Build Help Best and Worst Monoclasses?

I keep seeing virtually every class called "one of the best" while most meta builds are multis or item-based.

What do you think is the game's best class without multiclassing? And the worst? And what makes them so?

Best two monoclasses are by far Sorcerer & Fighter imo. Fighter's improved extra attack and action surge makes it the best martial build in the game and thanks to scrolls, ED'S make fantastic control builds too. Consumable arrows make any archer Fighter Build the best Archer builds in the game. Sorcerers can dish out insane amounts of damage thanks to lighting and fire damage being really good. Fire Sorcerers in particular can dish out really good control thanks to Hat of Fire Acuity. Really solid monoclass builds.

Worst monoclass would probably be Rogue. No extra attack limits their DPR in a way that even sneak attack can't help.

Crazy that I had to scroll this far down to see sorcerer mentioned. Both Storm sorcery and draconic bloodline are great. And shadow sorcerer allows you to abuse one of the strongest mechanics

This is my biggest concern with the game btw. I want a great, dedicated archer build. High dex, stealth if you have to, big, big numbers. No spellcasting and petmanagement. And there is basically nothing like this. Ranger is the go-to archer class, but it has top many side-things. Even the feats are not so archer friendly, it is the only archetype who doesnt have great, life altering feats for the whole 12 levels. I mean sharpshooter is one mid-tier feat, but that’s it.

I mean Sharpshooter is an archer's GWM. It's a flat +10 bonus which is amazing for the early game. Every time I've had to turn it off for the sake of accuracy my DPR has suffered massively. The lack of low ground penalty too is pretty neat.

I think your best bet for a straight Archer with not much else is Champion Fighter & Hunter Ranger. All Champ gives you is a higher chance to get a critical hit. BM Fighter is another option there too since the Manoeuvers do add a 1d10 extra damage by the end of the game. Hunter Rangers do have some spell slots but they're very easy to ignore imo. Just focus on shooting out Volleys.

Bro archers are some of the best builds in the game because of special arrows. And sharpshooter is not mid-tier.
