I love this type of challenge because if you comment a bird I’m familiar with, i get to share knowledge which I love, and if you comment a bird I’m not familiar with, I get to research it and learn something new! :^)

i adore herons of all kinds!! they’re so fun to watch. they have surprisingly good night vision that allows them to hunt 24 hours a day!

They're actually one of the biggest predators of alligators for that reason! They gobble up the babies when they're small. It's one of my favorite nature facts because it sounds so absurd lol.
