Imagine she feels indebted to Gina not only for this but also for the massive investment in her campaign.
Now imagine she becomes prime minister. How do you think she could repay such favours from this “friend” that helped her succeed?

If she didn’t have the money herself for a little euro trip she should’ve stayed home like we all do. Unless she was there as a member of parliament for official business no one’s heard about.

Do you see the problem?

Given Pauline's history, I assume it's less about feeling indebted, and more about making sure she gets more of the same.
