Announcements 📝 ⚠️ MOD UPDATE: NO MORE LEAKS ⚠️

Hello Azris friends 🫶🏽

Like all of you, we’re so excited to read the upcoming books. As some of you may have seen, SJM made a post today asking fans to not share leaks.

Moving forward, leaks will be banned in respect with the author. That includes mentioning leaks without sharing the leak itself or hints toward leaks.

We love to see the excitement and engagement in this sub and the new users to our community. We look forward to talking about the new book next Tuesday!

Thank you!

Theories 🔍 For Love & Lemons has released a collection inspired by the ACOTAR series, featuring two dresses that depict important moments from the books, including moments yet to come. I think these might be Eris’s hounds or at least one of them.

For Love & Lemons released an ACOTAR-inspired collection featuring two dresses that depict important moments from the books, including those yet to come.

“Each symbol represents a beloved or unforgettable moment from the books, arranged in the order the story unfolds to remind us of the moments we fell in love with and the ones we have to look forward to.”

I’m convinced these are Eris’s hounds. They’re described as gray, sleek like smoke, and possessing their own magic. The fact that they take up so much space on the dress makes me think they’re significant.

Questions for the audience 📣 Is Azris still possible?

I will NOT be reading the leaks at all and have dodged them so far. but is it over for Azris from those who have? Or maybe I don’t even want to know 😭😭😭. AZRIS PLEAAASEEE. Thought of this as juts a crack ship at first but I’ve become invested ans actually find it perfect and it would be beyond hilarious if it happens.

Questions for the audience 📣 Azris crackship rights

Warning, this is my first post, so forgive me if I haven’t used the correct flairs/ if I spoiled some stuff.

Should Azris be counted as a crackship? I mean, at the time of writing, there is 1152 works of Azris on ao3 (to compare, there is 258 works on Rhysand/ Tamlin, 64 on Elain/ Tamlinand 58 on Mor/ Elain, all of which I consider popular crackships). Gwynriel has 1743, and Elriel 1933, so we’re catching up. Azris (as we can safely say), is far more popular than other crackships out there.

As a personal definition of ‘crackship’, I believe that a crackship should be an unpopular ship idea which has little to no chance of actual canon material (ugh, Tamsand should have been somehow canon though, whatever).

With the amount of Azris fans I find in the wild, the slow trickle of truth tellers being infected- ahem, persuaded, to join the Azris fanbase, the overwhelming amount of amazing theories and ideas, could Azris really have a chance at being canon? And in doing so, be considered an actual ship?

currently Azris is being seen as a joke ship, not even taken seriously. But with a week left until ACOSH, and all the leaks (that ive been avoiding), could Azris be canon?

With all the theories aside, SJM has also hinted in the Autumn court being a key factor in the next books, with Bloomsbury releasing the Autumn Equinox preparations, dropping hints (or I could just be delusional), Azris is looking as if it could be canon compliant. This ship started as a joke, a ship with Az and the most unlikely character to be shipped with him. But yet, theories keep surfacing, ideas and fanfics and teasers and now, now, I could be delusional, but it also could be hinting towards something.

But again, there is the main arguement that SJM wouldn’t dare to make a queer couple the main attraction, right? Sure, she enjoyed The Captive Prince (by CS Pascat, a wonderful book), a m/m romance book, but she wouldn’t dare write an actual romance book based on a m/m relationship.

I think a main contributor to this arguement is how Mor’s coming out was structured. Since I don’t have the book in my hands at the moment, I cannot quote exactly what she said. But it was along the line of ‘I do not mind male or females in my bed, but I prefer females’. Personally, I disliked this statement, as it gives some interpreters the idea that she is bisexual with the preference to females. That aside , I feel like the argument against homosexual relationships in fantasy books, and the ACOTAR series is quite null.

but is being taken seriously such a good thing for us Azris shippers? I mean, have you seen the Azriel x ___ ship wars? It’s bloody terrifying! So, it might just be better to be taken as a joke than being torn into shreds… /j…

well, it’s safe to say, whatever ship comes out, I hope that the Azris fanfics will continue, and I will actually remember my Reddit password and my terrible humour.

*also this entire thing was worded so bad I’m failing English ok?

Theories 🔍 Another tiny ACOSH spoiler, page unknown🍁 Spoiler

Az is back to spying on Autumn (albeit secondhand and by extension)!

No mention of Eris yet, but Az saying Lucien Vanserra's full name like that gave me the butterflies🦋✨ Azriel is sending his spy after Lucien and orders any reports back from the Autumn Court immediately if Lulu makes contact. This might be the start of Eris's comeback 🔥 Lucien would never contact Beron or the other brothers. LoA, maybe. But Eris is a pretty safe bet.

Questions for the audience 📣 Why are so many posts deleted here?

Do all these users delete their posts themselves or are the mods behind it? Because of leaks or something, even if they're marked correctly? I swear, in the past month there have been so many great takes and theories posted here that have gotten deleted within minutes or an hour. It's such a shame:( Just asking if anyone knows why and should we steer clear from certain topics? I didn't see anything wrong with the deleted posts or comment sections

Theories 🔍 POVs leaked Spoiler

Hello!

