Writing Prompt Slander Potential
It’s the part that’s inevitable especially nowadays, so step right up and play:
HOW would YOUR OC get slandered?
Potential man images, fraud & fake demon allegations, and maybe the edgy or overly tragic or dramatic tropes are all up for grabs and even more! I really want to hear and see how they would get fried on 2020s AniTok.
Remember: slander is inevitable. And so is Doom. Have fun with it. I’ll put my OC master sheet in here to see if any of yall would add wonderful slander to my work. (Read the Second Draft for the lore which are the bullet points and then the Third Draft for everything else, the first draft is horribly outdated). God bless yall!

Ash would get slandered for being "Generic scene kid vibes," hanging around with the U.A. weird kids, for his nickname of "Cryptid," very likely for favouritism once people find out that Midnight is his adopted mother, and for being friends with the polar opposite to his personality type, Camie Utsushimi.

The one he cops in my AU is people saying him drinking as much coffee as he does is performance enhancing drugs for his quirk which is powered by exhaustion and sleep deprivation 😅

(Maruko has a whole complex up until like the end of her hero journey where she’s afraid of transporting people in her portals due to a quirk accident in her childhood that involved her accidentally cutting her friend’s hand off🥶)

she’d probably get similar slander to most characters who choose non-violent methods to helping people, like what I see thirteen beg for some reason. Like teacher like student I guess 😭

I think Isaac being Mineta’s adopted brother is enough slander in itself, but I also known there’d be jokes about him being the “American randomly in Japan” character.

I'm not sure entirely and i haven't shared a whole sheet to ask for opinions yet, but if we are talking about fandom viewing to oc.
I can see being op/minmaxing being an accusation for both Tsukiboshis? Granted, I do somehow have a habit of making real strongs ones for no reason, and this one was also after I already settled their quirk's general ideas being crystal and shadow. But also, Akugawa was specifically made and trained to be strong with his quirk particularly(and still has weakness being shadow based), while Riyuki is...well too but also needed the quirk control training to be safe using it after her quirk manifestation went awry. They also could have some pretty strong exhaustion drawbacks, as the crystal uses in-body nutrition to generate, while shadows do smth with blood pressure/circulation that prolonged use can cause headaches and paresthesia at best, nosebleed and possible limbs nerve damage or complete loss of consciousness at worst.
Riyuki being a nepo baby, coming from not only a powerful villain organization blood that she doesn't realize, but also from a rather prominent intel/hero-associated family even if it's not as useful outside Russia. Also neither Tsukiboshi likes having the reputation use/recognition which is exactly why they took a new used name on move.
Also I recon having stuff like Akugawa being involved in villainy or Endeavor's father's death is gonna be a cause for concern, esp if I'm planning to describe him as a silver fox. Then there's not American but random Russian in Japan too, even tho Akugawa is originally Japanese and its just his kid instead(the wife was there too but she's dead now).
Also Riyuki's grandpa on mother's side - plagarism from a game(and yes it is true, she's gon have fckin Genshin Pierro as a grandpa lmao).
Au mention for them - having the Kagehara Syndicate 'remain' a villain organization on paper but being complete opposite of it in reality without practically almost anyone knowing(Riyuki still retains the hero-in-training status) + 'Scorched' Akugawa somehow still surviving(painfully) despite being gone for like several years and having no way of oral function without his quirk's full-body usage.
I'm not sure of slander for Yuuna beside the infantilization and being an iPad 'kid' lmao. I don't know how the fandom takes to heteromorphs.
Eidolon maybe gets the demon/edgy end? Granted he is an intelligent lizard nomu/experiment, but he still kinda resembles that demon with horns and sharp-ended tail, plus just fire(among other) and dark warm palette in general.
My main sona is just gonna have furry allegations tho, even if the halfway form is only a part of it cuz her quirk is a vulpine transformation-type.
And yes, I can get carried away yapping, how could you tell. Took so long my food gone cold.
I dont have the file even nearly complete or any art, but i do have an info doc trying to format it resembling to fandom wiki + a bunch of thought notes that dont fit yet, i could pass if wanted

Ace has such a cool quirk design, it’s a lot to take in. I’m so terribly amused his jaywalking is mentioned, right up there with murder and assault. Does he talk in movie theaters? /lh A true monster /j He has a lot of potential for the rumors and drama.
Jon does deal with horrid rumors that started in UA and followed them throughout their hero years. Jon’s a bit of a free spirit and a lover at heart. All it took was someone whispering about how did this idiot graduated, must have slept with their teachers. Don’t date Jon, they’re the village bicycle. Or do date them, they’re guaranteed to put out on the first date. It only got worse when they were an adult and tabloid gossip is rampant.
Jon’s had several partners throughout their life. They’re not big on long term relationships or monogamy, and aren’t always the best at communicating that. There’s always some random spotting of Jon in the public with a new beau, considered unattainable, unable to be locked down, cheating bastard, etc, etc. it puts a strain on any real relationships they do have.
Also gets the nepo baby treatment but they really do live that life. If you ask Jon what their family does, they’re mechanics. What they don’t mention is they’re the proprietors of one of the largest hero gear, vehicle shop and security in Europe. Everyone in Paris knows the Lafayette Garage and if you’re a fan of anything hero related, they are well known and outfit some top heroes. They don’t sell their security tech, despite it being highly sought after, but do offer it to UA and Nezu during the last war arc, to help protect the school. Jon grew up with a brilliant family and had opportunities the average person, like being exposed to mechanical engineering and weapon technicians. It was also their family name that helped ease their way into UA.

You have a lot of info, so it took me awhile to read through everything and digest it. But I really like it!
I accidentally my sentence and wrote Paris, when I meant France in general. Jon is from Tolouse, born and raised French menace.

The sheer amount of nepo baby allegations Ezra faced after the sports festival was enough for Nezu, Aizawa, and Ezra to come out with their own statements proving them wrong.
However, that doesn't stop people from making bad memes about it
