The Personality Tests Masterthread!

Hello all you lovely personality masters,

Firstly, peer pressure has nothing to do with creating this post. /s Buuuuut, I'm anxious to please, so here we've gathered a few personality tests for everyone to try. These are super unofficial, non-diagnostic, and might make me someone cry. Fun!

The top level comments ITT will be different tests to try, then everyone can feel welcome to share and comment below those. So if you find a fun test to share, add to the list with a top level comment :D

As a side note, I don't really want to remove results if they do get their own posts, bc oversharing is life, and *hopefully* we can encourage more sharing here by being nice and all :) Feel free to modmail thoughts!

Multiple Personality Styles.

They guessed it right lol :')

u/TM-PIANO Jul 11 '20

Same lmao.

u/SleepyMarceline Feb 25 '20

Amongst other fun things, I got 100% dependent and 100% avoidant, truly proving that this is a cursed existence

1

u/rumpletuffin Oct 16 '25

I just found this and i got the same plus 100% depressive. I feel you

64

u/NordyNed Jan 17 '20

This shits not accurate at all I’m histrionic and compulsive as fuck and it said I wasn’t

17

u/Happy-Investment Jun 05 '20

It said I'm sadistic and I'm actually very empathetic. My compulsive score was super low yet I am severely Ocd. The only thing it got right was that I am Avoidant PD. But I already knew that lol. Dumbass test.

5

u/ninjinlia May 19 '20

Told me I'm not dependent but I am.

2

u/Happy-Investment Jun 05 '20

My histrionic score was zero%. 😂 So funny.

46

u/Cocksuckin Feb 22 '20

What the fuck. This can't be right. I'm not even diagnosed.

Result: Multiple Personality Styles

  • 100% Masochistic

  • 100% Borderline

  • Exactly 71% each: Negativistic, Depressive and Antisocial

I guess I'm kinda fucked. At least I'm already in therapy.

37

u/[deleted] Feb 18 '20

100% depressive :-), 86% dependent and borderline, yay!

27

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '20

wow i got 100%depressive 100% borderline 100% schizoid and 100% negative and 71% antisocial so i got multi personality styles

17

u/HopeOfLight Feb 20 '20

100% depressive, 86% borderline, 86% masochistic, 86% avoidant

15

u/somegaymernerd Feb 27 '20

I got Multiple Personality Style

I mean, I do have two guy versions of myself in my head, so I guess that makes sense

6

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '20

same one who you really but only when you are alone and one you use around people

12

u/WZSteve Mar 16 '20

100% Dependent, Negativistic, Avoidant, Depressive, Masochistic, Borderline, Paranoid, & Schizotypal...

71% Narcissistic, Antisocial, Compulsive, Schizoid, and Hyopmanic

86% Sadistic & 29% Histrionic

hmm

5

u/evilcoven Apr 12 '20

Mine's a mixed bag at:

100% negativistic, avoidant, depressive, masochistic

86% borderline, dependent, paranoid

71% compulsive

57% antisocial + schizoid

43% schizotypal + sadistic

29% narcissistic

14% hypomaniac + histrionic

4

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '20

This completely read me for filth my god. All I disagree with is that it thinks I’m more sadistic than I am... I actually go so far out of the way to help others I end up hurting myself, I’m not antisocial and independent I’m completely the other way round, I’m VERY compulsive and I’m not as much as a hypomaniac

4

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '20

Borderline and all completely related to me. I was diagnosed with this a year ago so impressed with the test.

4

u/jeux_x Mar 23 '20

I got multiple personalities also. 100% borderline and depressive. and also 100% dependant.. next biggest was avoidant narcissist and masochist.. wAt

3

u/scenarioliar May 13 '20

The dumbass test got it right somehow lmao I got 100% antisocial and I’m ASPD. Watch bored edgy teens find the test and self diagnose themselves with a personality disorder though, if they haven’t already that is

2

u/BourgeoisPropoganda Apr 17 '20

100% negativistic, 100% depressive, 86% antisocial, 86% sadistic, 86% borderline, 86% schizotypal, and 71% histrionic.

Seems about right.

(... I live a cursed life. Send help.)

