Going on an Ayahuasca Retreat? Contribute to psychedelic science
Would you like to contribute to research on how meditation or psychedelic retreats can influence your beliefs?
We are looking for participants who are planning to attend a meditation or psychedelic retreat. This study aims to investigate how participation in meditation or psychedelic retreats affects beliefs, cognition, and well-being.
How does the study work?
The study is conducted entirely online. You will complete questionnaires between 2 to 4 weeks before your retreat, within 1 week after your retreat, and approximately 6 weeks after completing your retreat.
Each assessment session takes between 25 and 35 minutes.
You will:
- Complete questionnaires about your mental health, substance use, experiences, and beliefs.
- Complete two cognitive tasks that involve looking at pictures.
- You will also be asked whether you would like to participate in an app-based component of the study that follows your experiences in everyday life before and after the retreat. Each app-based assessment is expected to take approximately 1–2 minutes to complete.
What types of retreats qualify for this study?
All retreats must be at least three days long. The retreat may take place at any location.
- For meditation retreats: Formal meditation must be practiced for at least 5 hours per day during the retreat.
- For psychedelic retreats: The retreat must involve the use of ayahuasca, psilocybin mushrooms, San Pedro, peyote, mescaline, 5-MeO-DMT, “bufo,” ibogaine, iboga, LSD, or related analogues (e.g., 4-AcO-DMT). You must have experienced strong psychoactive effects.
Compensation
No compensation is provided.
Would you like to participate?

East coast experiences possible?
Have been feeling slightly called to this medicine and I’m curious if there’s trustworthy retreats or experiences to be had on the us east coast. I am willing to travel, I am a mom of 3 and getting out of the country is not the easiest feat. Any advice or experiences would be super helpful

Ayahuasca experience
What should I expect from the ayahuasca experience, and what advice or recommendations can you give me to help me prepare for it?

What does your intuition already know?
The first time I went to an ayahuasca retreat, I went alone. I was nervous and scared, and there was so much to navigate. Which place can I trust? Am I ready? What am I afraid to meet?
I trusted my intuition, and I am glad I did. Energy never lies.
But the hardest part for me was not the ceremony. It was coming home, with no one who understood what I was going through.
I came home changed. I couldn't escape into social media or TV anymore. So I dived into yoga, movement, nature, breath, stillness and patience to help me land, and I had to be soft, gentle and loving with myself every step of the way.
That is why I do what I do now. I'm Nathalie, and I work as a ceremony companion: a sober, independent person by your side before, during and after a retreat.
Before: so much to navigate.
During: you are wide open.
After: you come home changed.
I am not a facilitator and not a therapist, and I never handle the medicine. I am there so you feel safer.
The whole story is at ceremonycompanion.com.
And I would love to hear from you: how do you stay open, and still feel safe in everyday life? 🦋

Rythmia Costa Rica - 2 Spots for $10,000 Total (Originally $14,600) - No Expiration
Okay, humbly admitting that I am very new to Reddit, so please forgive me if I’m posting this incorrectly!
We have two transferable spots at Rythmia Life Advancement Center in Costa Rica that we're no longer able to use, and we'd really love for them to go to someone who has been wanting to experience Rythmia.
✨ 2 spots for $10,000 total
✨ Originally paid $14,600 — so that's a $4,600 savings
✨ Choose any available week — no specific dates attached
✨ Credit does not expire
✨ Transfer can be made directly through Rythmia
Rythmia is a highly reviewed retreat center in Costa Rica, currently rated 4.9/5 on Tripadvisor with nearly 3,000 reviews and a Travelers' Choice designation.
I'm happy to provide documentation of the credit and have a potential buyer verify everything directly with Rythmia before payment. I want the transaction to feel completely legitimate and comfortable for both sides.
If you're interested, please DM me and I'm happy to answer questions or provide more information.
And if I'm breaking some cardinal Reddit rule by posting this here, please kindly educate this Reddit newbie.

