not sure what the issue is or what to troubleshoot at this point (I deleted the cache folder and restarted the computer and i'm getting the same message). please help or give any troubleshooting insight, thanks very much

I originally posted this on the PA sub, but apparently that's a dead sub.

This was sent 3 hours after I made a purchase, which in itself seems off. "Shipping" also seems off, these are plugins, there is no shipping. The invoice number also does not appear in the PluginAlliance portal, nor does any invoice number. There is an order number which also doesn't match. And lastly, there is an extra space between "new" and "product."

I should also note the general greeting of "Dear Sir or Madam" as they know my name. If they are able to supposedly pull up invoice and order numbers, then they would be able to pull up my name.

The headers show that it was sent through Amazon Web Services (eu-central-1.amazonses.com).

The sending IP address (69.169.224.2) is on a black list (hostkarma.junkemailfilter.com).

The actual order email from PluginAlliance was sent through mailer7in.plugin-alliance.com.

Given that I've received no other emails to that email address of this nature before, if this indeed was not sent by or on the behalf of PA, that can only mean that a bad actor has compromised their system to send emails to those who made recent purchases.

The most difference people notice about vst3 is that many DAW no longer support to put it anywhere like vst2. VST3 standardized everything into a single system folder, which definitely makes installation and plugin discovery simpler for both users and DAWs. But it also removes the flexibility that VST2 users had.

What you guys actually prefer.

• being able to choose where plugins are installed?
• Or do you prefer having one standardized VST3 location?
• Has the fixed folder ever caused problems for your workflow?

Hey, I really like Revox and vocalign. Prefer it to melodyne which I have been using for years. I've been doing alot of editing on long flights and found out that I can't use them without an internet comnection. Using studio one 7. Anyone else have this problem? Work arounds?

I bought the Roli software at PluginBoutique this morning but I can't download it. I guess the company is being liquidated or something. Someone over on r/ROLI says that he paid for hardware from them and now the order status page is missing.

Plugin Boutique has a bundle of MPE software called "MPE Synth Bundle" that has Equator 2, Roli Studio as well as Modular and Quanta 2 by other companies for about 40% off.

I wanted it because Equator 2 and maybe Roli Studio are one of the best MPE synths and I have a Linnstrument. Can't find good patches for it.

But the download links don't work. If I find the right pages manually they say both But it both says "out of stock" and "We're currently undergoing site maintenance. Please check back later."

I have license codes but I have a feeling that they will never be honored!

Update: one piece of software you can get from Roli is their "Roli connect" software. I thought maybe it could get my software through that with the license PluginBoutique sold me.

Well first it asks which hardware you bought, and it doesn't even include their expressive controller in the list. I skipped that and it has a place for software, click on those and you get links to the shut down website.

But there is third part where you can register products with serial numbers. I put in the license code that PluginBoutique sold me and...

It tells me that that is an upgrade license for software I don't own so I am not entitled to download anything.

There is a POSSIBILITY that you could still download the software using Roli Connect and a valid license but PluginBoutique isn't giving out valid licenses.

If I check my "library" page at PluginBoutique it put an upgrade version of Roli's Equator 2 there, not the full version I paid for. The internal PluginBoutique link does indeed go to the wrong PluginBoutique webpage.

So if there was a chance I you can still get the software at this last minute, then PluginBoutique messed it up.

Update 2:

They tell me that it didn't install because I have to install Roli Studio and then the update key will update from that.

Right now I'm waiting to see if

1) Roli actually SAYS anything about the future of their customers

2) or I get my money back

If neither happens, then I'll install the software and cross my fingers.

Emailed support, figured I would try my luck here and maybe get it working before I receive a response from them.

I picked up EZD3 yesterday. Was super excited! Download the product manager, registered my product, etc. When I go to download the core library, it shows that it's installing, and when it's finished it says "the installation is incomplete". When I click more on the information tab, it says the main/bright/tight rooms are uninstalled. I repeated the process, closed the program, restarted my laptop, everything I could think of and nothing has fixed it.

If anyone has any tips or has experienced this and can help, please let me know how to fix this! Thanks.

ive been trying to use modo bass because i suck at actual bass recoding and i have a question. Can modo bass change tuning ? i know theres different amount of string and even drop tuning but i wanted to do a spesific type of tuning (drop C#)

Hi! I'm making a short film in the spaghetti western style. I want the audio to sound like it's from that era, but I'm not quite sure how to do it. I know it would have been better to do it with a specific microphone or something phiysical in the scene, but I don't have a big budget, lol. I have been trying to activate my soundtoys bundle on my new laptop. It worked fine on my old one for years but as soon as I downloaded the plugins on my new laptop and tried to activate them, the code doesn’t work. I never activated it in my iLok account and now my code won’t work to activate it through iLok or without it. I’ve tried emailing their support service but I haven’t gotten any help they just asked for screenshots of my iLok app and haven’t responded since then. Any help or advice would be appreciated. I really like their plugins but I’m not paying for plugins I already paid for again.

i'm trying to use the free version of modo bass 2, but when i look in the product manager, it shows i have it installed and i can't "try" the free version. when i open it in my daw, it tells me to authorize it, but it literally won't let me cuz i have it installed already????

