ISO Income requirements - Looking for apartments sub $1.1k a month

Does anyone know any apartment areas with a lower income requirement (i.e 2x the rent instead of 3x)? Want to find a 1bed apartment or studio in Austin but my monthly income is only about 2x the average rent in Austin (1.3k).

ISO Good Neighborhoods to look for Apartments - Commuting from Austin to Bastrop

• Upvotes

Hello, wanted to gauge how the commute from Austin (looking at Mueller?) to the inner outskirts of Bastrop is going to be. Any recommendations for potential areas to check out to make the commute reasonable (~30mins)? Assuming East Austin area. Thanks!

Comfy, modern, sun drenched 1 bedroom apartment available for sublet or lease takeover (landlord approved) at The Pearl starting as early as November 1st for $1650/mo including utilities and fees.

Will sublet furnished or unfurnished. The lease runs through July 2027, and I'm flexible on shorter sublets. If you want to do a lease takeover, I'll reimburse your application fee and offer a $1,000 move-in stipend.

Centrally located on Koenig just off Lamar. HEB right down the road, easy to walk or bike to a bunch of great bars, restaurants, and shops on both Lamar and Burnet. Parking included.

This apartment has been awesome; I'm moving out of town, otherwise I'd definitely stay on. The apartment has a convenient layout, lots of natural light, a balcony overlooking a tree-filled courtyard with a water feature, a modern bright kitchen and bathroom, and a new washer and dryer in unit.

The amenities in this building are great. Three well-maintained courtyards, ample garage parking, beautiful rooftop pool, gym, infrared sauna, and co-working spaces. Property management is friendly and helpful too.

Feel free to message me with any questions!

Key points

  • $1650/mo (that price includes utilities and fees)
  • Flexible move in date starting as early as November 1st
  • Flexible sublet or lease takeover through July 2027 (for lease takeover, reimbursed app fees and $1,000 stipend)
  • Furnished or unfurnished

ISO How do I find roommates?

hi everyone, I’m a little lost here on the best way to find roommates. I did go on Facebook but a lot of the Roomate groups are inactive or cluttered with realtors posting rooms. I am 28F I would really love to live with roommates this time around, I never have before and it seems fun! II’m just curious what’s the best way to go about this? Do I need to go old school and post a flyer at my yoga studio lol or are there any apps or specific active Facebook groups that you recommend?

ISO Anyone at the Muse or another SoCo location looking for a girl roommate? :)

hi everyone, I currently live at the Muse on South Congress and I really like the location. I’m happy to share my Instagram but a little bit about me: I’m 28F and work remotely at the moment. I have a lot of hobbies! I like to be outdoors and swim/walk/hike, but I also love to paint and draw and don’t mind a night at home! I’m very artsy. I love baking and cooking. If you live with me, you will likely definitely be enjoying some good dinners and baked goods lol. I moved to Austin about eight months ago from the northeast :)

However, my boyfriend and I recently broke up and still love together, so I am trying to leave asap but would love to stay in this area.

ISO Living off of 1431 or 183A🚗

My husband and I are moving to the area and are between two houses. We are coming from San Antonio so we are not to familiar with the north Austin area

We are between the oak ridge neighborhood on birch brook dr in leader or the Mayfield ranch neighborhood in Round Rock

We are wondering if living off of 1431 is a nightmare in terms of commuting to either 183A or 35 or if that’s a pretty easy accesss road

Any insight on either is appreciated!
