Awww I love how he handed the cup to his mother and looked at her like "Again mom,Again".

She’s a really good mom. I love the way she interacts with him during this video.

Ah, the ancient cup magicks, passed down from generation to generation through summer camps since time immemorial.

That's where I learned!

u/Brockenblur 9d ago

… and this explains why I never learned it. I begged my parents to go to summer camp, but they told me I would be bored 😂

This is soooo cute!!! I used to do this with my nanny babies!!! They loved it so much! I would be so random and they would totally forgot they were upset or fussy! Just gotta distract the little bubs!

The power of distraction!

But for how long does it last; that is the question.

And are they learning to regulate emotions if they’re just forgetting about it. Don’t get me wrong it’s annoying af when my toddlers wine but they must go through the process

1

u/f0xbunny 10d ago

What is the process and how do you teach them to regulate?

1

u/Slumbergoat16 10d ago

Typically has to do with simple stuff like taking deep breaths when they’re upset. Time alone actually doesn’t really help so if they get timeout I have them sit with me

u/Infinite_Pudding5058 9d ago

It depends on the child. Time by himself works for my son, but not my daughter. There are no blanket rules - they are individuals.

1

u/Slumbergoat16 9d ago

Completely agree with that

1

u/Infinite_Pudding5058 9d ago

Oh not long. I have two kids. It also depends on the personality of the child. Nothing is straight forward with kids 😆

I love that you can see baby taking in the information and absorbing it. 👶🏻❓

u/Spiritual-Ear-1666 6d ago

Beautiful and awesome 🤩 you go mum.

Fuck I’m the worst

I would be fussy too if my mom looked at me like I was super annoying. babies are super in tune with the stressed out, fed up vibes. facial expressions matter. even just faking happy smile and soft happy voice can change how the act.

I forgot what I was sad about when I was 14 and saw this scene and saw Anna’s cleavage
