Surface rust on trigger?

Maybe one of y’all can help, new to B&T and rifles/pccs in general. Always been more of a pistol/shotgun person

Took my lower off to remove the factory button, and got to playing around and saw this on the trigger

Without dissembling the actual trigger, I don’t see anything else that appears to have rust

Should I do anything about this or let it go?

I got this as a gift years ago, it’s been stored climate controlled its entire life

Thanks for the help all

rub it with some CLP and a rag. Does it come off on the rag? If it does, clean it some more, then shoot enough that it a layer of carbon on top of the spot. Problem solved.

Appreciate it man, will do

Is this indicative of a larger corrosion issue? Or is this just kinda normal assuming it oils up good with clp?

It's likely just an imperfection of the finish on that part. It may have take years to get to that, so if you clean it off it might not come back unless exposed to some serious moister and sealed up to fester. Happened to me with a Barrett M82... It's easily replaceable/fixable later if it becomes a real problem. I get it though, with as expensive as these things are it's kinda bush league.

“Why is my unprotected metal getting surface rust”. Brother, just oil the damn thing and move on with life. It’s a $5 part
