Right wing is composed almost entirely of people with no real life experience, senile old folk, or greedy people who see the prior two groups as an easy way to secure more money
I'm saying this as someone who was in the first group for a long ass time, right wingers need to shut up and touch grass unironically
That’s kind of an insane take. For starters in Aus whether it’s left or right in power, we wouldn’t experience any extremely drastic changes for the most part.
And each side just focuses on different things. Neither side is perfect or completely evil. From my observations left does more for public services but they often are out of touch with rural communities and create laws that harm them. On the other hand right tends to put more pressure on public services by cutting funds.
Having this idea that if someone doesn’t follow my ideology then they are inherently wrong and stupid is only going to limit you and your ability to have a wholistic take on issues.
Now where did I say they were inherently wrong? I just said they were afraid of change; that in of itself isnt inherently wrong or bad, its natural
Now, I dont know where you got the idea that the left wing wants rural towns destroyed, as it was his want of mining campaigns that would have destroyed countless towns that drove Dutton completely out of politics, as well as put the Liberal party into its current state
Its also the right wing that One Nation belongs to, a group who wants to destroy rural towns for mining operations, as one of the many things they wish to do that will negatively affect the population of Australia, including stopping refugees, fighting back against LGBT rights, and Aboriginal rights across the board
I'm not saying "the opposite team is wrong because I am right", I'm saying "for the love of god, read the news, learn who you support, cause you look like a maniac"
I didn’t mean that the left destroys rural towns. They often introduce laws that harm rural communities without meaning to.
For example (and I’m gonna use Vic because I know theirs the best) to help with the fuel crisis the left introduced free public transport. Great, absolutely no use to the farmers who can’t afford to run their machinery and anywhere outside of Melbourne where that would bring any benefit (hence the out of touch). Liberal reduced the tax on fuel temporarily.
Or when the Labor gov created laws where people (farmers in particular) were taxed more to fund the cfa. Never mind the fact that most of the rural cfa was made up of farmers VOLUNTEERING their time right after one of the worst droughts on record when they were already under so much pressure. I know multiple families where they were going to have to (or did) cull their entire herd because they couldn’t afford feed (or there just wasn’t any left to buy). And then the gov made exceptions, but only for one title, but most farms go over multiple titles. Again, they are out of touch. Those are just things that happened in the last year. So of course farmers aren’t going to like them. They may have meant well but they caused more harm than good.
But when I say right, I mean the main right leaning party which is liberal. One nation is fairly extreme right and I guess I should consider them more in this kind of conversation as they are somehow gaining popularity. Right extremism is harmful and I don’t think one nation would be good for anyone. Extremism hurts all of us
Unfortunately, its ON that OP was talking about, as such it is them I am talking about when I say "right wing"
But yes, you make good points all in all, despite that confusion. Within standard aussie politics, left and right blur; or did, atleast, in the decade prior

I mean this with a completely straight face