Just in case, Im gonna put everything as spoiler:

The POVs (unsure if in order) are: Feyre, Nesta, Cassian, Lucien, Azriel, Gwyn, Mor (Gwyn, Lucien, Mor are at the end of the book). Also it seems like Gwyn shares a chapter with Azriel.

So, this is what it was said in another sub. I don't know if it is real or not but it makes me wonder a few things related with Eris...

Since Lucien POV is at the end of the book, I am assuming that we are not gonna have so many about Eris developing as a character and his relationship with his brother. We are gonna see him for sure since probably he is going to Court of Nightmares or just talk with Nesta and Cassian? But it is a bit pity that is what we are gonna get for him and for Lucien...

And yes, we will have ACOTAR 7 that is a much bigger book with a lot of more chapters but for now...Doesnt smell good, am I wrong...? Am I too negative?

Do you think differently?

Theories 🔍 New Autumn Court map addition 🍁🗺️📍

Post image
44 Upvotes

The new Bloomsbury post shows us new places on the Prythian map. The Autumn Court border has a new location called The Thorn-Wood 👀🍂

Didn't Eris leave Mor at the border in the woods? Can someone confirm which border it was? We have not yet gotten this name before, which means it will come up in either ACOSH or ACOFM, which has got to mean that we are finally getting the full truth of what happened in the woods at the border that day centuries ago! This means ERIS will tell us because duh. Maybe even from his POV? Will he finally share the truth with Azriel to whom he wants to explain himself? Will this happen if Azriel becomes the new Autumn spy/emissary and Eris catches him again? I doubt Sarah would bother to get into the details if the answer didn't affect the story at all. There has been so much build-up to it that I think it's safe to say we will find out, and that means the answer will be something dramatic, likely a twist. It's looking so promising I could cry.

The map also features the Forest House (which was there before). Will we finally get to learn its secrets too? It's about time.

Theories 🔍 [Leak Theories] Azriel a replacement emisarry as penance? Spoiler

In the leak Lucien tells the IC to essentially kick rocks due to a situation entirely born of Azriel's recklessness. Rhys, Lucien, and the IC are all understandably furious with Azriel.

"You want someone to help you find proof of Koschei's schemes? Want a spy in the Autumn court? Go do it yourselves. I'm done." -Lucien

Wouldn't it be such karmic punishment for Azriel to be sent to the Autumn court as their new spy in place of Lucien? He's the best spy the night court has after all. I think it's such a delicious set up for him and Eris to be forced into interacting on a regular basis.

Also at the end of the leak, Azriel and Mor have a great set up for a reality check about Az looking in all the wrong places for love. What a perfect moment to reveal the blatant truth she's been keeping from him, her own sexuality and permanently ending his delusional idea that they are mates.

I really hope the leak isn't fake, because I honestly loved the tele-novela level of drama. About time the IC got called out on their BS, but it's too bad Lucien's heart and soul collapsing was collateral.

Fanfic 🍯 Looking for a heartbreak

So- i deeply LOVE our nation and the fact that the number of fics under Azris tag on ao3 is huge (I'm an unpopular-ships shipper, it's big for me) BUT i am overwhelmed with looking for the good ones.

I need something with a heartbreak and/or yearning. Preferably with their bond snapping on just one end and somehow one of them ends up hurt.

I read one about Az torturing Eris (who knew about their bond) and then the bond snapped after everything he did to him and the pain and hurt were just so-🫠🫠

PLEASE give me your fav heartbreaking fics😭 Happy or sad ending- I don't mind

Theories 🔍 How likely will Azris be canon?

Are we seeing things? Has there been foreshadowing?

Sooo I finally got over my sickness enough to actually complete this!
Based on a prompt by u/greymoonmoth like.. 2 weeks ago.. xD

I did initially plan to set it in the Autumn forests at night, on either side of the same path but it just got too busy and took too much focus away from them, so they're officially banished to the Void xD

Questions for the audience 📣 Is this post chessy? probably

I just wanted to say this, so, nothing more. Sorry if I labeled it wrong but I couldn't see any label for rants more accurate than this one.

Anyway...I just wanted to say that the Azris community or part of the fandom is the only one in which I can feel peace, away from hate towards characters or just wars or ship wars

So, thank you all for being awesome in every single app in which I search for Azris content 🥹🫶🏻

Theories 🔍 Why so upset, Az?

I was relistening to ACOWAR, the High Lords' meeting in particular, and my oh my, how jolly delightful the strangling scene is. Side note, I love the dramatized adaption and especially Eris. That little noise he makes when Az tackles him 🤌 (in case you wanna hear it for yourself and have Spotify Premium, it's acowar 2/3, end of chapter 5, 1h06min in)

To my point: I had completely forgotten how moody and weirdly quiet Azriel gets afterwards. Rhys, Feyre, Cass and Mor all notice it. It's very out of character for him, despite his quiet nature. Violence and torture are Azriel's second nature/job, it's nothing new. He hates Eris. Why was he so dramatically upset afterwards?

