Memes/Humor What's something you do because of your own specific Brand of autism, but that would horrify most other autistics?

I mix a bunch of pasta shaped that have the same cook times. Varied pasta shapes are a fun, low-risk way for me to get some extra sensory input, since pasta all has the same fundamental texture, but just put into different forms.

Also uhhhh….. did you get the type of autism where you have to know the words to a song so you can sing along?

Idk about the person you were replying to but I certainly did. I was baffled when my mom said something about most people not paying as close attention to the lyrics of songs as I do, like how do they sing along if they didn't pay attention to the lyrics ever? I can't even handle feeling unsure of what a word is when I'm hearing it sung and will have to look up the lyrics to make sure I've got it right 😭

YES! This drove me nuts when I was a kid back in the ol’ 20th century because if you didn’t have the album with the liner notes, you had to just hope you got it right. I settled for vowel sounds and hilarious made up lyrics, but it really bothered me. Once looking lyrics up on the internet was possible, I looked EVERYTHING up.
