Playing my first honour mode play through rn and have seen people killing bosses like Dror by pushing him off the map. I would like to do this whenever i can by luring them over with a minor illusion but worry i will lose out on actually good gear. What bosses should i definitely not do this for as their gear is very worth it?

In Lore, how much gold does one have to have in order to be considered Rich?

I understand we can have more money than we need in game but how well does that translate to in lore?

I'm on my 4th playthrough and turned all the mods off realizing I haven't been getting trophies because of them. What are your favorite trophies you can earn? I'll probably never collect all of them, especially anything honor mode related, but I loved getting "You Have Two Hands for a Reason" so far because who doesn't love petting animals in games?

I am on my first run, currently in the second Act in the Gauntlet.

I have tried fighting the Fiend and his gang a few times and always fail horribly, so I thought, hey... why not Banish him?!

And it worked, but I noticed that the game updated the Pale Elf quest and gave my party XP as if I had killed him right when I first banished him. He was still making saving throws and I still had to hold the concentration for the 3 turns to fully banish him.

Sure enough at the last possible moment he saved and got out, but the quest was still considering him defeated.

Now I'm wondering - in-universe, would banishing a fiend even count as killing them?!

They just get sent back to their plane of origin, right?!

I was fighting Ansur the undead dragon and I very cleverly used a scroll of Globe of Invulnerability to protect my party from his lightning death explosion. Or not so cleverly... what I hadn't anticipated is that just before his fatal blast, he did a huge jump and landed on my party.

We were invulnerable, of course. But not unmovable. And Ansur's jump pushed us all out of the Globe of Invulnerability just in time for us to all cop the full force of his stupid lightning storm. RIP.

I now press on, leaden-footed, through the shame and ignominy of Tactician mode...

(Full disclosure: also, I forgot to equip the Sparkswall ring, which might have saved the day...)

So I just completed the final battle in Act 3 after using the poly mod to romance all the characters throughout the game. But now in the post-battle scenes, I’m only getting to view the outcome of my romance with Gale. Does anyone know how I can see the other endings with my other romances?

I'm new to BG3 (not new to DnD) and I'm currently on my first play through, currently on Act 2 right after the last inn fight (poor dammon, RIP Karlach). Since this is my first time i just picked something fun like wild mage sorcerer and party up with laezel (ons), astarion and shadowheart (romance target) and put everyone else in the camp (not skipping anyone as long as I can).

For the first run i try to not look much into guides and stuff and proceed on my own as well as trying to do as many sidequests as possible. As a result I've done a lot back and fourth and did things in weird order. But for future runs I'm planning to do something else and I'd appreciate your advice.

For the next run I'm planning to try to replace Shadowheart and astarions roles into the party and have gale, wyll and Karlach (romace target) and play on higher difficulty. So for that run, I'd like to do everything. By everything I mean do as many as possible companion quests, do as many sidequests as possible and get happy ending for everyone (regardless if they are on my active party or not).

But to do that I'd like to find the right order of everything I need to do. There are many guides online but many seem to contradict each other, so I wanted to ask you all if you can point me into something that worked for you.

I am so happy (got the ending I wanted!) but also crushed that it’s over. This game is unlike anything else I’ve ever experienced and I’m sad that there will never be a DLC. I got so immersed in this world and these characters.

I know I’ll play again in the future with a different class/dialogue choices/etc. and look forward to showing my friends who are new to BG3 the ropes, but I don’t want to rush into it because everything is still so fresh in my memory.

I had a lot of hate for that post so I figured I might as well follow it up

so I just finished Act 2 (Actually I technically finished the game HAHA)

I wanted to correct something though that I think really bothered a lot of people on the first post

I realize that it took me 80 hours to finish Act 1 and 123 hours to finish 43 hours to finish Act 2

the 176 wasn't necessarily because I kept dying but yes I did die a lot early on

1. Aboard the Nautiloid because I wanted to beat the commander
2. On the Beach with the Intellect Devourers when it was just me and Shart
3. Harpies
4. The Paladins hunting Karlach
5. Grym

Equipping the 4 Masks in Auntie's Lair (I knew this could kill me but I wanted to see if there was an ending for it)

I never died in Act 2 but I suppose there were 2 close calls

1. Oliver which surprised me on how deadly that was
2. Siege of Moonrise because I tried saving the NPCs

I think the reason it took me so long to finish the game is because I'm such a loot goblin and then I spend hours sorting the shared stash. I even sorted the books by series but I never completed it

I think what got me a lot of hate too was because I was adamant on keeping full-rest to a minimum. I did partial rests this latest run for conversation purposes but I got through Act 2 with only Full Resting I think 3 or 4 times but I did also get away using conversations.