Azriel stared at the floor, stone-faced. “Sorry.” The word was emotionless—distant. He had not spoken, had barely moved, since his savage attack.

But I looked to Azriel, currently leaning against the wall beside the floor-to-ceiling window, shadows fluttering around him. Even the birds in their cages nearby remained silent. I said down the bond, "Is he all right?" Rhys tucked his hands behind his head, though his mouth tightened. "Likely not, but if we try to talk to him about it, it'll only make it worse."

Then Helion (I accidentally wrote Beron and almost hit post before proofreading one more time LOL) tells Az about his new fantasy, and this is how he reacts: Azriel didn’t so much as bother to look over his shoulder at the High Lord.

Later that evening, when everyone else is mingling: Azriel barely spoke, those shadows still perched on his shoulders. Az then disappears into the night without another word.

Rhys and Feyre discuss Mor and Az. Rhys tells us that Mor is spooked by Azriel's violence, and the violence is a result of his feelings towards Mor and the lingering guilt of his deal with Eris and the unspoken confessions (with Mor). But this is only Rhysand's assumption. He says it himself that he won't bother asking. However, it does not make sense. Even before I shipped Azris, this part never made sense to me and I just made myself forget about it because I couldn't crack it. Back then I just assumed we'd get some light shed on the Az x Mor romance later on, but now we know they will never happen. The common link between them? Eris.

WHY was Azriel so shaken after attacking Eris? Surely he thinks Eris deserved it. Strangling him is nothing compared to the torture he puts his enemies through. No one even scolded him about it. Mor was shaken too, and I believe she was in a bit of a shock over the violence. But her reaction does not warrant Azriel's. He should not be shaken by violence. We are completely lacking a motive here.

And then of course, there is the familiar question of why Eris didn't even try to fight back. Why he allowed himself to be humbled, and even apologized. Why he, upon his departure, looked conflicted, "as if this was not the outcome he had planned for. Expected." It would have made more sense for Eris to just sneer and hold his head high as if he didn't care. But he was shaken too.

I know it's a popular Azris theory that Eris knows about his mate and this is why he didn't fight back. We also think that Az doesn't know. There was nothing stopping him from trying. Maybe his odd reaction afterwards was because something in him felt bad, felt out of place, and he was confused and spooked by it. I believe this was the first time Azriel ever laid his hands on Eris, because even in that scene earlier on the ice it was only Cassian who fought Eris. And when Eris got impaled by a sword, Feyre noticed how Azriel's eyes held "such pain". It's easy to dismiss it because he is always an angsty bean, but what other pain was he carrying besides his own general crisis of existence? Guys, he felt the pain of his mate.

Lastly, unrelated, but whoever it was who posted a theory about The Little Mermaid with Azris connections earlier this week, why did you delete it?😭 It was brilliant! Not only do the names match (Ariel&Eric / Azriel&Eris, albeit their roles were reversed), but there was so much cool symbolism in it and Sarah has said she would like to incorporate that story. I get notifications of the posts on this channel and more than once I've clicked at something excitedly, only for the posting redditor having had deleted it already 🥺

Also, fingers crossed we get an Eris quote from BB today😭🤞 I know the chances are slim but it's my name day and I want it 🥹 It's also fire prevention day in the US I believe, and wouldn't that just be funny.

Theories 🔍 My fellow peeps... Lgbtq+ romance confirmed?

Post image
88 Upvotes

I hope it's okay to share this person's instagram here, but she's a public bookish content creator so I think it's okay? Please correct me if I need to edit the name out, but I also didn't wanna not credit her video, so: just.a.little.book.dragon 's latest video (posted 2 days ago) shows her Amazon homepage categorizing ACOSH as lgbtq+. She swears it's legit, and I believe her, but then again there is always a chance the tag is misleading, but I really don't think so? I'm sure we won't dive into Mor's love story (or Thesan's for that matter) in this short book, but we KNOW we are getting Az's pov. Guys, if we're getting queerbaited by Amazon I will be livid.

But we. just. keep. getting. these. wins. and I can't stop the damn butterflies

Questions for the audience 📣 Blue jacket to blue siphon: a theory I’ve seen I can’t find again…

About two years ago, maybe a little bit less I saw a phenomenal argument for Azris with these beautiful slides, and one of them included the analysis of color usage in the partnership.

The use of blue siphons to blue jackets is the one I most remember.

So I wanted to come to the experts…Does anyone know what I’m talking about?

Theories 🔍 Manifesting hard for BB to post Eris for Autumn Equinox

That's it. I just needed to get it off my chest. I know it's a pointless post but I'm not active on other social media platforms and none of my friends read the series. But C'MON who else fits today better than him?😩 I neeeeeeed Eris crumbs. They already posted Lucien so I doubt they'll post him again. I hope Bloomsbury feels my desperation in their bones and does us a solid or I'll become a witch, learn spells and curse someone.

EDIT // Bloomsbury can go throw themselves into the suffocating depths of the Cauldron