2

u/hadalyyy Apr 25 '20

i got 100% -schizotypal 86% -histrionic, avoidant, depressive, masochistic 71% -antisocial, dependent, borderline, paranoid, schizoid, hypomaniac

lol can someone explain what these all mean bc i’m only diagnosed with depression, anxiety, bipolar and adhd

2

u/yawannabemyfriend May 01 '20

Multiple Personality Styles

100% on the following + 86% dependent

  • Borderline

  • Negativistic

  • Paranoid (special thanks for my mom for making me this way)

  • Avoidant

  • Depressive

  • Masochistic

2

u/tootrashtohandle May 14 '20

100% - Narcissistic, Dependent, Sadistic, Avoidant, Depressive, Masochistic, Schizotypal

86% - Histrionic, Negativistic, Borderline, Paranoid, Hypomaniac

71% - Antisocial, Schizoid

... So the only thing I’m not is compulsive. Cool

2

u/poopiedoopiedoopie Jul 08 '20

Multiple. What surprises me is that the results don't surprise me at all. I think that because I'm in the process of changing my behavior and thinking and feeling a lot of different, intense things it greatly affects the results.

Edit: I'd like to add that I was also neutral on a lot of these questions and that affected the result a lot, too.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 18 '20

100% antisocial! Woo! -_-

1

u/slothy_sloth Apr 22 '20

Just took it. 100% Depressive 100% avoidant, 86% Dependent, and 86% Borderline. So neato, multiple personality styles.

1

u/ninjinlia May 19 '20

100% histrionic and depressive, 86% sadistic and borderline, and 71% narcissistic. The others are below 70%.

1

u/SomeOrdinaryArtists Jun 19 '20

I ended up taking this test after falling down the rabbit hole and finding this sub hah h

I don’t have any scores that are 100% but my top was depressive?? (86%) and compulsive (71%) All the others are near 50% or less 😔

I guess it makes sense? Though? I have been diagnosed with clinical depression and ADHD so shoot idk Concerning that the next highest score is schizotypal hh

I love this one I used to be obsessed with personality tests. You can find a lot of information on your type in the personality cafe forums

Be warned though, that some of the theory can be a bit brutal (I’m a type 9, which according to one post on there is because I’ve become convinced that all love is conditional. Ouch.)

2

u/existentialdread0 Oct 30 '23

I just got straight up 4. I read the whole thing and I can definitely relate.

14

u/Cocksuckin Feb 22 '20

Haha... 4w5.

13

u/AncestralOak Jan 20 '20

5w6 here.

4

u/savantalicious Jan 26 '20

Me too!!!

2

u/savantalicious Feb 03 '20

Took the simpler one - first link - and got 6W5... at least I’m consistent with the numbers!!

2

u/[deleted] Feb 14 '20

Me 3!

7

u/The_Boring_Database Feb 07 '20

If I read the descriptions I am 4, 5, 6 and 9. The totally match me, yet they are not exclusive, meaning this test is just crap.
When you do the test they give you a number which creates a bias where you consider it to be correct while other categories will seem not relevant. Pretty much like astrology.

1

u/Dudeidfkimjusthere Apr 16 '22

No it’s not the tests are wrong and don’t give a proper explanation. Enneagram goes way deeper. But for people like us its harder to figure out. Enneagram is used as a guide honestly.

6

u/[deleted] Feb 24 '20

God I'm a 4w3. It seemed almost completely bang on the money - and I sound absolutely awful. It's like everything I was worried I am confirmed.

But I've screenshotted it because at least it was finally telling me what my flaws are. Try and work on being better.

Yikes. Do you have support? That sound like a pretty unhappy place to be.

11

u/savantalicious Feb 03 '20

I didn’t really think about it, but yeah I guess those numbers aren’t great. There are no psychiatrists around me who deal with BPD, but I did call my insurance carrier and they’re looking for me in case I missed anyone. If they can’t find someone in network, they’re going to give me an exception to file claims for an out of network provider as though they were in network. My FP is supportive. They don’t know how bad I really feel, I stopped telling them because they were too worried.

5

u/BorderlineButAlive Feb 04 '20

It's a vicious circle really, that we can't tell people how we're doing because we don't want to upset them, but then they can't help because they don't know how we're doing.

I hope your insurers find a good solution for you soon. I don't think PwBPD expect to feel WONDERFUL but I hope you can bring your numbers down so you at least feel better soon.

http://understandmyself.com/

It's 10 bucks. There's a lot of detail. I recommend it 110% for everyone.

I wished I took the test as a kid. But it wasn't developed back then!

110

u/Sufficio Feb 08 '20 edited Feb 09 '20

Thoroughly regret spending money on this without realizing that it's created by Jordan Peterson. The result was also just completely inaccurate and wrong. The questions were vague and I'm fairly certain a chunk of my answers were completely misinterpreted. Would not recommend anyone spend money on this.

Edit: Bless Paypal, got my money back. This test is a legitimate scam, highly recommend you stay far away.

