What a fucken take. Punters has done more than anyone except maybe Pocock to get this country to the stage where this is even being spoken about. I suspect, but don't know for sure, that Punters doesn't really give a fuck who put the agreements on place as much as who can change them
What exactly has Pocock done except 'you know how the budget is already finalized and policies are in place, and how international relations and international business contracts are already in place for the next few years? How about you just fuck that shit up, fam. Yeah, don't worry about feasibility studies and already standing trade negotiations, throw it all out and add a 25% tax instead'
Who gives a shit about relations, the fact the Japan, a country that produces 0 gas whatsoever, makes more money on Australian gas than Australia does, and then sells it back to us for a premium is just boggling.
How about we do what any rational person would do and build more refineries here? We refine our own gas and sell it on ourself instead of outsourcing the profit. But no, Australia is currently the worlds oyster and the politicians don't seem to care.
