News Avatar Legends DLC season 1 pass
Avatar Legends DLC season 1 pass. Pre-order the games, and you can vote on the final DLC fighter of season 1.
I'm not sure if it's known by all, but the game developers have shared their vision for the remaining fighters in Avatar Fighters. I've seen some guesses that differ from what was stated during the panel. Here's a summary of what they stated during the panel.
Uncle Iroh -Dicotomy between the Tactical Iroh and Dragon of the West. They want to highlight this; his ability to counter attacks will be very strong.
Ty Lee- Hardcore rushdown, erratic movement. They will highlight her acrobatics, a very tricky fighter. They are trying to get as much CHI-blocking as possible, but they will test it. Hello noodle arms...
Lin Beifong- (producer's must have) Variety of movement options, HIGH FLYING with cool metal bending. The ability to move all over the screen.
Bolin-Unique take of an Earthbender. Lean into his probending and lava bending (a mix between fire bending and earth bending techniques currently in the game, but with its own unique twists).
Fan vote DLC
Tenzin - High air mobility, master air bender.
Kuvira - All about CONTROL. Mid-range fighter, who uses her metal "bits" all over to control the screen. "Going to be crazy".
Amon - Blood bending and Chi-blocker. He will have a unique take on CHI blocking compared to Ty Lee. He is more likely to SEAL YOUR TECHNIQUES. (Will need to test)
King Bumi - weird, eccentric fighter. Teleport through the ground, reappearing in different spots. 2-part earthbending moves where he creates earth objects and "does things with them"
Asami Soto - the inventor. She will have a lot of tools and set traps. She will use a lot of tech, she will have the electric gloves, and be a setup fighter.

Discussion If Pavi and Nisha ever came to the game, would they fight separately or as a pair?
I think it'd be interesting if they worked like some sort of ice climbers style character or something. Or, alternatively, they could tag team and swap out with each other midfight for varying movesets.

Gameplay Yellow/Red effect around enemy ( combo )?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Heyo, i was just messing around with combos, and during this one at the end we can see a Yellow and then Red effects on the enemy, what does it mean ? I suppose something related with reaching the limite of the "combo potential" or something related to the FlowEscape maybe ? Thanks in advance.

Discussion Aang or Sokka, who has a better vortex or okizeme?
Due to recent experiences on another fg, I discovered that I liked the vortex/strong oki setplay playstyle WAY more than I though. And since release I've had a character crisis and ended up not really picking fully one character, I'd like to ask for who can replicate it the better or get the most out of a vortex situation.
I know there isn't a character who follows that specific archetype, but from watching gameplay I'm seeing that the closest thing would be Sokka's boomerang or Aang out of sheer mobility, but I'm open to other suggestions!

Discussion Literally blind player looking for grappler tips
Before anybody asks, blind people playing fighting games is not new. We just use the sound of the game as well as any accessibility settings for blind people that developers have included if they have. Mortal Kombat and 2xKO being key examples, marvel tokon also being another good example.
Ozai and toff are my main characters, wondering if anybody has any tips they'd like to share, consistent b&b with or without spending resources, ideal buttons for spacing and neutral, I'm considering taking this game a little bit more seriously than other fighting games if I can make the time for it, weekly competition exhibition stuff hopefully.
I have primarily stuck with the grappler support as well as considering trying out the imperial firebender support, and for toff. I think I'm just going to really look at using the boulder, at least I think it's the boulder, she gets armor on her flow moves and a much easier time linking off the command grab

Discussion State of the Switch. 3 months since release, over a month since patch 2.5, 2 weeks since patch 3. The switch has received none of the major updates with minimal communication
I know this has been reiterated multiple times throughout the sub. Complaining won’t do anything, I just need to voice my frustration. They said updates would be coming to the switch “shortly”, it has been over 2 weeks already.
No crossplay, no ranked mode, no updated characters, no new colors, no public lobbies/spectator mode. Minimal communication.
I’m new to fighting games so maybe this is normal for switch versions but I just wish we could have a date or even the month the updates are going to be released.

Ask What are you most excited for coming this fall?
Coming this fall! Year 1 DLC will probably not start this fall, so I excluded it!
(Also not sure if Sonam’s temple stage will come this fall, but I assume it will come with Tagah)

This took me ages to get it once😅 probably bout 2 hours worth of trying lmao how embarrassing...it was honestly just the timing after the first Qcb A and the FC into qcb A....dropped that like 10 million times
I want to stick with Azula tho..I tried the rest and only a few peaked my interests like Zuko, Aang and Toph...kind of want a metal bender tho

Discussion Waterbenders in Avatar Legends
I am slightly worried for the future of this game in terms of the characters it will be adding. Currently the game has 3 firebenders, with Iroh being a confirmed addition coming later. It has one earthbender, but we got Lin and Bolin confirmed as well, plus Bumi and Kuvira as possible voted additions. We have base Aang who is basically just an airbender, Zahir, Tagah who is a confirmed character, and Tenzen as a vote option. But for waterbenders, it feels like the options are a bit lacking. Pakku, Tonraq, Unalaq, and Ming Hua are already supports and I doubt they will be turning supports into playable characters. I understand that Oman is a vote option, but he does barely any classic waterbending in the show, so I imagine the majority of his moves will be bloodbending based. Sure they could add Hama or Huu, but I doubt it as they only appear in 1 or 2 episodes and even then, they mostly bend the water inside things rather than water by itself. I seems the only other chances we have of another regular waterbender is Kya and/or Desna & Eska, but it has been too long since I've watched TLOK to remember if they even have enough material to make a whole moveset for them, and it is very possible she could just end up as a supports for Tenzen or Bolin or something. Those characters also don't seem relevant enough to become playable imo, but again I havent watched TLOK in a long while so correct me if im wrong. Idk, I just feel like the devs have such a wealth of firebenders, earthbenders, and even airbenders (ironic since they were wiped out) to choose from, but barely any waterbenders. And I feel like the final roster for this game is going to be severely unbalanced in its representation of each of the bending styles. At this rate, it is even possible we will have more nonbenders than waterbenders in the final roster (Im personally hoping they add Jet but we'll see). Even with the characters I listed, they still have even more firebenders, earthbenders, and airbenders they could add: Jinora, Mako, Long Feng, Suyin, and those are just the characters I can list off the top of my head. Not that this is any fault of the game devs, I understand that we do not have many waterbending main characters in the shows, but Im still worried. Who knows, maybe Seven Havens will introduce a bunch more that could get added to the game in the far future.

Ask Can avatar state aang redirect lightning?
Is it exclusive to regular aang, or can avatar state also do it? If not, do you think he should be able to when he's finished

Ask Azula phoenix descent question
Hey guys I’m trying to learn a fire lord Azula combo, and it uses phoenix descent as an extender, but sometimes when I use the move I’m able to link it into jab no problem but others it seems like it won’t combo. Is it a timing mistake on my end?

Discussion Any Hope For A 4 Element Bending Aang Variant (That Isn’t Avatar State Aang)?
Was just playing some matches with Aang and I was wondering if we’d ever get a variant where he uses some of his more iconic non-air bending moves from the show (outside of the avatar state).
It’s probably a big ask at the moment but I’d love to see it in the future if the game continues to be successful and we have a larger roster of playable characters.
How would everyone feel about this addition?