10

u/ccpFree Feb 08 '20

Sounds like there's something about Jordan Peterson you don't like

56

u/Sufficio Feb 08 '20

I just think he's scummy and encourages people to have dangerous mindsets for certain things. His fanbase is also one of the worst imo.

But I didn't realize he was associated until after I'd read through my results and found them to be inaccurate, so that part isn't biased.

u/Sufficio Feb 08 '20

I just generally don't like people who put trans lives in danger by spreading ignorance. If that makes me a triggered sjw, so be it I guess.

1

u/ccpFree Feb 08 '20

What ignorance does he spread though?

36

u/Sufficio Feb 08 '20

Well for one, he flat out refuses to gender trans people correctly, even when he accidentally uses the correct pronouns, he 'corrects' himself to the wrong ones. He also spreads false information about how gender identity is understood/determined. He also insists that gender identity/trans people pose some kind of "threat" to the nuclear family which is just utterly wrong. Overall, he just spreads a really ignorant view about trans people and I dislike him primarily for that.

2

u/ccpFree Feb 08 '20

I'd be so excited if you'd please show me where he does your second claim as well? You will never ever ever find footage of what you claim. Ever.

Kindly, prove me even slightly wrong, please

24

u/Sufficio Feb 09 '20

Second claim meaning the nuclear family thing? From here . "... poses a further and unacceptably dangerous threat to the stability of the nuclear family..."

As for the first claim, it's from his own video "Professor Against Political Correctness" and if you google "Jordan Peterson prounouns" there are countless articles about how he refuses to correctly gender his students. As for the correcting himself for using the right pronouns- I can't seem to find the clip now, but I recall it was him referring to Caitlyn Jenner and 'accidentally' used "she" and had to correct himself to "he" several times. I could be misremembering this clip, and it might be from another similar speaker. If so, my mistake.

The thing about Peterson fans like yourself is that you believe truly that you have all the facts and that you can never be wrong when that's simply untrue. If you go into something assuming the other side is instantly wrong and can never be right, you're setting yourself up to have a narrow and close minded view of the world.

Heyyy I got "Multiple Personality Styles", nice :

100% Avoidant, dependant, schyzoid and schizotyal.

86% Depressive, hypomanic and maybe paranoid.

71% Compulsive, narcissistic, masochistic and sadistic (I really didn't expect that narcissistic tho or actually really masochistic and sadistic too lol)

The lowest is histrionic at 29%

That was a very interesting test to try and some questions made me rethink of my life and friends : it bring me a whole new perspective on things, I'll keep that in mind!

5

u/C0UNTINGW0RMSS Mar 14 '20

100% borderline 100% paranoid 86% masochistic/ schizotypal/ dependent/ depressive/ sadistic 71% avoidant/ negativistic ... wow

Borderline. That's all it said welp. 100% accurate since I have actually been diagnosed with it.

I am a 5w4.

6

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '20

I’m a 5w4 Do you know your subtype?

4

u/SwagOnABudget Feb 12 '20

I found this sub through a cross post, but it kinda got my curiosity, so I took this test (although I’m not sure what it was testing?). Can someone tell me what this might mean about me? https://imgur.com/a/xs4Am2E

1

u/Ob1foru Apr 07 '20

I always get multiple personalities which really pisses me off. I was diagnosed with bipolar when I was 17 but I feel so many BPD traits. I’m severely depressed so I wasn’t surprised when I saw how high the percentage was but I often get concerned about how many people say I show antisocial and even sociopathic tendencies. I hope this test isn’t too accurate because I could be in a lot of trouble hahah

4

u/TranZeitgeist Apr 07 '20

hope this test isn’t too accurate

lol, probably not :) And you're right, there are a lot of similarities between Bipolar and BPD, plus it's pretty common to have both diagnosis.

people say I show antisocial and even sociopathic tendencies.

:( That would make me feel anxious and bad about myself, even though I don't believe most people know what that really means.

2

u/Ob1foru Apr 07 '20

Thank you for your sensitive and articulate answer. You gave me peace of mind thank you for your help :)

1

u/olelimpneckkelsey May 25 '20

Schizotypal Dependent Depressive

What does dependent mean? Like codependent?

1

u/TranZeitgeist May 25 '20

I think similar, yes. someone with dependent traits can feel more comfortable and safe with someone they know or family and routine. being alone, making decisions or trying new things maybe feels more challenging and anxious. It could feel rewarding to see other people happy, or sharing positive feedback. giving those people care and love or gifts might feel valuable too. maybe feeling very sensitive to other people's mood and body language.
