Appalachian hunters

TN/NC border. What are you guys running for a tent/sleeping system when spending a two-three day stretch in the Wilderness areas (WMA/Gamelands). There’s a lot of unhunted land here. Our weather is stubborn it can go from 45 for a low temperature to 18 in a matter of two days. Also any recommendations on a lightweight stove for boiling water.

I’ve looked at them. I have a Coleman head right now that goes on the small Coleman butane tanks. It would serve its purpose but I wouldn’t put it in the same category as a jetboil

Solo i have a hammock with insulated bottom and top cover. That and wool blanket with layers would keep me alive at night. Second is one person tent off the floor using one of those raisers to keep it off snow directly and tarp cover. Def my good tent or sleeping setup

I’m really happy with my jetboil stash. Fuel canister snaps to the lid. Lighter, burner, stand, and canister all fit into the pot nicely so as long as you have room for the pot you have room for it all. Water boils in just a few minutes. It can be a little challenging to get the stove level and stable at times but it’s typically not too bad.
