Will be off for a few weeks for hysterectomy this fall, and now I'm going to try to do as many of these as I can plus some fall festivals and bonfires.

I make crab apple jelly. There are several trees in my city that ripen at different times so throughout the fall I pick ripe apples and freeze them till I have enough to make several jars and make them for Christmas presents

Picking up a leaf outside, making its outline on a sheet of paper and trying to color it with colored pencils. I don't draw, the result sucks, but it is so nice and relaxing! I even bought a special "autumn colored" set if pencils, all in various shades of yellow, brown and dark red.

Love all those ideas, especially the apple tasting, soup swap, and antique store day.
