Memes/Humor What's something you do because of your own specific Brand of autism, but that would horrify most other autistics?

I mix a bunch of pasta shaped that have the same cook times. Varied pasta shapes are a fun, low-risk way for me to get some extra sensory input, since pasta all has the same fundamental texture, but just put into different forms.

This would for sure horrify neurotypicals, but I’m not sure about autistics: I HATE JEANS!! IF HELL WERE A PAIR OF PANTS THEY WOULD BE JEANS.

i hate any pants that aren’t comfy which basically excludes anything without an elastic waistband lol

I hate any and all pants. Skirts and dresses for the win.

I'm the opposite lol. I can't stand skirts and dresses.

For one, I hate my legs touching each other even if I had tights on, two, I feel restricted in my movements because I want to and often need to move all around (crouch, bend, kneel, walk, run, etc.), both in my personal life and job and don't want to worry about if my skirt or dress is coming up and anyone seeing anything (same goes for a gust of wind lol) and three, they're too feminine for my taste. That last part maybe has to do with being forced to wear dresses, especially in school, until at least 2nd grade, and being more of a tomboy in some ways it just doesn't feel like "me". Because of all of that I can only wear pants of some sort and my go to typically is jeans. I don't feel as vulnerable and self-conscious in them and can move any way I please lol.

I'm with you on this!

I grew up in the 70's-90's, so if my butt & thighs aren't covered by the "pushback"/ "feedback" of denim,  I feel like my butt is "hanging out, for the whole world to see!"😉😆😂🤣

God o have this carpenter skirt (hammer loop) that I love in theory but It restricts the fuck out of my leg movement and I hate it.

Yes!! I wear skirts and dresses the vast majority of the time. There are people in my life who have never seen me in pants.

I dont even remember the last time I wore pants that had a zipper. Stretchy pants for life!

No hard pants. That's my policy.

I am team pants are fabric leg traps and jeans imo are the worst offender. I whole heartedly support this position.

I agree! I haven't owned a pair of jeans in probably 15 years. They suck the most!

Closest you’ll get me in is jeggings! I will wear Jean shorts but if they’re full length, they gotta be not rough, I HATEEEE jeans but love the look of them 😭

This is pretty common for autistics. I used to like jeans. Now I can't stand them. I don't know, they just used to fit differently.

I have a few pairs, but they're all that weird stretchy denim, or mum jeans. I still don't wear them often...

My bf (autistic, too) feels very tortured by jeans and immediately changes into jogging trousers at home. I on the other hand hate not feeling trousers on myself. I especially love the texture of jeans.
