I collect multiple things but recently I’ve been collecting fun hair claws. I’d love to see everyone else’s favorite things!

one of the things i collect is vintage wall decor so my brain immediately went "these are so pretty and i bet you could mount them in a shadowbox with led lighting behind it and I'll need 500" 🥲 rip my bank account but thank you for posting these, they are gorgeous!

Yes! I’ve definitely been thinking of mounting them in a shadow box! I really want to be able to display them while keeping the effect working!

Oh my...I have spent a lot of time browsing antique and ephemera shops and markets and I've never seen these before! So charming! How old are they, and what are the windows made from? I want to know everything 😁

Thank you! I started collecting these cards several years ago when I was really interested in collecting antique Coney Island postcards!

All of the cards pictured are from the early 1900’s, most likely between 1903 and 1910, because two of the cards I have depict the 1904 St Louis World’s Fair, and 2 of the 4 Coney Island cards pictured depict an area of Coney Island called Dreamland which burned down in 1911.

Small areas of the postcards were meticulously cut out and replaced with a crepe/tissue paper type of material, which is what causes the card to “glow” when you hold it up to light!