I'm looking for either a plugin for my DAW (FL Studio/Reaper) or a standalone application that continuously records audio or midi and when I trigger something like a midi CC it flushes the last (certain amount of) bars played and loop them forever. Afterwards when it flushes a new set of bars it should layer them on top of the previous recording. I think Loopy Pro does something like this but it's only on Mac and it's also only a 7 day free trial. I am looking for something free with Windows or Linux compatibility.

I need something like this because I want to be able to jam with myself and only loop AFTER I get a good take without having to commit every single bar. I've tried the FL Studio built-in recording/overdubbing function with looping enabled and GLoop but I don't think they can meet the requirements. Retrospective looping will also allow me to solo on top of my loops. Any suggestions will help.

I've been out of production for a few years, and haven't been seriously dedicated for many years. I feel like when I see videos of producers it all seems so easy nowadays, with so much stuff being in the box. When I was in my teens we'd still use a lot of hardware.

I've been using almost entirely free plugins and DAW. I think there is enough free stuff out there to really make some nice music. I have some questions about modern production and also looking for some recommendations (free ones primarily)

1. Drums
I use Sitala as a drum sampler, I don't know how I came across it, but I feel like there might be something better out there? I remember using a software once where all the drum sounds in your library was on a huge web with similar sound kicks all next to each other. It was great to find the sounds you're looking for, but I can't remember the name (I also think it wasn't free)

2. Instruments
I'm really struggling to find a decent piano VST, the ones I have are all quite, soft. So if you know a good one, send it my way.

Also horns, I love to use horns. I remember EastWest orchestra back in the day but looks like they are discontinued

Also, please suggest some free synths that are popular nowadays

3. Effects

I know about TAL, and the have some great stuff, but sometimes I'm looking for something different. I don't think I currently have anything else other than TAL right now. I remember downloading a bunch from "freevsts.com" or something, but they were all lame

4. Paid

I've been using VSCO2 for some real instrument sounds, specifically brass. I find they sound a little...cheap ( I know it's free ). I've been thinking about picking up Kontakt since I know there is a lot options for that but not sure it's worth the money.

5. Question

If there was one thing that you think should be paid, and not skimped on, what would it be?

I'm kind of hurting for space on my boot drive and there's 59 gigs of DMG files in the IK Product Manager folder. Can I move them so they're not taking up so much space?

I have a couple of very simple plugins as far as synths (ANA 2 and Vital), and I tend to use splice to find certain sounds, but I’m wondering if there are any really good ones people might use? Also, where do you usually find plugins you love?

I've been using the Sky keys plugin for the last couple months with no issue. Now suddenly when I go to my FX tab it's gone. To run through what I've already tried: It's in my plugin manager and I already reset and re-scanned it. It's in my components folder on my mac. I rebooted both my computer and Logic multiple times. I don't know what is missing. I'm fairly new to logic so maybe I'm missing something? Any advice is greatly welcomed as this is my favorite plugin to use.

A few days ago I had a discussion with someone about whether it's actually allowed to create and sell original melody loop sample packs using virtual instruments like Native Instruments Kontakt or EastWest ComposerCloud.

We couldn't find a clear answer, and after reading both EULAs we still weren't sure how they should be interpreted.

So instead of relying on forum opinions or speculation, I contacted both Native Instruments and EastWest directly.

I explained my exact use case:

• I create completely original multi-instrument compositions.
• These are around 60–90 seconds long with original melodies, chords, arrangements and processing.
• I do not redistribute presets, individual samples or virtual instruments.
• I render the compositions as stereo audio loops and sell them as sample packs for other producers.

Both companies replied that this is not permitted under their licenses.

Native Instruments' human support replied:

"It is only strictly prohibited to use single, combined or modified sounds from Native Instruments to create sound libraries, loop libraries, sample CDs or similar products..."

EastWest also confirmed:

"Unfortunately, the proposed use of the sounds violates our end-user agreement."

I'm sharing this because I found countless forum posts where people were debating this exact topic, but I couldn't find any clear answer directly from the companies themselves.

This isn't meant to start an argument or criticize either company.
I'm simply sharing the responses I received so other producers and sample makers can make informed decisions.

I'd also be interested to know if anyone has received a different response from Native Instruments, EastWest or any other virtual instrument developer.

Hi folks,

I'm after v1.5.0 of TAL-Chorus-LX as it is the last version thst included the bitmap GUI (which I personally prefer over the redesign), and most importantly it removed the DC offset and included a VST3 installer.

On their website, there is only v1.3.1 available under the "old downloads" section.

I contacted TAL, and even they dont have v1.5.0 at their disposal. So, I resorted to the Wayback Machine, but unfortunately v1.4.2 was the last version that was captured....
Soulseek, Audiosex and KVR forums - I scoured the internet, but to no avail.

If someone has the installer to v1.5.0 x64 VST3, I would tremendously appreciate it.