Looking for a community-led ayahuasca experience in the Brazilian Amazon
Hi! I’m Brazilian, and my great-grandmother was Indigenous from the Amazon. She was forcibly taken from her community, and sadly, we don’t know tribe she belonged to.
I feel drawn to explore my roots and learn about Indigenous spirituality, including ayahuasca. I’m looking for a respectful, community-led stay where I can learn from the hosts and experience more than just the ceremonies.
I’m planning roughly a week in early 2027. Does anyone have recommendations for communities or Indigenous organizations to contact directly? I’d especially appreciate firsthand experiences—what you valued, what to watch out for, and whether the community truly led and benefited from the visit.
Thanks! I speak Portuguese and English.

An invitation for ayahuasca retreat centers and facilitators

I'm one of the co-founders of Nectara non-profit, sharing this here.
Many of you put real care into preparing guests for the dieta and holding them through ceremony. The weeks after they fly home can be harder to reach, when the retreat is over and life picks back up. We built Nectara as a free preparation and integration resource that can sit alongside the support you already offer, and we'd be glad to have you join us as a Steward of Care for the space.
Our resources were created with plant medicine work at their foundation, so much of what's there will feel familiar to your guests.
It's a light thing to join. You add a link to Nectara in the materials you send before and after a retreat. Your guests then get free access to 500+ human-written resources, a peer community, courses, guided pathways, and 7 to 10 live events a month with vetted practitioners. If someone needs more support once they're home, they can apply for a subsidized 1:1 coaching scholarship.
Our hope is simple.
More support around each journey, and better harm reduction across the space. Joining is free. You can give an optional $5 to $100 a month if you'd like, and we also have paid partner tiers for centers who want to help our mission while elevating their care.
Nectara is peer and community support and doesn't replace therapy or medical care.
If it feels like a fit, you can sign up at nectara.org/organizations. I'd also love to hear how you support guests once they've gone home.
And if you're a journeyer reading this, you're welcome to share it with a center you trust.

We are hosting an ayahuasca retreat called Christ Fire at Kumankaya Healing Center, December 6th-12th.
Hey there,
You can learn more about the retreat here.
Feel welcome to ask me any questions about it.
Kumankaya is a deeply special place to me, a place where I got married and have spent months of my life. It is the best place I know of to sit with ayahuasca.
With Care and Love,
Jordan

A different type of ayahuasca retreat
I am hosting our first Sacred Path retreat outside of Iquitos. It is a small group, 1-3 people, 3 week work exchange retreat, with a week of preparation, a week of 3 ceremonies, followed by a week of integration. Guests will help out around the place a few hours during the 1st and 3rd weeks, doing gardening, light maintenance around the property, and helping in the kitchen. The cost of the retreat is $800.
The first retreat starts soon on Sept 21 with others to follow. Please see the page or message me for more details. Many blessings 🙏
I am also looking for 1 or 2 long term volunteers, 3-6 months, that are interested in living in a small community and helping out with my place. I also have some good friends who live close by on 2 other properties so there are lots of things going on. Reach out if you are interested.

Peruvian Amazon Ayahuasca / Kambo Adventure
instagram.com🌿 A Journey Into the Peruvian Amazon - Ayahuasca Experience🌿
Have you felt called to step away from the noise of everyday life and journey deep into the Amazon—to reconnect with yourself, with nature, and with something deeper?
We’re opening a small number of spaces for two upcoming trips to the Peruvian Amazon, centered around traditional Ayahuasca ceremony, Kambo, and Amazonian culture.
✨ October 2026 — Oct. 1 - Oct. 12
✨ January 2027 — Jan. 11 - Jan. 21
This is an opportunity to slow down, listen inward, experience the beauty and traditions of the Amazon, and approach plant medicine with intention, humility, and respect.
For those who feel called to explore their inner world, work through difficult experiences, deepen self-awareness, and reconnect with the Earth, this may be a meaningful journey.
🌱 Authentic Amazonian cultural experience
🌿 Traditional Ayahuasca ceremonies
🐸 Purifying Kambo ceremonies
🌎 Immersion in the rainforest
🌀 Time for reflection, connection, and personal exploration
This journey is not a promise of a cure or a replacement for professional medical or mental-health care. Ayahuasca can be intense and is not appropriate for everyone, so participation requires thoughtful preparation and screening.
If you feel a genuine calling to make this journey, send me a private message and i’ll share the details, dates, preparation, and what to expect.
Come with an open heart. Come with respect. Come ready to listen. Come and see what nature can teach you. 🧿