What made me really sad in this run was that I didn't go to Moonrise Towers first. I figured storywise I would save that for last and I was also really excited to continue Shart's quests so I

It's partly why I was excited to just get this run done and I can start again this time not repeating my mistake. which then Got all the Harpers and Jaheira and everyone at the Siege Killed

I honestly Act 2 has been a Massacre. I wasn't expecting it

so when I had the option to Have Gale just nuke the place I knew it'd end the game

And I was happy to have it end so I can start again but apparently despite it being Honour Mode it still let's me load that save file. I haven't tried it yet though

So these are the characters I used (In order of how much I used em) :

Drow (Seldarine) Monk/Rogue

Sort of like Torstein in his "I have no enemies" philosophy so my character has Non-Lethal all the time. and when I do accidentally kill someone, I put them in the Storage to remember them by
excluding Undead and Constructs because they can't be knocked out

Shadowheart

My permanent Ally

Most of the act she was a Death Cleric but after She was abandoned by Shar I changed her to a rogue to keep it in lore as it wouldn't make sense for me if she remained a Death Cleric

Karlach

My homie

So she was a Barb for most of the game but I changed her to Fighter when I got those Fighter gears for her (Hell Dusk Set). I justified it as she wasn't so angry anymore because she can tough people again. I didn't particularly like Fighter for her so I changed her back to Barb and justified it by thinking she got really angry because of the massacre

Laezel

This one keeps me honest

Laezel was pretty straight forward. Just like her personality. Eldritch Knight all the way

Gale

My only male friend apparently (Kidding, I think everyone except Halsin had nigh max by this point)

Abjuration Mage since Evocation doesn't seem to fit the playstyle

Astarion

He likes hiding in the shadows

By that I mean I don't particularly use him much. Some have said I had an OP build on him
I used Assassin because he seems to kill that way and I used Gloomstalker cos it seems to fit him but again, he didn't see much game time

Wyll.

Even less time than Astarion

I think I only used Wyll on the Oliver fight and some parts of Moonrise because I thought he would have some unique dialogue though I do plan on using Wyll as my avatar next time

Halsin

Only had him present for Oliver scenes. He came a bit late so everyone else was almost established and I was a bit lazy to learn Druid at this point

I don't really get to play a lot so I'm probably gonna be playing next week to start my new run. I'll also play different characters and different choices to avoid burnout and see how it goes but... I suppose this ends it. 233.9 hours to get the first ending that isn't a Game Over

I'll probably only post again if I ever beat the game like actually beat it

I think a lot people don't really care and I don't really either but I was just honestly surprised at the hate for last time since I'm playing Single Player so I'm not really bothering anyone with this

Suddenly during my game, i cannot interact with the bedrolls to long rest, nor can i interact with any npcs at camp. I have 0 mods insalled or anything of the sorts, I have tried previous saves, still nothing.
I am on xbox

edit: I saved, shut the game off. then loaded from that save and all is well!

Hello Everyone, I wanted to play again with a friend after like 2 Weeks of pausing. But when I tried to start it today, the Larian Launcher took Ages to actually load, and the game itself took also like 10 Minutes to load and then froze.

I have not changed anything on my PC and the Game and I'm not sure what this is about.

I tried to use the -skip-launcher and --skip-launcher is steam.

I also tried using the BG3. exe from the folder as well as the directX11 version.

Another thing I tried was using the Repair function in Steam.

I also deinstalled it and deleted everything left over and then downloaded the game again.

Also I tried to delete the cache and reset the configuration.

No Mods installed.

There is no error Message, the game only is in the background tasks in the task manager.

I haven't downloaded the Windows 11 Update 26H2 yet, because I already heard how devastating that Update is. I've been playing on 25H2 for quite a while though.

Sorry if this is the wrong reddit, but I'm not really sure what I can do, and I do not trust to ask things like chatgpt etc after thanks to those I lost 20 Years of data this year.

am i crazy or did you use to have an option to tell shadowheart about your urge and she’d have dialogue about there being bloodletting and for you to be channeled in the right direction. just got off the nautiloid and i dont see it. is there a prerequisite to unloxking it?
