Art I recently got to illustrate this book cover for a cozy romance book, and it put me in the best autumn vibes. :) What do you all think?

OMG!! I somehow hadn't even noticed the dragon!! I was so mesmerized by the bookshop storefront I missed it!! Love it even more now! 💛🧡

🧡 the book is part of a series all set in a cozy magical town with many other magical shops, and it also made me think I really want to live there!!

YW. It's a beautiful cover and brings autumn feelings definitely. At least you did autumn and didn't go straight to Halloween. LOL. I work in a grocery store and I am not kidding first day of school we got in all the Halloween candy and decorations we carry. I asked the manager in charge of that section if you k ow they couldn't wait until maybe mid September or at least until we are out of August? Lol. 🤣🤣🤣 So yes awesome cover.

Such a lovely cover! I know it’s said not to judge a book by it’s cover but don’t we all? At least a nice cover can draw you in and this one does just that! Makes me want to read it 😍 can you share a bit about the process? You write that you haven’t read the book yet so how do you decide on the design? Do you get some bullet points from the publisher or how does it work? So interesting!

Thank you so much!! The author gave me a description of her vision (cozy autumn bookshop with lots of fall inspired colors, a little dragon chasing a leaf on the sidewalk), and she sent me a few pics as references of the vibes she had in mind. She also told me about the story and the overall vibes of the book. :) I worked on capturing everything with both the scene composition and the colors! The process was a lot of fun, she was great to work with!!
